Nani Kai Hale 303 | Amazing Views, Private Balcony

It is obvious that someone cares a lot about the grounds and takes pride in keeping things clean. We thought there would be in-unit laundry, but there's a laundry room with washer/dryer on each level. I felt the furnishings in this condo compared to other units we've rented on our trips to Maui were very worn. When we first arrived to the unit, it smelled horrible and we found dirt embedded into the area rug, couch, pillows and bedspread. When we notified the rental company, they promptly came out and carpet cleaned the items. After the condo was cleaned, it smelled better as well. The bed was very worn and felt lumpy, we slept on it sideways and it seemed to work fine for the time we were there. However, the unit would definitely benefit from a new mattress. Otherwise, the unit was comfortable and well-located. The furnishings were not as expected, a little dated, but clean and sturdy (with the exception of the lumpy bed). There was a shelf in the master shower that was broken. The toilet paper holder did not hold well, it is a bar that kept flipping downwards, so we didn’t use it. We were happy with the hospitality of the place in general. The kitchen was well stocked and the unit came with beach accessories. The TV in the bedroom did not work. There was wifi, however, it was not consistent with the connection. Overall, it is a good place to stay and we would consider returning again to a different unit.

My family has stayed at Nani every year they go to Maui and it’s always such an amazing time! From the beautiful beach and coastal views to the home like presence it’s definitely an easy choice!

We love Nani Kai Hale and has a great time for the second time

Have stayed at Nani Kai Hale before, as well as Sugar Beach & Kealia. We love this area and it's easy to walk along the beach to visit family staying in other nearby condos. The community at NKH was great, we went to a community "Happy Hour" in the rain and met lots of folks while at that, the pool, and the lawn area. Everyone was very nice and welcoming. Parking was easy, the grounds were nice and the tables, chairs, pool were all very. well-kept. The only thing I was disappointed about was that the listing implied the unit had a washer/dryer ... "This amazing condo is the total package including WiFi, washer and dryer, community pool..." The amenities listing also says "washer" so we thought there would be in-unit laundry but in reality, there's a laundry room with coin-operated machines (2 washers, 2 dryers). on each level. It was $2/load to wash, $1.75 to dry. The unit was well appointed, but I felt the important furnishings that most other units we've rented on our trips to Maui were sparse and worn in this unit. For example, there were only 2 beach worn towels, one extra blanket which we used the hideaway bed for our daughter along. with a couple of pretty flat & worn pillows, and toilet paper holder in the master bath felt like it was about to fall off so we didn't even use it. The mattress was very firm and felt worn/older so it would have been nice to have something a little bit upgraded to fall into at the end of a busy day. Otherwise, the unit was very clean, comfortable and well-located. We would consider returning again to NKH but probably a different unit ("the pool was always warm, says my daughter!") so that was nice on the cooler rainy days when the ocean was rough.

The grounds are immaculate and location on Sugar Beach is fabulous. The unit itself is a ways back on the property you can see the ocean from the lanai, but there is a bit of road noise. The unit would benefit from removing unnecessary items from closets. The cleaners could do a better job and pay more attention to details. The bed was very comfortable. Overall the unit is fairly represented in the description and would recommend it to other travellers for good value.

The property is great. Because we came in the evening the end of the month and the gate code had just changed we had to wait to get the code from the property manager the next day. An inconvenience. Dishes above the fridge all dirty/dusty. A little outdated and boring decor.

Condo was very clean and quiet with very comfortable furniture. Also, wonderful location on the beach along with being close to shopping and restaurants. Would definitely stay again!

The location is right in the middle of the island, so you're about 20 minutes to an hour away from almost everything. It's not the best location for hanging out at the beach on the property as there are some pretty strong waves. But it was super comfortable and the perfect option for utilizing as a homebase!
