Melodee was terrific!!!

This condo was at least as good as advertised. The ocean view was beyond amazing. We saw sea turtles every day while we ate breakfast on the balcony.We plan to come back to Kauai someday and when we do, we hope to stay here again. The location of this condo was perfect! My wife fell in love with this condo.Finally, the owners were very responsive to all of our messages and they were very friendly.

We had a great time in this condo. Everyday when we woke up, we would eat breakfast on the balcony and watch turtles swimming! They were pretty cute. Great access to nearby beaches and the pool. Appreciated the beach towels, boogie board and chairs. AC was very helpful. Great access to Netflix and Disney Plus for after the sun went down. Loved it! Highly recommend

Check in/out was easy and owner communicated with us before arrival which was appreciated. Location was great. If you are looking to rent, just know that the condo is old and furnishings tired/worn. Not a great value for the money paid.

This property is so amazing. Wild to say but the pictures don’t even do it justice. Great little neighborhood with easy beach access / dining within a half mile or so. Plenty of turtles and saw some Rays out in the water too!

The inside was a bit tight but the lanai and the view made up for it! Turtles upon turtles just swimming right below! Could have sat and watched all day!

Amazing property!!! The views off the balcony can’t be beat. You can see sea turtles all day. The location of this property is great. Minutes from the beach, shopping, and restaurants. We loved Poipu beach and see the turtles and monk seals. Communication was awesome with the owner and check in and check out was seamless. Great property!

The views are incomparable. However, while described as "not a luxury stay", the unit is priced higher than similar units we saw at the complex with updated furnishings and a higher cleaning standard. The mattress was extremely uncomfortable and needs replaced. Kitchen appliances and tools for food prep are in need of updating and refreshing. The owner's communication was excellent and it's clear she is a very responsible host.

So many great restaurants in the area! It was so easy to get to all the attractions from this property.

Great location on top of the ocean and turtles. Nice relaxing pool and easy access to Poipu Beach. AC was great addition after a day in the sun and surf. Well appointed kitchen and gas grill right outside made it easy to cook our own dinners. In-unit laundry also made our packing list very small.

Phenomenal location and sweeping views. We saw turtles, whales and dolphins from the beautiful lanai. Comfortable bed, clean and well appointed. Lots to do! Walking distance to restaurants. Short drive to local beaches to see the turtles rest. Nothing like returning from the beach to more ocean views! Book your stay here!

Great location!

My husband & I have stayed at many VRBOs across the country. Melodee’s place was exactly as described. It’s so nice to have an owner that will answer emails & questions immediately! As everyone has said, the views are amazing. Watching the turtles up close and the whales in the distance was a fantastic way to spend free time. (Melodee even has binoculars for you to use)Another added bonus was all of the beach gear she provided. Chairs, umbrella, beach towels & a cooler with ice packs made beach going so much easier. The furniture could use some updating, but everything else was perfect!

It doesn’t get any closer to the ocean. Roaring surf, abundant sea life, beautiful sunsets and ready access to beaches. The unit is small, well-appointed and very clean. The kitchen is well stocked with the necessary tools to cook a meal. A washer and dryer made our stay and our return home much easier. We booked another week for next year. ‘Nut said!

I have stayed at several other condos in this complex in the past. This one is really special. The ground level access is super easy from the parking lot, which was handy with my parents recently entering their '80s.Once you walk in, the view immediately hits you, and it is SPECTACULAR. It is nothing but ocean in front of you. You hear it at the same moment you see it, and the steady crashing of waves against the rocks is perhaps my favorite thing about Kauai. We saw numerous humpback whales, sea turtles and even a monk seal in the water right in front of the Lanai. On clear days, we could not look out at the ocean for one minute without seeing sea life. Amazing. What a blessing to be able to experience a stay at this place.It was walking distance to Brennecke's, even for my 80-year-old mom with a 2-month-old new knee. Granted, she is no standard octogenarian lol. We were easily able to explore Hanapepe, the Waimea Canyon, Napali Coast, and more from this location.To top it all off, the hosts were incredible. Communication from start to finish was simple and direct, and I never felt like there was any chance that anything was being missed. It is clear that they know what they're doing, and this is a professionally run property with an unbeatable location and view. I recommended it to a couple that sat next to me on the plane on the way back to Oregon. I have little doubt they will be booking it. Thank you Melodee and Mike for an unforgettable week in Hawaii.

10 year anniversary trip, winter get away

Condo was cozy. Good location, pretty view. Loved that we could open the windows at night and hear the ocean from the bedroom. It would be nice to have towel racks in the bathroom, no place to hold towels to dry. Bathrooms are small, no counter space for personal items.

Wonderful property very cozy and exactly as described. You can get any closer to the ocean without a swimsuit.

We were very happy with the condo. It wasn't as large or updated as some we've stayed in but it was very comfortable. The location was amazing and we will stay there again for that reason. You're practically right over the water and can hear the waves crashing even with the windows closed. Being able to see sea turtles all the time was amazing and I saw dolphins a couple times. Having the pool right over the rocks and waves was an added bonus. Melodee and Michael were great about communication! We will definitely go back!

We really enjoyed drinking coffee on the lenai and watching the sea turtles. It is a beautiful condo with a convenient walk to the local beach.

The views, the turtles, the pool, and excellent location. Apartment was very well stocked. Bed was very comfortable and the cherry on top was the bidet in both bathrooms! W

We loved our stay here. The view from the balcony is amazing. Turtles every day all day right outside the door. The pool is very nice and clean. Poipu beach is truly within walking distance of the condo. The condo has adequate supplies for cooking for a family of 4. We also enjoyed the bbq. The condo was very clean when we arrived and appears well taken care of by the owners. We would rent here again, no questions asked.

When looking at pictures on-line it is easy to wonder if you are seeing an accurate representation of the property. Here, the pictures do not do it justice. The view from the balcony is simply gorgeous. The condo is located in the heart of Poipu and provides easy access to anywhere you want to go on Kauai. We had a wonderful experience.

We really enjoyed this place. Description is accurate. The location and views are phenomenal. You can walk to Brenneck’s beach and Poipu beach see turtles emerging from the sea to rest on the beach at sunset and monk seals resting on the shore. Quick drive to Kaloa for funky eats and shops and even closer to a couple of market places with restaurants and shops. Sitting on the deck at the place and watching an abundance of turtles swimming around is so cool. Host was very responsive and was even able to accommodate a late checkout which was much appreciated! Highly recommend!

Wonderful waterfront unit, within easy walking distance of Poipu Beach. Very clean, modern, and comfortable place. Communications with Melodee was always very quick. We will definitely want to stay there again!

It is a great location, easy walking to Poipu Beach Park! Amazing views off the deck and everything was very comfortable… Beds, etc. Melodee was lovely to deal with and always responded quickly! The only hardship was it is hard to pull yourself away from the lanai! There’s always something beautiful to see! Turtles all day long, we saw dolphins, rainbows, palm trees swaying in the breeze, a mixture of amazing colors in the ocean. You could not peel your eyes away! 100% recommend.

The views from Mike & Melodee’s place are absolutely breath taking. We enjoyed watching the turtles ride the waves and walking down to Brennicke’s for a bite to eat & a cocktail. Hanging out at the pool & the beach also within walking distance where you may see turtles napping and or a seal. Perfect location, so close to shopping and all kinds of restaurants. We made breakfast every day at the condo, the kitchen has all you need to cook if you decide to do so. Highly recommend this beautiful condo!

The title we picked is the same as the owners, and we felt it captured the unit. This unit is small, but had everything we needed. And frankly, sitting on the deck to relax, eat, read were what we enjoyed most. The ambience of the condo with the proximity to the ocean is what makes this place so special. Do not hesitate to pick this condo for a great vacation!

You couldn't be any closer to the ocean without being in it! I'm a grown-up so I didn't spit from the balcony, but if I did I could have made it to the water. Like others, we enjoyed watching the turtles from the balcony, listening to the waves crash (audible throughout the entire unit) and the short waterfront walk to Poipu Beach and Brennekes (sp?) restaurant and deli. Personally, having two bedrooms a kitchen and everything that you don't get in a hotel is a no brainer.

We stayed nine nights here and the best part was seeing turtles just below us, spinner dolphins and humpback whales every day. The condo was well stocked and comfortable. The parking at the resort was very challenging; very tight spots and not reserved.

We loved staying here. To be completely honest, the unit is pretty small. We have two teenagers and the space definitely felt small at times. However, the size of the unit was worth it because of the location. We spent so much time out on the balcony, just watching the turtles in the cove down below, and we saw lots of whale spouts out on the ocean. Several small showers came through and there were always rainbows afterward. It was magical. The pool was nice and warm and we loved spending afternoons there, and we also loved walking to Brennecke's Beach and Poipu Beach every day, body surfing and seeing the turtles and seals on the beach. The beds weren't the best, with pieces of foam on top of each of the mattresses, but the condo was very clean and cozy.

Loved the view & proximity to the beach . Mattresses need replacing. Cramped unit was uncomfortable. The deck views were fabulous.

I brought my adult children who had not been there in 15 years. The location was amazing. A quick walk to a very safe and swimmable beach. Opening the kitchen door, we would look down to the cove below and count the turtles, while watching the whales breach out towards the horizon . It was a fabulous trip, and the property was wonderful.

Wonderful location, east access to beach, food, shopping.

This property was excellent from top to bottom, the host has clearly put lots of effort and touches onto the home. All appliances in good working order, beds super comfortable, decor and kitchen upgrades very nice. But undeniably the best thing about this condo is the lanai and the oceanfront view. The listing pictures reflect reality. Sunrises, sunsets, turtles, whales, crashing waves, you name it. It was even awesome to sit on the lanai listening to the crashing waves in near total darkness except for the night sky. Our kids loved the pool area and that it was a short walk to Brennecke and Poipu Beaches. Would love to come back someday!

This condo is all about the full ocean view from the lanai. Kitchen was small, but relatively well stocked. We didn’t use the pool, but it looked great. Nicely situated condo, walking distance to Poipu Beach and Shipwreck. Owner was very responsive to our needs. I would say a tight squeeze in the second bedroom for two adults, but master bedroom is roomy. Great place for a family who wants lovely time together in a gorgeous location.
