Poipu Beach Athletic Club Pool Closure:
The Poipu Beach Athletic Club pool and pool deck will be temporarily closed beginning September 9, 2026, for approximately four weeks while improvements and resurfacing are completed. Reopening is anticipated in early October.
During the closure, guests can still enjoy the club’s fitness centers, cold plunges, sports courts, and family activities in the lower field, including lawn games, a bouncy house, and Water Slide Saturdays. The club will remain open daily from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

Start to finish, a wonderful place to stay.
The property title states steps from the beach and the map makes you believe it’s a condo that is very close to the beach. It is not. It’s the last building on the complex next to the highway. I tried contacting host and the person texted and told me they would get back to me immediately. They did not! Note, also that the pool is not on the condo complex. It’s on the other side of the road and the vibe is very much a child’s pool. Really not an ideal location for an adults traveling without children.
You could see the ocean but not the beach. Overall, very nice. I had expected a bit more space. We had very little space to put clothing/luggage.
The place was nice, wonderful amenities! Although the hot tub was out of order for our whole stay, but it’s okay we spent most of our time exploring the beautiful island anyway!

The location and view of the ocean was a great choice near poipu beach, a quick 4 minute walk to the beach. Minus one star for the fact that the building was under construction, with wet paint, pressure washing during the day and blocked entrances. Being close to the road meant there is some car noise at night. Otherwise a very pleasant older style unit.
Our stay was very good. We were told that we would get an Ocean View room but we were placed clear to the back of the buildings and there was no Ocean View.
Great location with nice amenities at the Athletic club and restaurants close by. Loved the high ceilings, large deck and AC. The property manager provided a lot of great recommendations for activities, clear check-in instructions, and concise information ahead of our trip. Will stay with KEM again in Poipu!
