Maui Ocean Center is within walking distance, as are shops, restaurants, and convenience stores. Mini golf, bumper boats, and other family fun at Maui Golf & Sports Park are also nearby, while snorkel, whale-watch, fishing, and dinner cruises leave from the harbor. Come back to A/C, a full kitchen, and the sound of the coast. Please note that this condo has no designated parking space; free street parking is available nearby. It is a well-placed Maui stay for a family or group that likes to keep moving.
The Space:
This 878-square-foot condo has two bedrooms, two baths, and room for up to six, with a private balcony that naturally becomes the place for coffee or a slow evening. A/C, a dishwasher, cable, and free WiFi keep the basics comfortable, while a DVD library and stereo make movie nights easy. The kitchen is ready for meals at home after a beach or harbor day.
Guest Access:
Guests at Maalaea Kai enjoy access to the oceanfront communal pool, with an elevator and disabled parking spot for easy access around the property. The beachfront setting overlooks Maalaea Bay, and a garden area plus outdoor seating make it easy to relax outside. Mountain and ocean views round out this convenient central Maui base.
The Neighborhood:
Ma'alaea is Maui's small harbor community, a quieter central-coast base between Kihei and West Maui. Ma'alaea Harbor is close for snorkel sails, fishing charters, and winter whale watching, and the Maui Ocean Center is nearby for a family afternoon. Haycraft Park starts a long, open stretch of sand for a walk by the water. It is a practical place to stay when you want the ocean close and both sides of the island within easy reach by car.
Getting Around:
Maalaea is about 15 to 20 minutes from Kahului Airport, depending on traffic. A rental car is recommended for reaching beaches, shopping, and dining around Maui, though Maalaea Harbor and the Maui Ocean Center are a short drive away. Parking is generally available on site or nearby.

Beautiful view!!
The view is amazing
We loved how centralized it was to everything. Easy to get to and amazing views.
Oceanfront view! Comfy condo with everything needed in the kitchen. Good wifi and lots of towels and soaps provided. The lawn is immaculate and lounging on it is great. We watched the whales and turtles from the lawn. Nice clean and warm swimming pool, too.
Complex and Location are top notch. the unit itself is not exactly luxurious, needed to call for a couple maintenance/repairs, but generally adequate for our needs. It was well-equipped except for cleaning supplies which we could have really used with our month-long stay. note that unit has no parking place and laundry is communal coin-op - but the laundry room was close

Nice location between KEHEI and LAHINA . Great views, nice property amenities. We were sad we only stayed one night. Hide a bed comfortable.
Our stay was very pleasant, location was ideal. View was so beautiful ❤️ The area was a bit windy at the location. Love the gadget that came with the home, From rice cooker, crockpot, blender two coffee machines and ninja blender. Feels like home. Everything you needed is right at home. I would say the only thing was the parking area. No designated parking for the guest. We have to parked by the streets. Which was fine with us.
Absolutely loved the cozy feel of the condo. The views were spectacular & everyone was so nice. The staff was very accommodating as well!
This place was amazing! We have stayed at quite a few short term rentals over the years and sometimes the pictures make it look better than reality--not so here! The views are spectacular! When we first arrived, we couldn't pull ourselves off of the lanai for the first day. Eating breakfast each morning with these views was unforgettable. We were hoping for three things--a beautiful ocean view, a quiet, off the beaten path location, and easy access to explore the island. This had everything. The apartment itself was pristine and appears to have been beautifully remodeled. Although there wasn't a reserved parking spot, we did always find some nearby street parking. By the time we were leaving, we were daydreaming of having a place like this of our own someday :-) This will definitely be the first place we look up if we make it back to Maui again!

The condo was in a perfect central location to explore the island. It was also quiet with a beautiful view of Haleakala.
The place is super clean, everything’s organize, they have even guitars and beach stuff. They will communicate to you professionally. I highly recommend this place.
Nice property at Maui. Size is adequate for families with two bedrooms and each have a dedicated bathroom. Kitchen amenities such as coffee maker toaster utensils and supplies such as dishwasher fluid and washer pods and beach items present such as towels and boogie boards. Everything is clean. Would love to have newer sofa though. Location is perfect as it is by the harbor. Overall great value for this wonderfully maintained property
