spectacular ocean front studio condo, Magic sands, ideal view and location

The view was stunning & the location was perfect. Having the beach right next door along with the excellent restaurant & coffee shack made everything even more convenient. Plus Shave-Ice across the street! Highly recommended & we hope to be back!

Great view from room, watched sunset most nights. Loved the location, AC worked great. Host was easy to communicate and work with. Would stay here again.

The view and location are great. You really are on top of the water. The host was very responsive.The road is pretty noisy but the sound of the waves will drown it out once inside.The unit itself is OK- very average condition and could use some updating. There is no dishwasher in the kitchen. The screens to the back/outside were jammed when we were there which wasn't an issue because there is no balcony. The bed was way too soft for my wife and I. Decent value here for Hawaii.

We loved the location and the view. The kitchen was really well set up and we appreciated the coffee. On the downside, the kitchen wasn’t super clean when we came, dirty water bucket under the sink, and we did have some roaches.

You are paying for the view and sound of the waves

Cannot get any closer to the ocean! i obstructive view! Breath taking!! Studio condo that was everything we needed! Full kitchen for cooking or simply take a stroll to go eat at nearby restaurant/food trucks or a short drive to town. AC offered if gets a little too warm, but the ocean breeze and sound is what we came for! Pool on site, or located adjacent to Magic Beach on one side and great park area on the other!

Great views and location to the Magic Sands Beach. Host was extremely prompt on responses. Would stay here again.

Great location next to Magic Sands Beach (aka disappearing sands beach, so there may or may not be an abundance of sand on the beach).This is a prime location in Kona, one mile south of the best simple snorkel spot in Kona, right on Magic beach and about 3 miles from the bay.Magics Beach Grill offers great food and you can stay close to home or make daytrips up and down the coast from this central location.Don't miss Cook's Bounty farm stand in Captain Cook 15 minutes away. Groceries and pharmacy easy access at plaza 7 minutes south (easier than going to town for quick needs). Highly recommend this spot and the rental was as advertised.

We had a slight hiccup with the cleaning of the condo, however, Sage made things right for us. The condo is comfortable and roomy for a studio and the view of the ocean is spectacular. The condo is well-appointed with everything you need. The proximity to Magic Sands Beach and Kailua-Kona town make it a convenient spot.

They are not kidding that it is ocean front! RIGHT over the water. Which was amazing and kept us up one of the nights because the waves were so loud. So crazy! The place is very cute. I think removing that popcorn ceiling would go a long way. Very clean. The hot water in the shower is not that hot. It was fine, but I like hot showers and this was not that. The restaurant in that building is a gem, far better than anything we ate at in Kona so check that out. Thanks for a nice stay.

The view, it’s was very relaxing and breathtaking. The condo was clean, and the location was over all pretty nice. Most definately would love to book there again!

Overall, we felt this place was rather shabby and way over priced. After the added VRBO and cleaning fees, the price was 378 a night. There is no elevator, so everything had to be carried up three flights of outdoor steps. The bathroom sink drain was slow, the shower is tiny, the bathroom screen allows tiny gnats through, so there are always bugs in the bathroom. There is no balcony. Magic Sands beach is rocks. We appreciated the beach chairs and towels. For a lower price, this place would be ok.

The property opens up directly on the ocean with a full view. The condo is well apportioned and right in Magic Sands beach. Bring your binoculars to watch whales.

We had a wonderful stay. The home had everything we needed. Daily whale watching. The onsite restaurant was a nice treat. Even though there was construction going on, the workers were very considerate. Homeowner, Sage was always available when a question arose.

This property offers a peaceful place to enjoy the majesty of the ocean, sunsets and Hawaiian beauty. The unit is clean, well-appointed and easy to find. The host was available, helpful and very communicative. This was a terrific stay and we will be back. A true favorite.

Easy access to a great, sandy beach and spectacular view of the ocean from the room. I will say the view from the room is a little bit affected by the residual of some old window treatments, but if you open the windows there it is. The host was very responsive to questions via text. The overall property itself is on the older-side and shows a little bit of wear, such as the pool area, but it is still comfortable and in a great location if you are coming to Hawaii for a beach and those lovely ocean sunsets.

The best part about the stay was that the property management is so courteous and replied quickly to all my correspondence. She also was kind to accommodate with an early check in but ended up getting to Kona late. Also, if we needed to extend, she was very helpful on working it out. The Condo is older than many oceanside, but they have a restaurant attached that made it really convenient with a late-night check in...There are lots of nice amenities I had no idea was available in the condo. Presentation was clean and the bed was so comfy. We weren't in the room except at sunset to early morning so being on the ocean the sea must make it hard to keep windows clean. Something is up with the sofa, but we didn't need to use, so no prob. Not sure about the pool. Overall we were grateful for a quiet comfortable stay, Mahalo!

Great location right by the beach with gorgeous views from the room and beautiful sunsets. Good spot to explore all parts of the Kona side of the island from. Only down side was the tiny water heater. We had to learn to take a 3-4 min shower each before the hot water ran out but certainly not a deal breaker.

My wife and I have been visiting Kona once or twice a year for many years and for the past six years, we've brought our child who has really taken a liking to Magic Sands Beach. We usually stay right in downtown Kona, but this time we decided to try a place closer to Magic Sands—and we weren't disappointed! The area was quieter and having the ocean waves crashing right outside was spectacular, especially with the stunning sunset views. With Magic’s Beach Grill/Shack nearby offering coffee and light breakfasts each morning, we were well-prepared for our days. Waking up, grabbing a coffee and a quick bite, and then walking over to the beach was incredibly convenient. As light travelers, the layout of the condo suited us well; my wife and I slept on the bed and our child used the fold-out sofa bed, with plenty of room for all. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this unit if you’re looking for a comfortable oceanside stay.

Condo has a great view of the ocean, literally just outside the door. All the accommodations you need and comfortable bed and really nice smart TV. Owner was very responsive to our needs and extremely personable.

so close to the waves! next to Magic Sand beach for boogie boarding and close to Kahalu’u for snorkling. beach stuff (chairs, snorkel stuff, boogie board), good towels, well equipped kitchen, good AC, laundry, great pool, nice set up!
