RK 317 Remodeled BeachFront Studio w Ocean Views AC

Permanent tenant caused multiple disturbances:(Police actually called!Unit clean, view great but wouldn’t chose this location again due to tenant issues.Also need a better way to get to the beach.Big sand bags everywhere and no easy pathway down.We have normally stayed at Napili outrigger and loved it.This unit was less expensive.We will pay the higher price next time.All and all great trip would just stay somewhere else next time :)

We very much enjoyed our stay at Royal Kahana. The room was clean and had everything needed for our 9 night stay. Parking was easy and convenient. The best part was the view. My husband and I soaked it in every day. This property is within short walking distance to a few restaurants which was nice. Also a very short walk to a nice beach for views/swimming. Would recommend and would stay here again. Mahalo!

One of the best places we have stayed at. It was clean, well stocked, had absolutely everything you would need. Absolutely would come back again. The only thing that was a bit annoying was the shower door isn’t long enough, so water would splash out on the floor. But overall everything was perfect.

Nice place in general, but needs upkeep. Patio door is off kilter - constant wind whistle when closed. A/C was not effective, did not cool. Retractable patio door shade track is coming out of the ceiling, so the shades easily slide off track. Ceiling fan has an annoying constant tick on speed 2. Bathroom is very tiny. With only a partial glass covering the shower, no matter how you aim the shower head, water sprays all over the floor, bath mat, and bathroom door! Messy. One shower light bulb flickering. Need more hooks and/or towel bars. Entry door is hard to open and is very loud, as the upper right side of door edge is split and catches. In the main traffic area between the kitchen and bed there is a piece of flooring with 2 chipped out corners that caught on socks and scratched feet. No pretty wall decor or decorative pillows, very drab accent quilt on bed. Couldn’t locate light switch for kitchen island lights until our last day. On the other hand, we had a great view, the pool and parking were nice, we appreciated beach chairs and towels and the cooler, we had enough room for 2 people except for the bathroom, washer and dryer was nice, hangers, basic supplies and kitchen were good. We enjoyed our stay, but we feel that only with a little more upkeep, maintenance, and attention to detail would it be a place we might consider again. The staff was amazing!!But, the room needs a new mattress as the current one is sagging badly on one side. The trash can could use replacement and the closet door needs repaired. Other than these few things, the room was great!I would recommend.

This was a wonderful experience. Host contacted us via Text with code for entry into the Studio. The Studio was very nice, updated bathroom and kitchen. Had a great view and were at the best angle to not get the strong winds we were getting in Maui. We walked the beach and came across a Monk Seal! there are only 10 on Maui, and are endangered. A volunteer was there to rope off the area and posted signs. So many Whales, too! Think this may become a yearly vacation.

Close walk to the beach, clean room, grocery store close by, helpful host, we loved our stay!

Beautiful beach view from bed! Patio was our favorites. Kutcher. Provided everything we need to cook meals for our choice. Definitely stay again!

We loved it! Great place for kids and adults. Beaches near by for infants and great cafes. The hotel team was very friendly and helpful.

I love my stay! The unit, and facility was great!

Room was smaller than appears in pictures. The A/C was not very cold room faces the West so in the afternoons it warmed up to 80 plus each day. Beach access is not direct , plan for a short hike.

The pool was in a great location and very clean. Easy to watch for sea turtles and whales. The room was very comfortable.

Nice view, convenient location and great value overall. The only issue we had was the wind noise. I've talked to other residents and it seems to be an issue with most of the units in the building. A quick tip for managing the wind noise - stick a pair of flipflops between the window screen and the door so it puts the pressure on the frame and seals the gap.

Good area, clean, full amenities, easy owners to work with. At a gtrat price. Beautiful views!

This property couldn’t be cleaner! Despite its age, the property is meticulous in every way! We loved the location and our room (317) was adorable— updated, meticulous, and everything we could have wanted, with a spectacular sunset view thrown in! We will definitely return to the RK if we have time (we’re 77)!

We ended up chosing this location after our original VRBO was cancelled after Hawaii governor extended emergency housing for Lahaina fire. We had never stayed in Napili and were pleasantly suprised with the area. The condo building is dated so our first impression was underwhelming BUT the room was updated. We had ocean views, but know there is no ocean access in front of the condo, it has sandbags out front instead. We had no issue with this as we could drive or walk to beach access. The pool area was also dated but we never had an issue getting chairs and we saw so many turtles and whales from the pool area. The room itself has an air fryer, drip coffee maker, fridge, stove/oven, dishwasher, and refrigerator. It also had a coffee grinder. Closet had 2 Tommy bahama backpack beach chairs and a small cooler. Washer and dryer are small, but work well. Room has AC, but we much preferred letting the crosswinds blow through the room and the you can just listen to the waves. The only issue we had was the hallway construction and structural concrete repair which included the use of a jackhammer. We would definitely stay here again. Btw-at time of this post it is eighteen a day for parking you pay for when you enter the building. There was plenty of available parking, to include covered parking under the condo. Also there are luggage carts inside the main entrance to the right which makes moving in and out super easy.

Great location, easy to access and close to everything we needed. Especially happy about the Beach House Happy Hour and SUP rentals. Pool is great, property is well maintained and our unit was really nicely updated with everything we needed. Oh yeah… and endless whale sightings from the lanaI! Will definitely be back!
