3 Bedroom, 3 Bath Oceanfront Condo With Amazing Views of Molakai and Lanai

This was our 4th biennial visit to Randy's wonderful 4th floor/penthouse condo. Great beachfront location, great views, covered balcony, lots of space (2 bedrooms with doors on the main floor, and a full bedroom/bathroom/hide-a-bed in the loft (which (?unfortunately?) opens to the floor below, so don't expect lots of privacy). The condo has a well-equipped kitchen and enough dishes and glasses, etc. The beach area is spacious and very private for residents. It also has a great pool and hot tub. The location is close to The Times Supermarket which has almost everything one could want/need. The ABC Market/Store, also nearby, has good stuff too. Each evening, an area near Times Supermarket hosts a bunch of food trucks and outdoor eating areas, which is fun (and of course relatively inexpensive). Visiting in December into January, one can watch "up close and personal" (especially with binoculars/monoculars as whales breach/frolic in the marine sanctuary between Lanai, Molokai and Maui. We are already planning another visit in January 2018.

We enjoyed a very comfortable stay at Hale Mahina over New Years and Randy was a welcoming host! The condo has every item you need and anything you want can be easily picked up at the Safeway or ABC store. The balcony views are AMAZING anytime of day!

Randy was very communicative before and during our stay. The home was clean, welcoming, and had everything we needed for our stay. The beds were comfortable. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony every morning looking out at the ocean. We loved feeling like we had our own little beach, wasn't overly crowded ever. Parking was a breeze. Check in/out was easy.

The view is amazing!

Great location, great pool and snorkeling. Beach is very small. Views are amazing, turtles swim by all day long. No AC but trade winds kept things cool. I would return again. Thanks

The location allowed us to watch the turtles move through from the balcony. Amazing views. The beach in front was washed away due to the storm the prior week. We were able to utilize the beach next door. My only complaint was no AC. It was warm and the fans were not doing the job.Amazing property.

Randy was always available when we needed to communicate with him. There was plenty of room to accommodate 3 adults and 4 children.

Property is exactly as described! The view is amazing. The space was large enough to accommodate our group of 5, yet cozy enough to come together.The showers were amazing, beds comfortable and the view is insane. My family and I enjoyed the pool and private beach every day...and we were able to snorkel with the turtles. Parking was always available, and the property is not overcrowded.Randy was very responsive and allowed us to check in early. Condo was excellent! Great communication. We snorkeled right off the beach in front of the unit. We swam with sea turtles! We saw 7 rainbows one morning right from the lanai. Great sunsets every night. It was truly amazing and would love to come back.

I rented 3 units in Hale Mahina to house my family. A friend is an owner there so I knew it must be special. With a sandy beach where you will likely see a turtle resting, and convenient access to experiences that appeal to vacationers, this is a good choice. If you rent more than the penthouse, also get a unit on the 1st floor for easier access to the pool/beach area, but it's ok if you don't. There is an elevator which definitely helps get groceries & luggage up. The view out the wall of windows & from the balcony is absolutely spectacular, whether it's sunsets or rainbows over the azure, clear surf, pure tropic serenity is in front of you.

Randy contacted us before our stay, once we got there and at the end to make sure we knew what to do and asking if we needed anything. The place was nice and roomy and the view from the balcony was perfect!

Our group consisted of 4 adults and two children (8-12year old). Property had plenty of space for us all. Bring on the 4th floor we were able to see all the ocean animal pass by with our morning coffees. The semi private beach was amazing and not too busy. The water were perfect we saw and swam with sea turtles every day we stayed. We got to see a Hawaiian monk seal and dolphins. Randy the property owner was super communicative and checked in on us after a few hours after our arrival to make sure everything went smoothly. I would recommend property to anyone.

This condo checked all the boxes for our family. Location right on the beach, plenty of room for 8 adults and a full kitchen. Check-in and check out was a breeze and communication with the owner was great. We loved the beach in front of the condo, watched turtles and bumped into a seal while snorkeling. There are boogie boards, umbrellas and beach chairs to use. We will be coming back to this property. Thank you Randy for sharing your condo with us!!

Nice place, the host was super responsive and helpful. Everything was clean and great! We saw turtles from the balcony and it was nice to have the beach available. Had beach chairs and boogie boards and an equipped kitchen. New TVs. We had a great stay... There's a grumpy separate complex manager that doesn't like kids in the pool. So if you have younger children that are loud beware they won't be welcome in the pool area. Otherwise it was really great. Super close to a couple snorkeling areas. Water is a little choppy at times to snorkel right around the condo but it's still doable.

Location was perfect and beautiful. The property manager was very attentive and easy to get a hold of we saw so many turtles that come right up to the beach that hang out with you all day. Condo was big and beautiful. There’s a few bugs from always leaving the blinds and sliding glass doors open that could use a little attending to, there is a lot of pool rules for children was our only downfall but overall everything was amazing!!!

We had a fabulous stay! The property is well appointed and in the perfect location near North Kaanapali Beach! The grounds of the property are beautiful and the small beach located directly in front offered amazing snorkeling and turtle watching! It felt very private! The unit itself was very spacious and we loved the views from the lanai! Please note that there is no air conditioning at the rental, however, there are plenty of fans that help with the circulation and louvers and screen doors to let outside air in! We would absolutely come back!

We really enjoyed this spacious condo, the pool and small beach were huge perks and we loved the location within walking distance of several shopping areas, especially Bad Ass Coffee. It was comfortable for our group of 6 and well supplied with beach chairs, towels, boogie boards and everything we needed in the kitchen. The only downside was that it is quite dated. We loved sitting on the balcony watching the whales and gorgeous sunsets.

Great communication they made sure we had a great stay

This was the perfect place to stay for our family. The condo is on a great location and right on a small private beach with snorkeling and surfing (depending on swell size).The condo is very spacious, in good shape and has everything you will need for your time in Maui.The property owner is great to work with if you have any questions. Highly recommend for you next stay.

We had a great time in Maui. The condo was perfect for what we needed. The only negative we found is the lack of central air conditioning (I think this is the same for the entire building). There were lots of fans to get the air circulated, but it was warm in the late afternoons with the sun shining into the condo. Other than that, it was great!! The views were amazing and it’s away from the big resorts so it’s quiet. We saw whales, turtles, and seals from the balcony. We all enjoyed sitting on the balcony every day just watching the waves come in and looking for whales. We would definitely stay here again and will let friends know of the condo if they are visiting Maui.

This property gave my family everything we wanted in our vacation to Maui and more! The private beach and pool were perfect for our 3 year old to enjoy multiple times a day. Then we could walk right up to the condo to comfortably take naps and watch the turtles and whales from the lanai. The condo was clean but a little worn. Didn’t bother us a bit considering it is a beach front property. Spacious enough for our family of 7 to fit pleasantly. The complex property manager was a bit of a stickler when it came to playing in the pool and making too much noise. I understand some of the other crowds in the complex don’t want to listen to kids screaming but most of the other vacationers seemed to really enjoy watching the kids play and experience the magic of Maui. Randy was extremely communicative, prompt, and friendly. Check in and check out we’re super easy and made for a flawless trip. We will definitely be back!

Amazing views! We absolutely loved our stay at 401. It had plenty of room for six of us. The view from the lanai was fabulous. We were able to whale watch from there. Being right on the beach and hearing the ocean at night was so nice. The beach area and amenities were perfect for our stay. Sea turtles sunned right on the beach. It was such a relaxing time. There’s no AC but there are plenty of windows and fans. With all that said, the place could use a deep cleaning. We also struggled with bugs/cockroaches in the kitchen area. It needs an exterminator. We couldn’t leave anything in the kitchen area. This could very well be a five star property but not until they give it some TLC.

Private beach pool and hot tub were great to come home to each day. The two “resident” sea turtles facinated the kids. Our comfortable condo was the largest in the development and worked well for the 7 of us. Sunsets from the deck were spectacular. We even enjoyed a storm our last evening there.

The property is in a super nice location and have a great view. Randy communicated very well.However we suffered quite a lot on the cleanness and bugs. We saw cockroaches in the kitchen. All the rooms look a bit dirty and definitely need some deep cleaning. Every night we had to kill tens of ants in the bedroom. One of the kids got bitten by the ant. We reported them back to Randy. Hopefully it can be improved.If you don't care the cleanness or not bothered by the bugs, this is still a good property. Unfortunately we are not a big fan and this almost ruins our family trip.

This property is located in an amazing area. The views were beautiful. Spacious for 6 adults and 2 children. Comfortable beds and furniture. Kitchen supplies were adequate for meal making.

We rented this space from November 3-9. The location is beautiful, close to several grocery stores, souvenir shops and places to dine. Our family of 4 had plenty of space and everyone got their own bathroom, which we love! Plenty of room to hang clothes up, washer and dryer work and it’s great to be able to wash and dry our clothes. The kitchen is equipped with utensils, pots, pans, glasses, wine glasses, plates, bowls and mugs. The coffee pot works slow but gets the job done. We were able to get whole bean coffee due to a coffee grinder in the kitchen (wonderful!). Parking passes were great. Lots of keys to the place which is good because you’ll need a key to get in and out of the pool area which stays fairly calm with the manager staying in one of the units. Our unit was a corner unit, while there is no air conditioning, there are a lot of windows that you can open. It takes about a night to get acclimated when coming from Salt Lake City. The listing says there is a blow dryer, however it’s very old and doesn’t really “work” so make sure to pack a hair dryer if you use one. Upon arriving, we were tired and happy to have big beds in each room. The mattresses are a bit worn, as the king bed has divots where people lay. We were disappointed in the cleanliness of the place to be honest. Walls are dirty, brown spots in bathrooms and on walls. We realize it’s by the ocean and took much of the wear and tear as that. But the dead bugs and dirt in corners of rooms and stairs.

Wonderful 3 bedroom 3bath. Ocean side as promised. Tradewinds made water at beach a challenge but would definitely book again. No AC was bummer but plenty of fans and natural air flow allowed for plenty of circulation.

Great location, short drive or walk to coffee, various shops and rental shops. The private beach is incredible. We saw turtles everyday and the swimming was magnificent. Only an about an hour away from the airport.

Our family of five stayed here for a week during August. The first thought upon entering the apartment was, “this place is huge”. We had a ton of room. The location was perfect with a family friendly atmosphere but close enough to all the area has to offer. We spent each morning watching the sea turtles eat right off the retainer wall and even watched dolphins our last day on site. The kitchen is well appointed and there’s snorkel gear, coolers, and beach toys to enjoy. We highly recommend. Randy was very responsive and wonderful.

We loved the condo - clean and spacious, easily accommodated three families totaling 7 people. Great location and very quiet. The only thing we didn't love was the beach access (or lack thereof). Listing indicated an easy access but it wasn't, had to jump off a wall and then attempt a slippery climb back up. But overall it was a great stay.

Enjoyed staying in this sizable penthouse condos with private beach access and views of Lanai and Molokai. Quick access to Highway 30 and to local shops, restaurants, grocery stores and nearby beaches in Ka'anapali, Kapalua and Lahaina. Having a kitchen was great and helped save from having to eat out all meals. Having access to plenty of towels, snorkel gear, beach chairs, beach toys and umbrellas was greatly appreciated, as was the washer and dryer. Furnishings are a little dated and the whole place could use a deep cleaning. Overall, it was a great stay.

Loved the property so much. Just a few steps from the beach, loved the openness of bedrooms. Everything we needed was right there. Host was responsive, very friendly and welcoming. Easy check in instructions. I’d stay here again in a heartbeat.

This property was perfect for our family vacation. If you're looking for a place with amazing views, a quiet beach, sea turtles galore, dolphin and whale sightings from the lanai, gorgeous sunsets, and plenty of room to spread out, this is the place for you! The property is a little "beach worn" but that wouldnt deter us from renting it again. Everything we needed for fun on the beach was provided including ample beach towels, sand toys, chairs, umbrellas, and boogie boards. The location is close to restaurants and an outstanding food truck park. Thank you for sharing the beauty of Maui with us!

Stayed at the condo with a family of seven for ten days over spring break. Overall good experience but complaints from other reviews are valid. Pros: Location. Second to none. Watch a beautiful sunset every day, turtles on the beach, watch whales breach offshore…fall asleep to the sound of waves. Pool and beach fantastic. Condo is big and mostly well equipped (see cons). Even had a monk seal on the beach one day! Cons : Not overly clean and starting to show it’s age. Squashed bugs in cutting board cupboard, kitchen chairs that need to be tightened before using or they’ll fall apart, couldn’t get the TV in master bedroom to work, lack of some amenities you think it would have (tinfoil, plastic wrap). Not enough diner seating for parties over four. Frankly I thought it would be a touch nicer for the price we paid (1500 Canadian all in per night), but the location and views make up for a lot . Overall a great experience but maybe not enough for the price we paid to ever return.

The view is spectacular especially from the master bedroom. However. The home is outdated and needs upgrades and deep clean. The guest bathroom shower was very wonky and we found baby cockroaches in the kitchen on a couple days. We kept the kitchen spotless and put all food, including dry food in the fridge. It can get warm in the loft and back bedroom. The view and location is why I gave this a 4; otherwise, a 3

We spent an 8 day vacation in maui at this location. There were some good things and some bad things about this property. Pro: location is central to both Napili and Kaanapali and the condos are quiet and right on the beach. The place is spacious and did provide beach towels and chairs. The kitchen was well stocked. Cons: shabby....desperately in need of a good cleaning. There was literally thick dust in one of the bedrooms and the general upkeep is low. Advertised for 8 people. There was bedding for 6 people. We called for a blanket for the pull out bed and took two days to get one. We had someone sleeping which beach towels for warmth. Beware that although the other residents of the condo complex are VERY nice, it's an older group and there are NO ball or pool sports allowed on the grass.....so don't think you are going to toss a ball around with your kids. Finally we had a check out at 11:00-noon as stated in our instructions and at 10:30 we had a man who knocked and said he needed us out and stood outside the door and waited until we we hurried and packed and left. We had a great time with our family but would not probably book again due to everything noted above.

Great location on the beach. So much more private than a resort setting. Would stay again.
