Newly renovated one-bedroom Ocean View Condo. Enjoy ocean and mountain views from the comfort of this gorgeous unit. The furnishings are a beautiful mixture of rattan and the bright pillows and upholstery create a lively atmosphere. The flooring is tile in the kitchen and wood floors in the living and dining areas.
The fully equipped kitchen has been renovated with new cherry cabinets, stainless steel appliances, starfish cabinet handles, granite countertops, and fixtures. The living and dining areas are wide open with plenty of sunlight and the counter in the kitchen has stools for your leisure. The living room in the unit also has a flat-screen television and a large coffee table for games. The bedroom has a king bed and the living room has a sofa bed which allows the condo to accommodate up to four (4) people. The bathroom in this unit is well lit and has a large mirror and a bathroom with a tub.
Kauhale Makai is a great property with an endless amount of amenities for your usage. There is a pool and a hot tub, and even a kids pool for your enjoyment. There are gas grills on the property and coin-operated laundry facilities. You may even venture further to enjoy the shuffleboard and putting greens.
Nearby this complex, you will find amazing places to dine such as Nalu's South Shore Grill, Monsoon India, Fork and Salad, and Isana Sushi. Furthermore, if you need any additional things for your condo throughout the duration of your stay you can venture to Piilani Shopping Center which is about 10 minutes away to Safeway grocery store, Starbucks, and even the food court located in the same mall featuring Subway, Cold Stone Creamery, and Maui Burgers. Some beaches in the area are Mai Poina Beach Park and Sugar Beach. Additional activities to enjoy are the Maui Ocean Center, Maui Tropical Plantation, or various Upcountry Maui opportunities such as the Lavender Farm, Ocean Vodka, or Zip Lining. Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Unit was nicely updated and clean. We stayed in another unit previously and was disappointed due to not being updated. This unit was much different. Highly recommended!The only negative is the pictures show a bottle of champagne and two glasses on the counter that were not there.
Very well stocked unit from kitchen to the water toys and beach towels/ chairs! The only issue we had was when we were told to not check in to front office upon arrival until 4pm at 345 pm we entered front office for our parking pass and she said she was leaving and told us to come back tomorrow! They were suppose to be open til 5 weekdays.. this was very confusing!
Great condo, location was perfect. The property was nice and will probably be awesome once the interior courtyard is renovated. The parking lot is very tight and you can pretty much guarantee some door dings, we were glad that the renovations going on allowed us to park away from our assigned spot and thus we avoided unnecessary dings. Staff were great and the security staff were very responsive and professional. We would stay here again.
This is a nice unit that's been updated. Kitchen is fully stocked and beach chairs and towels are provided. No washer and dryer IN the unit. Have to use pay laundry on the same floor. I didn't use air conditioner since leaving the sliding doors open and running the bedroom ceiling fan helped cool the place. Plus the air conditioner made it smell musty-moldy in the unit. Biggest drawback was the noise from two sources: (1)they are remodeling close-by units so you hear very loud pounding and grinding noises from 8 to 5 Monday thru Friday. The info on the website only mentions exterior maintenance being performed. Maui Condo and Home, the rental agent, said they weren't aware of the remodeling going on. :-( AND (2) since you're on the top floor, you hear the loud hum of the air conditioner units on the roof going on and off which is especially noticeable at night when you're in bed. If you're looking for quiet place to spend the day, beware!
