ON THE OCEAN condominium "Turtle Haven" steps from the sea near Poipu with spectacular views. Swim, surf, snorkel, sunbath or just relax in a peaceful corner of Kauai Island. Dazzling views of the tropical Pacific Ocean welcome you as you step in the door. Your unit faces the ocean directly with nothing between you and the sea. Watch the whales, dolphins, and turtles from your lanai (balcony).
This unique condominium is flanked by Turtle Cove on one side and renowned Lawai Beach on the other. Lawai Beach offers can't-miss snorkeling with turtles and colorful tropical fish steps from your door as well as sunbathing, surfing, and swimming (SNUBA too!). We've seen octopuses and endangered monk seals there as well. Enjoy the outdoor shower tucked between tropical plants for Kuhio Shores guests before heading up to the unit to relax. On the inland side, find a piece of history at the sacred Prince Kuhio Park.
Your unit will be 30 feet (9 meters) from the water: open the windows and doors, feel the trade winds blow, smell the ocean, and listen to the crashing surf. Sip your coffee or tea on the lanai soothed by the sound of the waves and Pacific blue waters as far as you can see. Enjoy privacy over a coral reef and turtles surfing from this second floor unit #210 (with elevator close by): No other units can see into your space and no telephone means complete peace.
This condo offers 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and sleeps 6. Find a King bed in the master bedroom, a Queen bed in the second bedroom, and a Queen sofa bed in the living room. For those occasional days when it's a bit warm, AC throughout the unit will keep you comfortable.
With floor-to-ceiling and wall-to-wall windows, you will enjoy the sea from the living room, dining room, or lanai. Watch whales breach in the winter and turtles feeding directly in front of your balcony. Or scan surfers tackling the waves while an occasional snorkeler visits the turtle cleaning station below.
The kitchen offers granite counter tops and stainless appliances. The unit includes oven/stove, dishwasher, drip coffee maker, insulated stainless French press, electric kettle, microwave, and full refrigerator with freezer and ice maker. It's fully furnished with everything you need to cook in or enjoy a drink on the lanai, with a BBQ onsite for your use. Or visit one of the island's best restaurants and bars next door, The Beach House, only steps away.
Free cable and wireless internet are included and there is a smart flat-screen TV in the living area as well as a small desk. The easy-access parking lot allows one car per unit with a coin laundry on each floor of the building.
Both the master bath (with separate large walk-in shower---see photos) and the second hall bath (with twin sinks) have custom tile work. Unique art work on the walls conveys the Hawaiian spirit.
Take a stroll down the road to visit the National Tropical Botanical Garden and a natural geographic wonder, Spouting Horn blow hole. The upscale Shops at Kukui'ula are easy walking distance with many fine restaurants, ice cream, and shopping. Scuba diving and snorkeling at Koloa Landing is only 1/2 mile away (< 1km). The popular tourist area of Poipu is just a mile or two away, and the historic town of Koloa with grocery stores is likewise a 5 minute drive.

Incredibly beautiful view. Clean and comfortable. Fully stocked. Beach chairs were helpful. Loved the snorkeling right next to condo.
The condo had a spectacular view just as advertised. We were able to see many whales spouting and even a few breaching as well as a pod of dolphins swimming by. It was really nice to watch sitting out on the deck. The unit was clean and I loved the kitchen as it functioned really well. The best part aside from the view was how nice and cool it stayed with the AC on as that was very important for the 4 of us. I will say the place was a bit dated but still very comfortable. The location of it was great as it was just a short walk to an outdoor mall featuring many shops and great eating establishments. As well being right next to The Beach House restaurant and beach was definitely a plus! There were two things however that were a bit disappointing. The condo has all shutter type doors in it making it very difficult to keep the noise down while you are taking a shower etc. So having been sharing it with another couple was difficult because if you got up early it was impossible to keep quiet especially if others were trying to sleep. It would have been much better with solid doors for a sound barrier. The other issue was the deck. Although it was a nice size and comfortable it was full of dead small black flies stuck to the glass panes.It looked like they hadn't been cleaned in a long time. There were many of them flying around mostly in the morning but other than that it was fine. It was a very nice place to stay but I do recommend changing out the indoor doors to the rooms.
Stunning view from the lanai!! We loved watching sea turtles and schools of fish as the waves crested over the reef in the mornings. Wonderful location right next to the Beach House - beautiful sunsets!! It was in a convenient location between the blowhole and the sea turtle resting spot, and around the corner from shopping and dining. Condo had everything- beach towels, chairs, nice touches theoughout. Lots of seating and kitchen was great, kona coffee was yummy!Thanks for a beautiful stay, we hope to return year after year!

Nice condo located right on the ocean. Fantastic view of the ocean from the lanai. The condo is on the second floor, so it has a little better view than the ground-level condos. Saw a lot of whales spouting and breaching. Location was great - walking distance from many shops & restaurants. A nice little shopping area is a 10-minute walk. There were also snorklers and surfers in the immediate vicinity, as well. Condo was in good shape - seems very well maintained.
The location and view were great! Saw multiple sea turtles from the lanai daily and a beautiful view of sunset. We really enjoyed our stay!

Our family enjoyed watching the sea turtles, waves and surfers from the balcony of this beautifully decorated beach front unit. Star gazing was amazing. It was centrally located to all points of interest on the island. Anne and Olaf were quick to respond to requests. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. So close to Poipu beach! Condo was clean and had everything we needed, plus a lot of extras. The washer and dryer listed is coin operated outside the unit, so be aware of that. Great view, so many turtles, surfers, and body boarders to watch from the lanai. Easy parking and in and out with elevators. Very comfortable place!
Would stay again! No complaints. Best location for sightseeing and restaurants.
First time to Kauai & using VRBO Location was great close to several things, really enjoyed waterfront views! 4 adults and the space was perfect no complaints. Would stay again!
