Spectacular Ocean Views, Luxury Resort-style Home, Waterfront Privacy

Beautiful home in Kohala. Had a wonderful week with family. Thank you!

This was a dream vacation for our group and the house did not dissapoint! Wow! A view to die for, plenty of room for our party of 8, a great kitchen, and a great pool and playroom for the kids. The neighborhood is gated and peaceful. We spent many an hour on the lanai and in the beautiful pool. There are 5 bedrooms. Two upstairs are connected by a bathroom suite-style, one with en suite off of the playroom, one downstairs with en suite that is accessed from the patio (no interior door), and the beautiful master with the most amazing shower you have ever seen! The master is also "detached" and has access from the lanai or from it's own exterior door. All of the bedrooms have air conditioning but the main part of house does not. It does have a wall of screened pocket doors out to the lanai and plenty of windows. The house was comfortable all day in 88 degree weather if we were careful to put the shades down in late afternoon when the sun comes right in the front (gorgeous sunsets!). There are many ceiling fans to keep the breeze flowing too. Granted, we are fom the South but it never got too warm unless we forgot the shades. Honestly we spent most of our time outside anyway!The house is within striking distance of both Waimea and Waikoloa for shopping and supplies and not too far from Kona proper, 45 mins or so.The owner is great. Very responsive and helpful.We all felt so rejuvenated after our stay here. Thank you Julie for letting us share your little slice of paradise!

Our family had an amazing time! The house is fantastic with everything that you would want! The view is spectacular! It was the first trip to Hawaii for our family and the memories will last a lifetime! We would definitely stay there again! We took family pictures in the yard!

What an amazing and beautiful home! We stayed for 10 nights and did not want to leave. Each family had their own private area to stay in. The kitchen was fabulous, and the downstairs rec room was great for all the grandchildren. We enjoyed the pool every day. The gated community is so quiet, and we only heard other people towards the end of our trip. A guy came to trim the coconut trees one day and it was fascinating to watch him climb up and down the trees. The wind did blow hard several days, and the electricity was shut off one day due to wildfire concerns, but we stayed cool by playing in the pool. We saw sea turtles at the beaches we visited; went to Hawi a couple of times; and even drove to Hilo one day. It was a perfect vacation!

Our family of 9 extremely enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home! There was plenty of space for everyone to enjoy and relax. The home was also exactly what we needed for accessibility for our daughter who is wheelchair bound. We all enjoyed the beautiful view and ocean breeze on the lanai!

My family and I booked this beautiful home to celebrate our daughter’s high school graduation. The home is exceptional. The views, deck, pool and outdoor kitchen were awesome!

Beautiful property, quiet gated neighborhood, amazing pool and views. Lots of room for a large group - however we only had 6, everyone had their own space which was great. You had choices on indoor or outdoor eating, sitting, and cooking!We were able to whale watch from the lanai every day (Feb stay) we also saw some dolphins! And the sunsets were unbelievable!It's a quick 15 minutes to a grocery store, beaches, and a few restaurants. The owners left a great list of things to see and do on the island which was helpful. Kitchen is fully equipped, stove has an amazing warming shelf which came in so handy! There are TVs in the family room and living room - however we did not turn them on - with the view and pool no need. There were beach chairs, umbrella, and cooler to use, along with pool/beach towels. Large washer/dryer to keep everything clean and tidy during the stay. Grounds were amazing - thanks B for keeping everything beautiful.Would stay here again!

I completely agree with one of the other reviewers....selfishly don't want others to know what a great VRBO option this is so we can have it for ourselves. The views were spectacular, with whales and dolphins and sunsets. Beautiful furnishings, spacious rooms, well-appointed kitchen. Thank you for a wonderful week! We will be back for sure.....

The house is located in a gated community, very quiet and safe. This house is beautiful, just as pictured. It is well laid out and decorated with lots of Hawaiian art. We stayed for 10 days with our grown children and their spouses, a total of 9 of us. We cooked most of our own meals in the very large kitchen, stocked with everything you would need. The lanai was our favorite spot in the house, lots of room for everyone to sit and watch the whales. And we saw lots of whales during our stay, some came pretty close to the coast. The weather was great, a little warm, but we came from Indiana where it had been pretty cold for quite a while so we all appreciated the heat. The only complaint, not really a complaint, was the grill - most of the smoke from the grill came onto the lanai, so we understood why you had to close the lanai doors or the smoke alarm would have gone off. Only the bedrooms have air, but with going in and out of the lanai it made sense not to have the air on in the main part of the house...but it would have been nice in the game room. We loved this place and did not want to leave, we actually tried to stay another couple of days but we couldn't get our flights changed. While here we took a tour of the Volcano National Park, Hawaiin Vanilla Company and the Macadamia Nut company down the road. We would definitely stay here again, may next year. Owner and manager were very nice and promptly answered any questions we had. We highly recommend this rental.

This was a great property that comfortably fit our group of 8. The property was beautiful and we were able to watch whales jumping and splashing from the pool. Loved the week we were there!

we have stayed in many places on the big island, and everyone of our party of seven agreed that this was the best place we stayed. Location, although a bit far from grocery stores and restaurants, is fantastic. Beautiful view of the ocean all day. Watched for whales and dolphins and were rewarded with multiple sightings. House was plenty big for all of us and was very well equipped, particularly the kitchen which we enjoyed tremendously. The basement game room was fantastic, with the pool, ping-pong, and foosball. The only thing that was a little unusual with the layout of the house, as some of the rooms have best access from outside. This could be an issue if you had little kids. For us, however, it did afford nice privacy to everybody. We enjoyed our stay very much and would certainly come back.

This is a beautiful property. We love the neighborhood. The house is perfect. It's our 2nd time staying here and we'd definitely come back again. Highly recommend!!

Aside from the fact that the house looks amazing in the listing, one of the main reasons I booked this home was the sheer amount of glowing reviews it has received, and the property lives up to every one of them. The neighborhood is well manicured, quiet, and the home itself is situated in such a way that makes it almost feel completely secluded. The main lanai and the pool area absolutely live up to the photos. Although we were often out of the house during the day, I could have spent the entire vacation just taking in the views and swimming in the warm water of the pool. Speaking of views, whale and dolphin sightings were frequent, with dolphins making their way into the cove as you look south/southwest from the house. Tip: I recommend bringing binoculars but there is a set in the house if needed. The rest of the house is just as amazing, clean, and well-equipped. On a related note, I recommend reading the physical house guide as it has a lot of helpful info about the house as well as suggestions for activities, restaurants, and sites of interest. Danielle, the property manager, was friendly, excellent to work with and very responsive throughout. Most importantly, I fully intend to book this home the next time I travel with a group - I won't even waste my time browsing other properties, that's how perfect this house is. And last but not least, thanks to Julie and Time for sharing their wonderful home!

This property was truly an amazing place to stay to celebrate my late father with a family reunion. The house is beautiful and the views of the ocean are stunning. We saw whales and dolphins swimming just offshore. The property manager was very great to work with and very responsive when we had two minor issues, including one on Thanksgiving Day. I would highly recommend this property. It is truly like staying at your own private resort. We had nine people and there was space for everyone. The rooms were clean and well-appointed, the kitchen was expansive and awesome, the game room was a lot of fun, and the pool and spa were the best! Would love to stay here again! this property. The house is perfect for a family. Each person had their own room with a lanai and most had their own bathroom. The infinity pool is awesome with an incredible view. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking on the Viking stove or the Viking barbecue. A lot of details are well thought out so it is comfortable and has everything you could want for a memorable vacation. The gated neighborhood is top drawer and private. It's close to the best fish market on the whole island, many nice beaches and a couple super fun restaurants that mostly locals go to. Loved it!!

The view is the best part about this home - everywhere you look from the back patio is beautiful. We even saw some dolphins one morning! However, the lack of air conditioning in the main areas would prevent us from booking this home again. While this was mentioned in the property details, we wrongly assumed the ocean breeze would cool these spaces. Even with all available fans on high, it felt unbearably hot, especially in the afternoons and while cooking. For reference, we stayed in Sept/Oct, with high temps between 70-75 F and 75-100% humidity. Unfortunately, the heat was often so stifling, the group would retreat to their individual bedrooms with AC instead of spending time together in the common areas. One other item to note: there is no bathtub in the entire home. I believe it has six bathrooms but not one has a tub. This was challenging with two babies. With all that said, again, the views are incredible. The neighborhood was quiet and felt very safe. We very much appreciated the bowl of tropical fruits upon arrival. We had a couple small issues with the refrigerator and a bedroom's AC and the owners/property manager were kind and responded promptly. The pool was large, clean and refreshing. If you don’t mind the lack of air conditioning, or if you visit during a cooler part of the year, I’m sure this property would be perfect for you!

The pictures don’t do this place justice. The home and property are perfect. We couldn’t have picked a better property. Owners (Julie and Tim) were great to work with and so was the property manager, Dani. If you are looking for paradise, look no further!

I am alway a bit nervous when I rent a property sight unseen. Rarely do pictures portray accurately. My entire family was pleasantly surprised, from the initial peek from the road, to the stunning environment inside this home. Decor was very classic with appreciation of art displayed all around. This home was perfect for our very special celebration. We hired a recommended personal chef to shop before we arrived. Not having to stress over the time it takes to get here or there finding groceries was a vacation life saver!! The food she cooked for our big dinner was beautifully prepared and presented with delicious Hawaiin overtones. I highly recommend this splurge for something as epic as a 50th! The kids especially loved the infinity pool and most house -provided snorkels worked great for our needs. Lots of private spaces available to chill plus an amazing game room for kids and adults. Thank you to our wonderful hosts for sharing this gem with us. Truly exceptional!

The property was beautiful. There was enough room for all 10 of us to have our own space. The view from the deck was beautiful. We could see dolphins jumping in the ocean. None of us wanted to leave at the end of our stay. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us.

A beautiful, comfortable and spacious home with a fabulous ocean view. This home was furnished nicely and the kitchen has everything you will ever need. Plenty of room for the eight of us. Enjoyed the pool and hot tub and the game room was a hit with the younger adults. While the home is about 45 minutes from the Kona airport, it was a perfect central location for all our activities. Will come again.

The house and its interior are very accurately pictured on the VRBO site. The decor and accommodations were exceptional. Each room's appointments were reflective of the island and Hawaiian culture. We spent each morning and evening on the veranda enjoying the view out over the water. The house created a very positive memory for each of us.

Beautiful property - you don’t even have to leave to do anything else and you feel like you’ve been on vacation! It’s relaxing and dreamy with a gourmet kitchen, beautiful patio, and amazing sunset views.

Beautiful home with sweeping views of the ocean. Grateful we stayed there during peak whale watching season. The rooms are spread out, giving privacy to all the guests. The host was very friendly and responsive. I definitely recommend staying there if you have the opportunity!

We loved the location of this property, the views and amenities were wonderful. The layout of the house and bedrooms fit us perfectly, it was a relaxing recharge for the whole family.
