Return to air conditioning, fast WiFi, cable TV, a walk-in shower, and a BBQ for a relaxed evening. The studio includes a microwave and stove for simple meals. It is a comfortable, low-key landing place for two guests who want the Big Island outdoors close by and their own quiet space at night.
The Space:
Built in 2019, this studio has a clean, modern feel with natural light and a flowered sofa for a quiet reading break. One bed sleeps two, while air conditioning, WiFi, cable TV, a walk-in shower, microwave, mini fridge, coffee maker, and stove support an easy stay. The private outdoor shower, set among lava rock, is a practical and memorable finish to a sandy beach day.
Guest Access:
This Star of Waikoloa Ainamalu Ohana guest house offers a private entrance and its own patio or balcony for relaxing outside. Guests have full use of the kitchenette essentials and a BBQ grill on-site. It is a self contained studio with no shared resort facilities, ideal for a quiet, independent stay.
The Neighborhood:
Waikoloa is made for sunny Big Island days, with Anaehoʻomalu Bay, coastal golf, and resort dining all within easy reach. Spend a morning at A-Bay, where historic fishponds sit behind the sand, then head to Queens' MarketPlace or Kings' Shops for a meal and supplies. The wider Kohala Coast opens up for beach hopping, snorkeling, and sunset drives, while Waikoloa itself feels relaxed and practical. It is a strong base for travelers who want the Big Island's dry, beach-forward side.
Getting Around:
Kona International Airport is roughly 20 to 30 minutes away, an easy drive up the Kohala Coast. A rental car is recommended to reach beaches, restaurants, and the resort area's shops with ease. Waikoloa Beach Resort keeps some shopping and dining walkable, while nearby beaches and Waikoloa Village are a short drive. Parking is generally available in resort lots or on site at most properties.
Other Things to Note:
Private entrance. There is 1 camera on the garage facing the front driveway perimeter. We stock the studio with linens (sheets and towels) and a starter pack of toilet paper, dishwasher pods, a small bottle of dish soap and sponge, trash bags, and laundry detergent. We do not stock pantry items, but previous guests may have left some items behind. If staying longer than 3 nights, plan to bring extras with you. Stays over 28 nights may be eligible for a fee waiver. This property is managed by Heavenly Vacations.

This was a pretty unit, well laid out as far as space goes. My only complaint is kitchen could use a small stovetop. Wish it was closer to the beach. But it was a very good pick.

Great new, clean, and comfortable option
Pleasant
There was no kitchen - but not big deal for 2 night stay as we intended to eat out anyway. But only one coffee mug was disappointing as wife & I had to share it in morning. Vacasa manages this property so tons of added fees. Lots of fixed fees like cleaning averaged over 2 nights makes this expensive place to stay. Unit is extremely nice in a brand new neighborhood. Beautiful studio attached to home rented separately. Very fancy place. Indoor shower awesome and having outdoor shower was very nice and unique experience. I didn’t receive any check-in info and had to call Vacasa to obtain lock box code & other check-in details.
Nice and quiet place for 2
Location was great. Close to my favorite restaurants and Hapuna B. for daily 10Ks before work. Love the outdoor shower after the barefoot beach runs.
Better than expected. You pretty much have your own house to yourself. Nice neighborhood. Good restaurants/food and beaches nearby.
