At this Kuhio Shores home, the water's edge is about 10 steps away, so the sound and sight of breaking surf become part of every meal. The two-bedroom, two-bath condo sleeps four and opens into a large living area where the kitchen, dining space, and windows keep the Pacific in view. Partial air conditioning and a washer and dryer add welcome comfort after the beach. Lawai Beach sits beside the property, and Poipu Beach Park and Brennecke's Beach are close for a more traditional sand-and-swim day. Surfing and diving are nearby when the group wants an active outing, while Kukui'ula is handy for provisions and dinner. It works beautifully for a family or two couples who want their Kauai stay to begin at the shoreline, not across a parking lot.
The Space:
Two sets of sliding doors and a wall of windows bring the ocean into the kitchen, dining area, living room, and main bedroom. The 1,059-square-foot plan has two bedrooms, two baths, and room for four. The full kitchen includes stainless steel appliances and granite counters. Partial air conditioning and a washer and dryer support longer beach days, while the open layout keeps the group connected.
Guest Access:
Guests at Kuhio Shores enjoy access to the oceanfront communal pool, hot tub, and fitness center, plus lush garden grounds throughout the complex. An elevator and disabled parking spot make getting around easy, and the beachfront setting puts sand and surf just steps from your lanai. Accessible-height beds and toilets are available for added comfort.
The Neighborhood:
Poipu's South Shore is known for sunny weather, beaches, and easy access to ocean activities. Lawai Beach is immediately beside Kuhio Shores, with surfing and diving in the area, while Poipu Beach Park and Brennecke's Beach are close when the day calls for broad sand and swimming. Head toward Kukui'ula for restaurants and groceries after the beach. This location gives families and two-couple groups an unusually close relationship with the water while keeping practical stops nearby.
Getting Around:
Lihue Airport is about 30 to 40 minutes away, a pretty drive across Kauai's south shore. A rental car is recommended to reach Poipu's beaches, Koloa town's shops, and nearby dining with ease. Old Koloa Town is walkable for boutiques and restaurants, while beautiful beaches are just a short drive away. Parking is generally available on site or in small lots around town.

**Please be advised that the exterior spalling project is underway and may affect guests staying in the impacted units.
Project Schedule
Duration: First week of August through the end of September.
Work began on August 3 with the 09 stack (Units 109, 209, 309, and 409) and will continue sequentially through the 19 stack (Units 119, 219, 319, and 419).
If the project progresses ahead of schedule, work may also begin on the Bayside stacks (Units 101–108), including:
01 stack: Units 101, 201, 301, and 401
Through 08 stack: Units 108, 208, 308, and 408
During construction, guests may experience:
• Construction noise during daytime working hours (8am - 4pm)
• Dust and debris associated with exterior concrete repairs.
While every effort will be made to minimize disruptions, construction schedules may change due to weather or project progress.

This place was amazing. The host quickly answered our questions before we arrived so we knew exactly what was going to be provided and what we would need to bring along. The condo was very clean and the grounds were very well kept! We enjoyed our stay and the beauitful view with a great location to explore the island. The condo was exactly like the photos! Beautiful stay, gorgeous views, would highly recomend!!!!
The condo needs some attention. The slats in the windows in the bedroom slip and close. There is a screen covering one of the windows & is falling out. All easy fixes. There is a light in ceiling by washer/dryer that is burned out and a light under cabinets needs replacing.
Unit was clean and as described. Lovely views, quiet area and perfect for a relaxing trip. Unit is well appointed and relaxing on 4th floor balcony provided amazing sunrise & sunset views. No direct beach access as it is on the rocks. Baby beach is very easy 3-5 minute walk. The location is quiet and ideal, away from people, buildings and businesses of Poipu beach. There is a shopping center very close. Only recommendation would be more comfortable and relaxing balcony furniture.

We absolutely loved staying at this property! It was comfortable and the view was lovely. The only downside was the small hot water heater meant our family had to stagger our showers out so we would all have hot water, but that isn't difficult to do. None of us were ready to leave, and I hope we have the opportunity to come back again one day.
We had a wonderful time in Kauai. The condo is perfectly located and well appointed. We watched the surfers and turtles right from the balcony! We had to contact staff one time and they responded at 5 am and had the issue resolved quickly. Can say enough good things! Maholo
Could not have asked for a better location. We will miss the view: catching sight of turtles while having dinner, seeing the surfers wipe out, and of course, the gorgeous sunsets. My only minor gripe would be to have an actual human being we could talk to when we have questions. iI sounded like the Vacasa management group was responding with AI, and they gave us incorrect information about the property amenities.
Could not have asked for a better location. I will miss the view. Everything was smooth and comfortable. Thanks for a wonderful stay.
Relaxing, beautiful, beachy decor. Plenty of seating, great beds, palm/pineapple carvings on chairs/beds, every need met in kitchen and bath, beach chairs, sand toys, beach towels all available (some in chest on lanai).Wanted to just be there. Area is beautiful water, waves, volcanic rock, and sand. Great location for Waimea Canyon and Allerton Gardens.

Gorgeous, oceanfront condo.
Loved the location and right on the water. We saw turtles, surfers, whales and beautiful sunsets. Enjoyed the Old town Kaloa and shopping centers.
Pros: located directly overlooking the beach. Comfortable bed. Good quality sheets and towels. Very quiet and clean.Cons: The master bathroom is a niche in the wall of the bedroom. Shower opens directly into the room. Sink/commode combo is tiny. Barely room to turn around. Bed has huge 4 posters and nearly fill the space. Night time potty includes hitting your head.The kitchen island is too close to the sink, and the fridge door opens in the opposite direction. You have to exit the opposite end, walk around the island in order to open the fridge.The place is crying for a new coat of paint and and refresh. Don’t let this stop you. The pros outweigh the cons.
Left macadamia nuts in cabinet above refrigerator. Vcasa would not contact the owner so that the building super could get them. These items cost me over $100. The incompetence of the Vacasa staff is beyond measure. I will never book anything with them again. I think Vrbo should do the same. Once Vacasa has your money they could care less if you have any problems.
This condo had it all! Views, comfort, AC, awesome kitchen, great location to beaches and restaurants.
