It has 5 bedrooms, each with a private bath, the master suite enjoying complete privacy on its own floor. The lanai cantilevers out over the saltwater pool and lower level terrace offering breathtaking views of the golf course and ocean with dramatic nightly sunsets. For cooks there is an outdoor gas BBQ and wet bar, gourmet kitchen with 2 refrigerators, 2 dishwashers and ice maker. (For non-cooks there are several restaurants within minutes of the house.) The home is within the private gates of the Mauna Kea Resort and residential guests can access all amenities at the Mauna Kea and Hapuna Resorts by registering with the Mauna Kea and paying a daily fee.

House was outstanding. It was all that it was advertised to be. The house was outfitted more upon arrival than most places we have stayed. The property manager was excellent! Would stay there again and recommend it to anyone who is considering renting it for a stay on the Big Island.
Family stay at the Mauna Kea - such a treat! The house is fabulous, and the management team are excellent. The resort is going thru some renovations, but the beach and golf are top notch!
The house was well equipped and wonderfully air-conditioned in the bedrooms and kitchen area. The property manager checked in with us periodically which made it nice. She was super easy to work with! Overall it was a great experience.
We just completed our 3rd stay at this awesome home. The home accommodated our large group perfectly. My only complaint is that we didn’t stay longer!
The house was beautiful - accented by incredible African artwork and well appointed. Everything we needed was there - we catered several dinners and the Chef noted how well appointed the kitchen was to cook gourmet mealsThe property manager couldn't have been nicer or more accomodating. Beautiful place - only downside (if there is one) is you need a car to get down to the beach - the walk is too far.
It was a great house for a large family with enough separate spaces to accommodate everyone and have nice shared spaces.
It was amazing from beginning to end. Highly recommend adding hotel privileges. Only downside was that both resorts were doing remodels, but that really did not affect our stay. Beautiful home
Family trip to the Mauna Kea. Although the hotel is undergoing a major renovation and the golf course is closed, we still had a fantastic time! The home is perfect for our group and service from Linaya and Linda was awesome! Can't wait to re-book next year!
Our Family has just returned from a wonderful vacation in Mauna Kea Hawaii. Our VRBO rental was absolutely fantastic. The house was in exceptional condition and located was exceptional. None of us wanted to return home, and we would happily return to this property in the future.
