We have now partnered with the wonderful homeowners of Mauna Kea Sunrise Villa to provide a similarly well-equipped home for your entire family or group to enjoy.
NEW: This home includes FREE Hilton Waikoloa Village Resort passes in 2026. The Hilton Waikoloa Village Resort was voted #1 resort in Hawaii by USA Today.
Normally resort passes cost $100/adult and $60/child but when staying at this home use for up to 10 people is COMPLIMENTARY with no additional cost each and every day of your stay. This includes use of resort pools, the river pool, waterslides, hot tub, saltwater lagoon for snorkeling, lounge chairs, towels and parking validation for one vehicle.
It also includes a 10% discount on Spa Treatments, 10% discount on Lagoon toys and Cabana rentals.
Guests love this resort pass which gives them the best of both worlds with hotel privileges and a comfortable well equipped vacation home.

This 4 bedroom home is fully furnished with (2) Primary Suites, each with a private ensuite, and King size bed.
The third bedroom is furnished with (2) queen beds.
The 4th bedroom with (2) twin XL mattresses that can be joined to make a King with gel topper.
The airy open concept main floor includes kitchen, dining area, great room, and large lanai with outdoor kitchen. The large unbelievably comfortable couch in the great room are perfect for relaxing after a long day of fun in the sun! The great room is perfect for relaxing, playing games, listening to music on the sound-bar, watch the game, or relax with a movie on large UltraHD 4K TV.
The main floor lanai, equipped with BBQ, outdoor living room, and dining area is a perfect place to enjoy throughout the day. Each lanai is tastefully furnished for your comfort and enjoyment. Whether you're celebrating a birthday, anniversary, a new job, retirement, or simply celebrating the sunshine, our home is sure to create a great experience.

We love building really big sand castles !!! Kohala sand is exceptional for this and we have the tools for kids and adults alike. For your day at the beach, you'll find:

• Supplies and instructions how to build an amazing large sand castle with your kids.
• Large collection of snorkel gear in multiple sizes so you can share the wonders of the ocean
• Boogie boards to enjoy playing in the waves
• Life jackets swim belts for the younger ones
• Large wheeled cooler and Tupperware containers for your beach picnic
Enjoy our collection of bikes (adult, youth, and kids with helmets and locks) allowing you to explore the Mauna Lani resort. They are great for going to the Private Beach Club, exploring the Black Sand Beach, historical grounds, Fairmont resort hotel or the many other wonderful places that Mauna Lani has to offer. Staying in KaMilo gives you full access to its Recreation Center with fitness equipment and multiple hot tubs and lap pool, free form pool, and kiddie pool.

The host was welcoming
We greatly enjoyed our stay. Our only recommendation would be to provide more seating to accommodate a home that sleeps 10.While dining/eating was very adequate, relaxing, visiting, watching TV together was a little tough. Perhaps an L shape on the Lani would help. Other than that it was a lovely well appointed home. Thank you for your hospitality.
Our family of 5, plus both sets of grandparents (9 total) stayed for 8 days at Mauna Kea Sunrise. The home met or exceeded our expectations on every level. The layout is spacious with lots of outdoor areas. There were several places for our large group to gather, and also quiet spaces for each to get away when desired. The kitchen and dining area were well stocked for cooking meals. The garage had everything we needed for the beach (chairs and towels), snorkeling, biking, sand castles and also toys for the neighborhood pool/park. Great AC. We brought only one nightlight to help find bathrooms at night--we wish we brought 1 or 2 more. The beach pass and the daily resort passes worked great. We would definitely stay here again.
The listing was a bit misleading as the property says "Mauna Kea Sunrise" but is actually in the Mauna Lani resort area. My mother joined us thinking we were staying at Mauna Kea and booked a room at Mauna Kea, about ten minutes up the road. Besides that the house was perfect for our party of 9 people. The garage has everything you need for a day at the beach, and the house was beautiful! Great access to all the resort amenities, and even bikes for our older teens who wanted to ride to the beach club. that the house was perfect for our family!
We stayed 10 days. Beds were hard and uncomfortable. Same with pillows. There was no additional housekeeping available that we’ve had in other nearby communities . Parking was tight with 2 cars. Beach club was crowded
Amazing house in the beautiful Mauna Lani Resort area. We spent a week with 7 adults and 3 small children. Very short drive to an awesome beach club with kid and adult friendly beach the pools were a 5 min walk from the house. Fully equipped with everything we needed. Would strongly recommend this house for anyone! Additionally, the owners were incredibly responsive - I was able to ask questions via text leading up to and during our stay and received a response within minutes. They were very friendly and accommodating.
We have been to the Big Island many times. We have stayed at the Mauna Lani each time. This property was by far the best! They have every beach toy/amenity/ gadget you need. The house is spacious and well decorated. The kitchen had everything we needed for awesome family meals. We took nine people with us and everyone had plenty of room. Can’t recommend this place high enough. 10 stars!
What an amazing property. Really well stocked kitchen, beautiful lanai to enjoy meals on and a great community swimming pool and fitness area. Great proximity to Mauna Lani Beach!

We stayed here with our family during the holidays. The house is absolutely fantastic and incredibly well equipped. They have thought of everything from snorkeling equipment to coffee on arrival. Great location and great views. This is a great place to stay for a Hawaiian family vacation.
great location, amazing property, and responsive host - that’s the trifecta!
We stayed with four family couples and a 2 year old granddaughter. This is the best equipped, cleanest and well organized place we have ever stayed in. The Manager communication and assistance was exceptional. The property had absolutely everything you can imagine all in like new condition: highchair, crib, children’s utensils, baby monitor, every size of bike, helmet, locks, life jackets, masks, snorkels and fins, etc. etc. etc. kitchen supplies were amazing.
