Oceanfront Home with Pool ‘The Cove at Milolii'

Great stay. No A/C. House is beginning to show wear. Could have used a pool cleaning.

We really enjoyed our stay at this property! Lots of space for us to come together as a family, or have time to ourselves. The view was amazing. MANY gorgeous sunsets viewed right from the lanai! The kitchen was nicely appointed with everything we needed to make meals at the house. The pool was lovely and the bedrooms were nicely sized as well. Being from the Midwest where A/C is not option after May, I was a bit nervous about no A/C in the house (which I understand is very common in Hawaii homes), but we didn't have a temp problem at all. Between all of the outdoor space, lanai doors and windows we were able to maximize the ocean breeze. There were also numerous vans in the bedrooms that we were able to use to keep things cool. Fair warning, it is quite a drive to Ali'i drive and the more central hub of Kona (about 1 hours and 15 mins). The host was VERY open about this before we even booked, so we knew this going in, but something to consider if you are looking for something a little closer to all of the action. The road to the property is a little scary at night with no street lights and a very curvy road, but if you're slow and take your time you get used to. Overall a really beautiful place to stay during our amazing vacation! Thank you for hosting us!

This is a beautiful and welcoming property inside and out and was equipped with a large variety of games to keep us occupied. The hot tub is perfect for viewing the stars at night and the covered patio has a large table for outside dining and games. It’s the perfect place to relax and recharge.

Phenomenal coastal property with beautiful sunsets and all day sun! Quiet secluded location allowing for great family time! Great access to coffee tours, the volcano national park, black sand and green sand beaches.

Beautiful, relaxing property in a quiet neighborhood. Secluded area with gorgeous ocean views and a lot of space to spread out and feel like you’re at your own resort with a private pool and spa. Responsive owners addressed any questions or concerns right away.

Our March 2026 stay was memorable, to say the least! We arrived during the historic Kona Low storm, and while it turned into a survival adventure, none of this was the fault of the house or owners. Melanie and Craig were fantastic communicators throughout the chaos.We lost power for 48 hours, which also cut water pressure to sinks and showers within 18 hours. Since the house lacked emergency lighting, we drove to Target for candles and power packs, ultimately playing Uno by the light of a solar garden lamp! The house has beautiful ceiling screens for ocean breezes, but hurricane-force winds meant it actually rained inside. A power surge also broke the hot tub heater, leaving the water freezing. We just had to laugh at our luck!

Our stay at Milolii was perfectly wonderful. Exactly as advertised, relaxed comfort and amazing view. The home was well stocked and equipped with everything needed. We especially enjoyed the hot tub and looking over the cove to the gorgeous Pacific. Most of our days were spent site seeing but having Milolii to return each evening made each day that much more special. Thank you for a glorious time on the Big Island. Hope to return some day!

From the peaceful tranquility, the view (oh the sunsets), the dolphins and turtles, the pool and hot tub, the kitchen, the games, the comfortable beds. Everything was just as expected. Great for an adult get away. Fantastic location! Only adjustment was no air conditioning, but the steady breezes helped so much. Hosts were very helpful and easy to work with and were very understanding with the late flight going out on our last day. House was clean and so was the pool and hot tub. Would recommend to anyone traveling to the Big Island:)

I usually stay at Mauna Kea or Four Seasons and have rented homes all over the world. This home is the best I’ve been in. The location is breathtaking every minute of the day. There’s very little it doesn’t have besides fresh food and people who cook will find just about anything you’d need to make a great meal for many. I can’t wait to return!

We loved our stay at the Cove! The pool and hot tub were amazing. The drive to and from the house is an experience of its own. Just plan on lots of driving if you stay here. About an hour to just about anything.

If you are looking for something away from the hustle and bustle, this is the place to be. This is a beautiful property with great amenities. Being further south was really great for visiting all of the locations that are too far from Kona proper. Volcanoes National Park, Pualu’u black sand beach, South Point and Kula Kai Caverns are all fairly close. The road down to the house is quite twisty, but beautiful. Melanie and Craig were fantastic hosts. Highly recommend!

Me and my family had a wonderful stay. Home is well equipped for any occasion. Communication with the host was great. House was exactly as pictured, clean, with comfortable beds. We truly loved our experience here and can’t wait to come back!

The pictures do not do this place justice. We had plenty of room and loved the breezes that blowed through the home. They provided everything we could have possibly needed. Thank you and we hope to come back here. I would live here if possible, we loved it that much. Just a heads up to everyone the pool water was cold, its heated only by the sun and for me my body can't handle that but my kid played in it some.

We arrived at the home after wonderful communication with the hosts. What an amazing place and stocked with everything we could possibly want. Kitchen had spices and dishes for all our cooking needs. The outside pool area was full of games and family activities. Ping pong, ladder ball, bowling,. Large library of books and the TV had multiple streaming options. This vacation home had something for everyone. We highly recommend and look forward to returning.

Our stay was excellent. Perfect view of the sunsets with the sounds of the ocean splashing against the rocks. Nice breezes when the windows and doors are open, just make sure the ceiling fans are going the right direction, easy to hit the wrong button on the remote in the dark. The hosts responded quickly to any questions we had and we appreciated that they were able to accommodate a late checkout for us. Be sure to check out all of the storage boxes and shed, you'll find pretty much everything you need for a day at the beach. The kids loved the saltwater pool

This was our second time staying at this house and it felt like coming home. The entire house is well stocked, comfortable and welcoming. Be sure to stock up on groceries before you drive down and enjoy your own private paradise you'll never want to leave.

The view was breathtaking and the hosts were highly responsive. There were five of us in our party and everyone had their own space. The views from the porch and downstairs outdoor area were incredible and the hosts had everything we needed their and ready.

The view was absolutely incredible! The owners were friendly and accommodating! By far the best trip and staying experience we have ever had!

Great view! Staying right on the lava rock coast was great. The waves were peaceful. The 2 spots at the end of the roads were great to walk to for snorkeling at one and sight seeing at the other. The personal pool and spa tub was wonderful! Craig was helpful to us with a wifi issue and tips on what to do. We did have some roaches and millipedes so keep your stuff off the ground. No AC as the house is open concept (with screens) but the breeze was great to stay cool. The drive is very curvy from the main road to the house. Takes about 15 minutes. Worth the drive but important to know if leaving to explore each day. Would definitely recommend.

If you are looking for a magnificent and quiet location, do not look any further, this is it! We absolutely loved everything about it. Stunning views above and under water. The house has everything you need and even more. Conveniently located between Kona and the National Park, and pretty close to a lot of great beaches and coves. Melanie and Craig were extremely welcoming, super responsive, and communicative about the kinda “remote” location of their property. We will be back!

This vacation was truly AMAZING! The home is GORGEOUS! The property is STUNNING! The views are BREATHTAKING! My `ohana relaxed and spent quality time together, away from the demands of work and school. We made beautiful memories and explored the south end of the island. Everything in the house is perfect. The house is spacious; the kitchen is well stocked; the patio games are entertaining; the pool is relaxing. Walking and fishing on the shoreline was thrilling. The water in the cove is clear, and you can see the colorful fish below. There was always a cool breeze blowing through the house. There is an abundance of board games, puzzles, and books. My favorite part was sitting on the blue lounge chair in the pool, under the umbrella, reading a book. My hubby's favorite part was hearing the waves crashing on the rocky shoreline at night and fishing. Our teen's favorite part was the pool. Mahalo for having us, and we look forward to our next stay!

We stayed here for 5 nights and it had everything we could have needed. Dolphins and whales were a bonus! The hot tub was amazing and the house was so breezy and comfortable. We loved it!

What an amazing home! We truly enjoyed our stay as we soaked in the sunshine by the pool, watched sunsets on the lanai, and listened to the crashing ocean waves. It is well worth the drive down the hill. True paradise! The home was clean and well appointed and we would definitely love to return! Thank you Melanie and Craig for sharing your home with us!

Wow, the property is beautifully located at the oceans edge with amazing views to enjoy. The house has a fully stocked kitchen and all kinds of activities ping pong, yard games a large cabinet of board games. It’s a lovely neighborhood for a morning walk. We recommend 5⭐️

Our family had a wonderful time enjoying the island of Hawaii! Being able to stay at Melanie and Craig’s residence was an added bonus. The outdoor space along with the beautiful infinity pool overlooking the ocean was one of my favorite things about the house. The sunsets were truly amazing. Definitely worth waiting for either in the pool or the lanai! As mentioned by others the road to get to the place has lots of turns, but there’s fruit stands along the way! The neighborhood was quiet and our family enjoyed morning walks in the area.
