The home overlooks stunning ocean coastline, the world-renowned Mauna Lani South course and 49 Black Sand Beach. Ocean Gem offers stunning ocean, golf and sunset views. From the living room or dining room watch the golfers on one of the most famous holes in Hawaii. During winter you can watch Humpback whales play just off the shoreline.
This home has it all! Located in the prestigious Mauna Lani Point, this is one of the few complexes where you can easily walk to the Mauna Lani Private Beach Club. The beach club offers chairs, cabanas, sheltered waters for snorkelling and paddle-boarding, as well as Napua Restaurant and Bar for lunch or dinner. Ocean Gem is also adjacent to the private Heated Pool complex which has a beautiful surrounding garden.

Ocean Gem is a single-level condo on the second floor with 2 bedrooms.
The first Primary Bedroom overlooks the ocean with a new King bed and luxury spa-like ensuite complete with a soaker tub.
The second bedroom comes with two TwinXL beds that can be combined into a single King bed with gel topper to provide the utmost in flexibility for families.
There is a sleeper sofa in the living room.
From the living room or dining room watch the waves crash on the rugged lava shoreline with a black sand beach (one of our favorite for snorkeling) and then soak in a glorious sunset over the Pacific. During winter you can watch Humpback whales play just off the shoreline.
You can even walk down to a private beach to go snorkeling with the free gear we provide.
A short walk away is famous 49 Black Sand Beach.

We love building really big sand castles! Kohala sand is exceptional for this and we have the tools for kids and adults alike. For your day at the beach, you'll find:

• Large collection of snorkel gear in multiple sizes so you can share the wonders of the ocean
• Boogie boards to enjoy playing in the waves
• Life jackets, swim belts for the younger ones
• Large wheeled cooler and Tupperware containers for your beach picnic
Enjoy our bikes (adult, youth and kids with helmets and locks) allowing you to explore the Mauna Lani resort. They are great for going to the Private Beach Club (access included), exploring the Black Sand Beach, historical grounds, Fairmont resort hotel or the many other wonderful places that Mauna Lani has to offer.

Having traveled with our kids when they were young we know how difficult it is to lug all the baby equipment. Our goal is to make your life easier so we have equipped our vacation home with:

Things to do:
Staying in Mauna Lani Point gives you full access to its private pool and spa hot tub. This home is in building D which is the closest to the pool complex.
You can also take advantage of the clean private beach club staffed with lifeguards and the Napua Restaurant just two miles away. Excellent snorkeling in calm waters!
A short drive away are six of the most spectacular beaches in Hawaii including Beach 69, Hapuna beach and the breathtaking Mauna Kea beach.
The Kohala coast is a golfer's paradise with seven challenging courses all within seven miles of our villa.
Minutes down the street is the Shops at Mauna Lani where you can find supermarket, coffee shops, restaurants, clothing and accessory stores, art, and free weekly entertainment in the evenings.
Ocean Gem is within the Mauna Lani resort, close to both Auberge and the Fairmont Orchid Hotels.

Great location, incredible views and terrific condo. Everything went perfect and as planned.
The location was perfect, the view was spectacular. This condo had everything you need to make an ideal Big Island vacation.
Spacious rooms, great views, beds were very comfortable and nice daylight black out window coverings for sleeping in. The shower in master resort quality and comfort. The kitchen was well stocked with all the tools and a huge refrigerator. We have stayed on a number of island condos, this one rates top two.
Beds were very comfortable and has everything you'd want. Close to pool. Owners very responsive. I loved the fact there were 2 bikes. I suggested they have one lock for each bike and the bikes could use some service. Considering how responsive and how good everything else was I imagine they could have already dealt with that by now.
Great place for sunset peace and quiet. Walking distance to the best beach to snorkel at. No beach toys at residence. The only complaint we have is that the home was still pretty dirty when we checked in. We had to wipe down appliances counters and call the management to come clean the windows/ sliders.

Loved the location and views from this condo. My review is mixed. Pros: Lovely location, prompt responses from property team (even though we couldn't get early check in or late check out), very well stocked unit with plenty of beach provisions (boogie boards, life vests, pool noodles, umbrella etc), items for our kids (bed bumper, high chair, audio monitors, kids cups etc). The unit is spacious with stunning ocean views. Cons: Was disappointed, however, in the cleanliness of the unit. Found brown stains on the comforter in one of the rooms and washed it myself. The floors were so dirty our feet were black. Dust bunnies in the corners. The furniture was pretty worn out, but that wouldn't have bothered us if the place was a bit cleaner upon arrival.

We had a great stay at Ocean Gem. The location is perfect. The condo is in fantastic shape, with everything you need. Communication before and during our trip was great as well. We look forward to coming back!
