Updated Beachfront Condo! Walk to Old Town Kapa'a

The best part of this condo is watching the wales play, right from the balcony! The little beach area steps from the home is a perfect place to lounge and play with kids. It’s centrally located with so much right within walking distance. The perfect little paradise! We’ll be back!

This condo is amazing!! My family (5 of us) enjoyed our stay very much. Hosts were very quick to respond to our questions. Place was very clean and right on the water. Resort grounds were beautiful with so much to do! On our down time (rainy day) we played ping pong, crockett and horseshoes. We will definitely be back!!

Our host was great! She was quick to respond to any emails or inquiries. The condo was perfect- the view was spectacular!!! There were several amenities that came in handy during our stay- we enjoyed the fold-out chairs while watching the beautiful sunrise! The kitchen was stocked- the beds were very comfortable and everything was spotlessly clean! We would definitely recommend a stay here while you visit Kauai!!

Beautiful condo well maintained and in great shape. We loved being right in the walking-bike path. Also appreciated the beach chairs, umbrella, and coolers.

All was perfect, but the missing AC on the second bedroom was a bad surprise.

The house was perfect for us. The beach was so close we opened our windows to listen to the ocean at night. This was the vacation of a lifetime, my husband and I with our two grown children and their spouses. I would highly recommend this rental. I asked Brooke and Betsy what the one thing is we should not miss. We took their advice, and it was everyone's favorite adventure of the whole trip.

We have stayed at Pono Kai a number of times, and this unit was our favorite. Beautiful view, nice fresh interior, ideal location, and easy communication with the owner. Highly recommend.

Amenities in this condo were above and beyond thoughtful... Finally a vacation rental with attention to important details like quality mattresses for a good night sleep, extra supplies including paper products, spices & beach going necessities. Comfortable upgrades & amazing views. The only downside was the laundry not in the unit but accessible to the building as a whole. But a minor inconvenience in the whole of this rental. Easy access to a beautiful beach, walking trail and amenities.

This was a wonderful condo. The location was close to the beach, slops and restaurants. The condo was clean, well stocked with beach chairs and everything we needed to make our vacation memorable. The Air Conditioner works amazing. The view from the balcony while we ate our breakfast was picturesque Thanks for making our 25 wedding anniversary a memorable celebration.

Loved the thoughtfulness throughout this condo- every beach item we could possibly need, lots of towels, fully stocked kitchen, and plenty of room for our group of 5. The teenagers enjoyed having their own space upstairs, which even has a little mini fridge. This is the first time we have stayed in a top floor unit which we enjoyed. The view is beautiful and it was very quiet, no noisy neighbors upstairs. Great location at the Pono Kai with all the fun amenities there. We regularly used the beach path for biking, walks, and going to the bridge for fishing. Walking distance to great restaurants, shops, and food trucks. I can’t say enough great things about this unit. Book it and you won’t be disappointed!

Walk Right outside to beach and walking path. Nice balcony to enjoy view w coffee in the am to watch sunrise. Very casual place and easy to walk to local shops if you are looking for laid back place. They had everything we needed for beach from cooler to chairs.

Quiet Place in a quaint little town. Ocean view was beautiful.

Our family had an excellent stay. The property is beautiful, well maintained and equipped. Beds were really comfortable. The view is amazing and worth the stay alone. The hosts are top notch. Would love to stay here again next time we're in Kauai!

We loved our stay and the condo was perfect for our family. The view from the lanai is stunning! The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The kitchen had everything no needed. The hall closet was stocked with beach chairs, sand toys, snorkels and so much more. Brooke and Betsy were very responsive to our questions. We would definitely stay here again.

This was our second stay at Pono Kai. First time in this unit. Really enjoyed this two bedroom with a loft. Lots of amenities. Comfy beds. Fully stocked kitchen. Great owners. Would love to return. Indeed, my daughter is lobbying for me to buy a unit. That’s high praise!

This property was exactly what we were looking for in our Kauai vacation. The condo was beautiful and clean with lots of room. the kitchen was well stocked. The view was breathtaking! We had coffee every morning watching the sunrise.The location of the condo is great! it is walking distance to so many great things- coffee, food trucks, fresh fruit stand... The view from the condo can't be beat! The bicycle path was wonderful for walks and people watching. January offered an opportunity to watch whales breaching. We had a great time and hope to return to beautiful Kauai!

6 adult family members had a wonderful Christmas getaway to this lovely beachfront condo. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook with, loved morning coffee on the Lanai, AC was quiet but powerful. Very clean.

We loved the views. Perfect for our family trip. Communication was always quick and helpful - very welcoming. Everything was in great condition and comfy in the unit, like new. Location is perfect for walking anywhere in Ka'paa. I hope to return.

We stayed here with family. We were able to leave the 20 somethings at the condo guilt free because they could walk to everything Great 8 mile bike path right outside the condo!

Comfy, clean condo in a resort complex with much on offer! Roll out the front door and down the stairs and you are steps from the sand and good swimming or from strolling and exploring oh-so-Kauai Kapa'a town. And, lots of beach gear in the closet to use!

Loved our time here. Great central location to beaches, food and relaxation. Condo worked well for six of us. Common use/shared coin operated washers and dryers only slight inconvenience for the trip. Wonderful grounds. Lots of games to play and opportunities through the activities center. Would come and stay again.

What a beautiful condo for our family of 6 adults to stay in. Had more than enough room for everyone. It is well equipped with everything you would need in the kitchen and for the beach. The condo is furnished very nicely and very comfortable. The grounds of the complex were lovely and we made use of the pool and hot tub. The bike walking path in front is great for renting a bike and taking in the views along the shore. The hosts Betsy and Brooke responded very quickly before our arrival and during when I had questions. They quickly fixed the concerns we had with the aircon in no time. I would highly recommend this unit and hosts Betsy and Brooke for your stay !

My family and I were here to celebrate my 50th birthday and we had the best time! The condo was everything we wanted and needed. It was clean, modern, comfortable and welcoming. The location is perfect for exploring the island and the views are top notch. We enjoyed watching the sunrise from the lanai every morning of our stay. Would 100% come back to this property.

Lovely place that is nicely decorated and very clean. Loved the ocean view and beach access right across the lawn. Nice to be so close to Kapaa town for convenient access to shops and restaurants. We would definitely stay again.

This property is exactly as advertised-- we chose it because it has proper beds for more people than any other Pono Kai property we could find, and were not disappointed. The proximity to the ocean and to town, the sunrises, the full kitchen, 2 baths, a/c--all as advertised. That having been said, there are a couple of things people should know, especially if you are travelling with more than four people. *The bedrooms are distinctly different! The master is a HUGE space, including ocean views, and it's own mini-split for A/C. The second king barely fits into the back bedroom; it is immediately by the main door, and that room has no a/c. It was very challenging to get a cross breeze, even with the supplied fans, and the windows open directly onto the exterior walkway. It is not a good room for folks who need cold and quiet, but it it much darker. The mattresses on these beds are also very soft. (The loft has its own a/c, which was great for the kids.) *There are two bathrooms--one in the hallway across from the main door, and one through the master bedroom and around a corner. We didn't mind having the master bedroom open all the time for others to use the bathroom, but everyone might not appreciate that. One other note is that the kitchen is will-equipped, and there are even a random assortment of dry goods left from previous visitors, so check the cabinets before you go shopping. Betsy was super-responsive on the one small issue we had.

Wonderful property with great central location for activities. Also very walkable to bars, restaurants and food trucks. Hosts were immediately available for questions and unit was equipped with anything you might need. Would recommend to anyone traveling to Kauai. Finally, the view of the sunrise from the lanai each morning was breathtaking.

This was our second time staying at this resort. The first time, we were busy with wedding plans, and doing the usual tourist things. This time, we actually spent some time here at the resort. Betsy and Brooke’s condo is so wonderful. The fully stocked kitchen was a surprise. We didn’t lack for anything. All the furniture and the beds were so comfortable. We spent a lot of time just sitting on the lanai, taking in the spectacular view! Had a couple lazy afternoons at the pool. Listened to a violin player one night in the lobby. There are gas grills throughout the grounds, we BBQd one night. Walked the bike path several times, came back through town, and stopped at Java Kai for macadamia nut lattes. Saw seals on the beach one morning. Drove down to Poipu to Kalapaki Joe’s for one of the best Happy Hours on the island. (It starts at 3, get there at 2:30, tables fill up quickly). Had a great breakfast at Kountry Kitchen. The macadamia nut pancake with coconut syrup was enough for two more breakfasts. It’s a less than ten minute walk into town. Lots of shops, restaurants and food trucks. The Fern Grotto was beautiful. A short boat ride gets you there. We enjoyed our stay, and would stay here again. One bonus—for those of us who pack like we’re staying for a month—the buildings have elevators! Very helpful when also lugging two sets of golf clubs, and the condo is on the third floor.

Very clean and well equipped. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook our meals and the condiments and pantry staples were a nice surprise. The closet has a ton of beach stuff - chairs, beach mats and sand toys. The owner was super responsive when we had a question about the AC (which worked great btw). The view is just as outstanding as pictured and we really enjoyed all the resort amenities. Also, the walkability is great - over a dozen restaurants you can walk to and even more if you rent a bike. We would definitely stay here again.

We really loved the view from the balcony and appreciated the AC on the hotter days. Short walk to Kapa'a was convenient too.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Kauai thanks in large part to this wondearful, centrally placed condo. The property was in a great town with tons of food options, including a wide variety of food trucks. We really enjoyed the tennis/Pickleball facilities, as well as the pool and hot tub. The unit itself has a great oceanfront view, and was very spacious to accommodate our group of seven. The loft was a hit with the kids, and the master bedroom is simply amazing. The kitchen was well stocked, which made for a very pleasant experience preparing a few meals. Doing laundry on the first floor was a little weird since their hours were limited to 8 AM to 10 PM. Not to mention you had to get changed at the front desk to utilize quarters but that would literally be my only concern with an extended stay. We stayed a week and I would highly recommend this to friends.

My wife and I totally enjoyed your condo in Kauai.We had our daughters and their spouse's with us and there was plenty of room. The walking/bike path was a big plus ,we used the path many times a day along with rental bikes we had. The condo was in a good location for all of our adventures. Would highly recommend this place for all. Thank You for the fun memories!!

This was a lovely condo with a ton of amenities. Just as advertised. The condo owners provided a list of recommended activities and restaurants and they were all great recommendations (although one or two restaurants seem to have closed down). I may suggest a couple extra pillows for each of the king beds but besides that, everything was ideal. We loved Kapa’a and will book this condo again if it’s available!!

Perfect! Everything we needed and the master-room bed was so comfortable. The views were amazing - enjoy several sunrises drinking coffee on the lanai. We would recommend this place to our family and friends.

We loved the condo that we stayed in it was very spacious and had amazing views! The place was super clean and it had everything we could have possibly needed!! The location was the best!! Soo easy to walk to restaurants and shops and our favorite, the bike path along the beaches!! Can’t wait to come back and visit!

Our group was 4 adults and a 6 year-old. We were a bit worried that February might be too rainy or cold, but the weather was perfect. The condo had lots of nice little touches to make our stay very efficient and accommodating. We loved Kauai so much that we all plan to come again and I would most definitely book this condo again - I highly recommend!

Really enjoyed our time here! It was a great location for a home base as we explored the island. Four nights on this island was not enough time!!
