This condo is outstanding. Being on the second floor and situated practically on top of the water creates an immersive experience that photos don’t do justice. The views are absolutely stunning and spectacular. It was hard to pull ourselves away from the balcony. The condo fit our family of four quite comfortably(2 tweens), but probably not suitable for four adults.The amenities were terrific and the grounds were maintained with meticulous care. On top of that, the communication from the hosts was an 11 out of 10; they were proactive, helpful, and incredibly responsive. The check-in and check-out process was completely seamless. For anyone seeking a great location with world-class views and professional management, this place is a winner. We cannot recommend it enough!

We have stayed at this resort several times, but it was our first time at this unit. It's ocean-front location is ideal. We could watch for whales and watch the sunset from our lanai. The kitchen was well stocked. Appliances seemed to be fairly new. Since we stayed in Feb - March, we did not use the air condiditoning. We did make use of the beach chairs and cooler. The pools and hot tubs were never overcrowded. I hope we will be back some day.

Beautiful, quiet grounds with the perfect location! We were right on the ocean very close to 2 mile beach. Host checked with us a couple times to inquire about our stay.

Very windy when there. Waves very loud unable to sleep with slider door open. Not too loud to dine outside on deck.

This was a great stay overall. Communication, amenities and location are top notch.

This is our 6th trip to Maui and our 2nd time staying in this resort. We absolutely love all the amenities, location and everything this place has to offer! We will definitely be back!

Another wonderful stay at Papakea!

The property manager did not know we were coming, the property owners had charged my credit card but failed to inform the property managers, it took almost two hours to get this sorted out!, unacceptable! Furthermore, the condo only has a small split unit AC, to small to cool the condo, but the owner has stated in the condo book how to help cooling the condo with fans. It is 2024, high priced three weeks stay, every day in the high 80ties or 90ties and we had to endure a hot condo environment with several power failures. On arrival, the bathroom sink was totally plugged and not usable, the toilet was partially plugge but owner had provided a plunger for toilet and sink. I contacte the owner with theses issues and he recommended using the plungers!! We have been to the Hawaiian islands ten times now over the years, staying in hotels, for longer stays in condos and never experienced anything like this before. My recommendation to VRBO is to remove this owner from the condo listings. I will continue to use VRBO since the real issue here is the condo owner.

Our stay was fantastic! The condo is perfect.

We made a deal with our son that he could either have a high school graduation party or a family trip, and he chose the family trip (win-win!). Little did we know he’d pick Maui! My husband, two teenage boys (15 & 17) and I stayed at this condo for 7 nights. We arrived in the dark, so it was so fun waking up to the awesome view from the lanai. Everything was very clean upon arrival, and the check-in process was smooth, both with Maui Paradise Properties and Papakea Resort. We anticipated the kitchen being fully stocked, so we made a plan to order groceries from Walmart for pickup right after our flight. If fancy dining is your thing, there were plenty of options nearby, but there’s also a food truck court a block away. And several little grocery stores are within a 2-3 block walk. If saving money on food by preparing it yourself is more your thing, check out those nearby grocery stores/markets/gas stations. The prices aren’t as outrageous as social media makes it seem, and the kitchen has everything you’d need. The view could not have been any better. There were so many whales passing by and several sea turtles too, and the sunsets were front and center, right from your lanai. The king bed was great and the boys slept great on the newer queen sofa bed. The unit had beach towels, chairs, a cooler and even an umbrella. The grounds were beautifully cared for too. Finally, it’s a simple thing, but the water pressure in the shower was fantastic! Don’t hesitate to book here!

We loved the grounds of Papakea and enjoyed the pickleball and tennis courts, pool and large outdoor eating areas for our group traveling together. The unit needed at least one more comfy place to sit. One couch and a couple of hard back wooden chairs felt inadequate.

If you’re looking for an oceanfront condo that is modern, clean, and in a great location, then this is your place! The condo itself is spacious and well-equipped with all of your needs. It was sparkling clean when we arrived and it made us feel completely right at home. My family and I appreciated the air conditioner during the warm days/nights and also the washer/dryer which helped us pack light. Sunrises and sunsets from your private balcony or from the property's lawn are simply amazing. Papakea Resort's grounds are beautiful and well maintained. There's also many activities to choose from -- swimming in one of the two lovely pools, shuffleboard, tennis/pickle ball, and even putting greens. My family and I absolutely enjoyed our stay and can't wait to go back soon....for longer next time!

Loved the condo. Exactly as described. Convenient to Lahaina. Only 15 min drive to Honolua Bay for snorkeling. Also super convenient to Black Rock beach for snorkeling. The condo was great! Would come back for sure!
