Property Overview
Our unit is a privately owned hotel room located in the Outrigger Kauai Beach Resort and Spa.
Amazing ground floor unit with king bed, chaise lounge and walk out lanai to pools/ beach. Step out your door, in seconds your at the pools and a minute or two your at the beach!
The Outrigger Kauai Beach Resort and Spa is a beautiful Hawaiian resort located on 25 acres of lush Garden Isle, centrally located between Kauai’s south and north shores, making it perfect for your island adventures. Only minutes from the airport, Costco, Walmart and Shopping. You will go thru a tree canopy lined drive that leads to the resort. Several acres of beach front property to enjoy and explore. On property there are four swimming pools, complete with water falls, a poolside cabana bar and grill, two jacuzzies, fitness center and day spa. Paradise will be your back yard!
KAUAI RESORT AMENITIES
• 4 swimming pools, including 2 lagoon pools, 75-ft lava tube slide, & kid-friendly sand bottom pool.
• Two whirlpool spas, one amidst a stone grotto and surrounded by lush ferns and an exotic waterfall.

• Free Wi-Fi access in lobby, restaurants, and the pool areas.
• Hawaiian Rainforest Boutique Spa offering sauna, spa treatments, massages ect.
• Concierge and activities/tour desk.

• Fridge for your food, soda, wine, etc.

• There is a coffee maker in the room. (please bring the coffee and supplies you will need for the length of your stay) We will provide a starter pack for you.

Please note that the resort will be undergoing lobby renovations through Summer 2026. During this period, check-in will take place next to the ballroom. The Outrigger team is committed to ensuring a positive experience for all guests and appreciates your understanding during these improvements.
Naupaka Terrace restaurant and Driftwood Bar & Grill (poolside) will remain open and available to serve you.
PARKING
• $40/day parking fee paid directly to Outrigger Kauai Beach Resort at check-in.
CHECK-IN / CHECK-OUT POLICY
• Check-in time is 4:00 PM / Check-out time is 11:00 AM.
Check in procedure:
Simply check in at the front desk with your name and booking info.
HOUSEKEEPING SERVICES
• Please note that daily maid service is not included when renting direct through VRBO. The cleaning fee included in your payment to VRBO covers cleaning/re-stocking the room after your stay.
If you would like a mid-stay cleaning (maid service) for your room it is $65 each cleaning. Towel exchange is $25.
As Private Unit guest you have full access to the pools, whirlpool spas, the grounds, the beach, the business center, the restaurants, the lounge, the poolside bar, live music, the fitness room and the Hawaiian Rainforest Spa.
By renting via VRBO you avoid paying the $35 per day resort fee charged by the Outrigger Kauai Beach Resort. However, the Hawaiian Cultural classes, which include classes like Hula and Lei Making are not included as part of your stay.

FAQs - FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
IS THIS CONDO OR A HOTEL ROOM?
Both. The resort was previously a Hilton hotel, the units are just like hotel rooms. However, they are privately owned “condotels”. The resort operates much like a hotel, and most guests are not aware that the units are privately owned. Most of the units are offered to the public through the resort or through travel sites at much higher retail prices. Although, a few are offered on VRBO at owner rates with access to the resort’s amenities.
WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN RENTING ON VRBO vs. THE RESORT
The $$$ price and also maid service. Renting direct through VRBO saves you a lot of money. However, daily maid service is not included. The cleaning fee you pay when booking takes care of cleaning and restocking the unit after your stay.
DOES THE UNIT HAVE A KITCHEN?
No. They do not have kitchens they were previously hotel rooms.
ARE WE ABLE TO COOK IN THE UNIT?
No. Local fire ordinances do not allow cooking in any of the rooms. The resort has a microwave in the lounge area on the 5th floor of Building 2 that can be used by all guests.
WHAT IS THE RESORT’S BEACH LIKE?
The resort is located on a 3-mile stretch of beautiful beach, amazing for long walks. The beach is very scenic but, is not considered a swimmable beach as it has a decent amount of coral. The surf is also unpredictable. It's best is to go to some of Kauai's many famous beaches for swimming. Lydgate Beach park is a nearby beach that is good for swimming.
SHOULD I GET A CAR?
We recommend that you have a rental car. The resort has most everything you need to have a wonderful time and relax. A car will allow you to experience many popular attractions, buying groceries, and going to many amazing restaurants etc.
IS THERE FREE SHUTTLE SERVICE FROM THE AIRPORT?
No. The shuttle service from the airport is not available to our guests. The resort does offer free shuttle service to/from the airport for guests who book through the resort. Outrigger Kauai Beach Resort is close the airport which makes taxi prices more reasonable. Uber also operates on the island!
ARE THERE BEACH TOWELS TO TAKE TO THE BEACH?
Your stay includes 4 pool/beach towels.
DOES THE RESORT CHARGE A RESORT FEE?
Private owner guests are not required to pay the $35 daily resort fee.
DO I HAVE TO PAY FOR A DAILY PARKING FEE?
Yes, if you have a car the resort charges $40/day for parking. This fee is paid by the guest to Kauai Beach Resort at check-in.
DO I GET FREE WI-FI INTERNET SERVICE?
YES! Wi-Fi is FREE in all the units. The signal extends into the lobby, restaurants, bars and in the pool area!

The room and location were perfect! The responses from the host was quick and helpful.
The room was clean and comfortable, and the direct walk out to the pool was very nice. The beach is not walkable from the property as itvis very narrow and filled with debris that washes up, but there is a path alongside that provides beautiful views of the waves. The resort was beginning major construction during our stay, but we weren't affected by the noise in our room.
The room was nice and comfortable, but be aware it doesn’t have a microwave. There’s a coffee maker but no coffee provided , no shampoo/conditioner was provided , and the beach is not useable- it’s just a strip of sand and you can’t go in the water. There’s a table in the room but only one chair, which means two people can’t sit together.
We enjoyed the pool. We did not know that the resort was under construction for remodel. The entrance and lobby was closed off. This was disappointing.
The room was wonderful. It had everything we needed and I loved the short walk from our patio to the pool. We didn't have to worry about going through the lobby or in the elevators to get to the pools. Crystal was excellent with communication and and the room was nicely refreshed by the cleaner.
Patio doors needed replaced. Screen door kept falling off. Thermostat not working properly. Could not participate in resort activities.
Nice central location for exploring the usland with easy access to the resort pools and restaurants.

The property was good and clean. Just what we needed but slightly different than the impression we got from the pictures on VRBO.
We absolutely loved staying here! Can’t wait to come back. Property manager was very helpful!
The owner, Crystal was very responsive. Any question or concerns I had, she was very quick on responding. She also provided suggestions on activities around the island. Being our first time on this island, we had a wonderful stay in her property. I do like how it is conveniently located to stores and restaurant. Her unit was really a central location. I would definitely consider staying at this unit next time we are back on the island.

Very nice resort. Clean room.
Nice and centrally located. We looked around and it is perfectly everything…. It’s not too fancy and just a perfect combination of life. If your snobby then it’s not for you but if your a mid lifer then you will love it. We think it’s amazing and everything we needed.
Overall the property was nice. There were some small maintenance items that should be addressed by the property, but that is not the fault of this particular owner.
We check it in from a 6 hour flight to find out our room wasn’t cleaned. Towels everywhere and used condoms on the bed. Yuk. Don’t recommend this.
The unit and grounds were lovely, with hot tubs, pools, and secluded beaches. The room was very comfortable and it’s patio had a nice view of the pool areas. The listing did not include the $35/day parking fee information.
Amazing place and location
We enjoyed our stay but our wrist band would not work at the parking lot. We tried 3 different times. Last morning the smoke detector woke us up.
