Mahana 717 - Central AC, Oceanfront, Two-Island Views!

This place is amazing! The host has thought of everything to make for a perfect stay, including information and details leading up to our arrival.The condo is true ocean-front: the views are exactly what you dream of. We watched two sea turtles separately lay eggs on the beach from the deck, and we were able to observe many whales breaching from the deck as well.We will definitely stay in this unit on future Maui trips!

The unit was extremely clean and well equipped. The host was incredibly proactive and responsive. Truly a jaw dropping view from every angle in the unit. Great location with walking distance to a solid grocery store and some cool low key restaurants along with the higher end beachfront restaurants like dukes. Highly recommend and looking forward to staying here sometime again in the future!

THe view from the the condo was amazing and decor was welcoming and comfortable. Love the blinds, blocks enough of the direct sunlight but still a lot of natural light.

The host was very welcoming, The property was very clean and well kept. The kitchen was fully stock with everything you need. They provide chairs to go to the beach along with pickleball paddles.

We stayed here for our 10-year anniversary and it was absolutely perfect. The condo is peaceful, with stunning ocean views and incredible sunsets right from the lanai. We loved starting each day with breakfast out there, and ending our evenings watching the sun go down—it was truly priceless.The location couldn’t be better—right on the beach, walking distance to Duke’s and other great restaurants, and close to amazing snorkeling spots. We had a rental car, but rarely needed it, and parking was never an issue.Inside, the condo was stocked with everything we could possibly need—beach chairs, snorkel gear, coolers, cookware, spices, even a rice maker! The bed was incredibly comfortable (one of the best we've ever slept in), and the A/C worked great, which was a must for my husband who’s a hot sleeper.Crystal and Jim left us a thoughtful gift of chocolate-covered mac nuts that were so tasty and appreciated. Their attention to detail and hospitality really made our stay special.We can't say enough good things about this place. It made our anniversary trip to Maui unforgettable. We’d return in a heartbeat!Mahalo!

Check-in was a breeze with the help of Karen at front desk. As we walked in, we saw the amazing view, which is exactly what we were looking for-right on the crystal clear water! We saw lots of turtles from the window. The place was very clean, kitchen had everything you needed, from spices to gadgets to pots and pans for cooking. Bed was super comfy, & the view from the bedroom was just as fantastic as the family room view! Bathroom provided full bottles of shampoo, body wash, & lotion. Laundry area was equipped with plenty of detergent pods & dryer sheets, which is not a common practice for any of the VRBOs I have ever been to. We did a few beach days & since there is no beach space at the Mahana resort big enough to layout at, we packed our Tommy Bahama chairs (4 are there for use), cooler (small or larger-provided in VRBO), & towels provided by the resort & walked about 5 minutes down to a bigger beach in front of Dukes restaurant. There are 3 decent places to eat by Dukes or we drove down to Whalers Village, which had more dining options & shopping. We did notice that the VRBOs location was less crowded & had very few families (kids)-seemed more like an adult chill area. Whalers Village, on the other hand, was very busy with the majority of families with kids. I might also add in the lobby, there was a "Lending Library" for readers to grab a book. We also used the gas grills outside & they were cleaned daily. VRBO owner Crystal was amazing and checked in with us day 2!

Absolutely perfect!! We had one of our best vacations ever staying in Crystal and Jim's beautiful oceanfront condo!! So many positive things (literally everything) but have to mention the ocean view, condo funishings, location, and of course, Crystal's personal, caring, and accessible contact. Check-in and check-out was seemless and simple. Had we known how wonderful and accommodating this trip has been, we would have stayed 2 weeks!! Thanks so much Crystal and Jim for everything and making our 35th Anniversary return to Maui so perfect!! We will be back and much sooner!!

Well furnished with everything you could need for your stay. Amazing views! We saw sea turtles swimming from the lanai. Crystal checked in on us on our stay to make sure everything was going well. Windows and lanai face west so you get great sunsets. I highly recommend this property.

My husband and I stayed for our one year anniversary/honeymoon and had a great time! The condo is clean and well maintained. It’s in a great location and we were able to easily walk to the grocery and other local restaurants. Loved seeing the turtles swim by everyday! Crystal was super responsive as well to any question/concern. Would stay again in a heartbeat!

We are VERY happy with our decision to stay here. So much better than a hotel.The expansive ocean view from the main room and lanai (where we ate many meals) is really stunning and surprisingly private. Easy access to beach and snorkeling. Quiet with updated furniture and decor with quality bedding and updated TV with all streaming apps. Very well appointed—plenty of gadgets and staples in the kitchen, and easy shopping nearby (though it’s Maui, so groceries are pricy). Unit owners are attentive and welcoming hosts and offered insights into local attractions. We would definitely stay here again the next time we’re in Maui.

From the time of booking, Jim and Crystal have been very communicative about anything and everything. Walking in the door, it was an immediate welcome into the condo woth music, waves and soft lighting. The condo is at the north end of Kaanapali beach, so it's easy access to everything without the crowds. The lanai is large and faces the ocean for front-row views of the sunsets and gentle sunrise colors.Our most favorite part: opening the lanai doors and letting the crashing waves lull us into complete relaxation.

Our first visit to Maui couldn't have been more magical, thanks to this perfect condo and its unbeatable location. Waking up to direct oceanfront views—where we were lucky enough to spot two whales and countless turtles from the lanai—was truly unforgettable. The Mahana resort, with its peaceful and intimate atmosphere, made for the ideal setting to celebrate our anniversary in tranquility. The condo had everything we needed, allowing us to enjoy leisurely breakfasts at home, accompanied by breathtaking views that never got old. We walked into the unit and were immediately greeted by whales splashing their aloha out in the channel. The unit is wonderful, great location. We’d love to return.

This condominium exceeded all of our expectations. The location on the north end of Kaanapali beach is wonderful, away from the more crowded and busier resorts. Food trucks are a couple-minute walk away, making for easy dinners on the lanai which provided unrivaled sunset views. Floor-to-ceiling windows in the family room and bedroom kept the ocean always in view. The sounds of waves breaking was a soothing way to sleep each night. A full kitchen and nearby grocery store make eating-in simple. Duke’s restaurant is just a few steps away on the beach boardwalk for a nice sit-down dinner. And the boardwalk extends all the way past Black Rock to the southern part of Kaanapali, making Whaler’s Village and easy 45-minute stroll. The condominium is the perfect place to stay on Maui.

This was our first trip to Maui and we could not have asked for a better location and experience then at the Mahana in Kaanapali. Every morning, we woke up to see whales breaching from the bedroom view. The condo had amazing views, was extremely clean, and very well appointed. The hosts, Crystal and Jim, have thought of everything that you would need to enjoy your stay in Maui and are very good at communicating with you during your stay. We will definitely be staying at this condo again.

This was our first time in Hawaii, and I must say that this condo could not have been any more perfect. The view was spectacular and the condo had absolutely everything you might need during your stay. The location was wonderful. The property had a lovely barbequing area right beside the pool and hot tub and the beach was only a few feet away. This property exceeded all my expectations. I can not say enough about our incredible stay at the Mahana. . Jim and Crystal have done a wonderful job! It's impossible to go wrong staying at this condo!

This has to be one of the nicest locations on Maui. The condo is ocean-facing with a clear 180 degree view, and the building is just a few dozen feet from the beach, if that.The condo is exactly as described. Quiet, clean and spacious.We hope to be able to stay in this unit again next year.

This property was everything it said it was and more! Walked in to a clean, comfortable, very well stocked, nicely decorated place. The view is unreal! Full windows and perfect lanai look out onto the most gorgeous view of the ocean! Jim and Crystal are great hosts and have literally thought of everything. Fully stocked unit made our stay so comfortable and convenient. They were so willing to help us out with any questions we had about Maui, local activities etc. Fast to respond and nice people. Crystal and Jim's gorgeous and very comfortable beachfront condo exceeded expectations. The location is ideal...close to all action, but private and peaceful. From the moment we walked in the views got us. It was absolutely beautiful with the ocean views. Our highlight was everyday around 3:00 the Sea turtles would show up and put on a show for us. They stayed for over and hour each day. The Condo itself was very well appointed with everything you would need. The chairs were a hit and the bed was very comfortable. Rented for the view and the condo delivered! We saw turtles, dolphins and gorgeous sunsets. Walking distance to hotels with restaurants, and a grocery store and other food options. Driving distance to other great restaurants and excursions. Condo was clean and comfy!! Wished there was a brita water filter since I enjoy filtered water. Just bought some water from the store across the street. Very appreciative there were beach chairs, an umbrella and snorkeling gear if we wanted to use it. Super happy overall.

We very much enjoyed our stay here. The balcony has amazing views, the windows throughout the apartment made everything brighter. The apartment was very well stocked as well. We would stay here again.

This was the fourth time we've stayed at the Mahana in various condo's and this was our favorite by far!!! We love the location right on the water and easy access to so many things! Communication with the owner was spot on and the condo was very clean. They provided so many amenities, everything you needed was there. I was impressed with their beach chairs, umbrella, etc. They were in great shape just like new. We spent three nights at Escape to Maui at the Aston Mahana in Ka'anapali, and our experience was absolutely wonderful. The condo was spotless and had a cozy, homey feel. The ocean view was breathtaking, complete with stunning Hawaiian palm trees, dolphins, and turtles. The lanai was spacious, equipped with a table, chairs, and a chaise lounge—perfect for enjoying the amazing sunsets. It does get a bit warm in the late afternoon, but the view more than makes up for it. The kitchen was well-stocked with everything we needed except fresh food, which was easy to pick up. The air conditioning was a must-have and kept the condo comfortably cool. The bed was extremely comfortable, ensuring we slept soundly every night. The condo was well-supplied with extra essentials like toilet paper, paper towels, and garbage bags. The closet was stocked with beach chairs, an umbrella, a cooler, and even a snorkel for guests to use. Evening entertainment options were plentiful, with a variety of books, DVDs, games, and puzzles. The condo itself was very spacious, and the welcome gift of Hawaiian chocolate-covered macadamia nuts was a thoughtful touch. The owners were exceptionally accommodating, allowing us an early check-in and late check-out upon request. The property features a heated pool and hot tub, though shade is limited. The location is ideal, right at the start of a boardwalk that leads to numerous dining options for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. We will be back!

Mahana 717 is perfect from the amazing views, to access to the boardwalk where you can get a bit to eat while watching the sunset, grabbing essentials from the local grocery store across the street, and getting in line at 7:00am for the best sweet rolls on the island just a short walk to Papi's Ohana’d! We have been traveling to Maui for 30 + years and have stayed at Mahana before. This unit was terrific. The owners are easy to work with and communication was top notch! The unit is nicely furnished but most importantly, comfortable. The kitchen has everything you will need. We heard from the owners during our stay just to check in how we were doing. We will be back and this our first choice of where to stay. No hesitation.

We travel frequently and stay at many different properties. We can honestly say that this property is by far and away the tops in every category. The communication from the owner is nearly immediate every time we reached out. Once you arrive you will be amazed at the large windows that overlook the ocean. We spent hours in the comfortable chairs by the windows watching the ocean waves, islands in the distant and sea turtles. The condo is the best equipped unit we’ve ever stayed in. They have thought of nearly everything. The property has an awesome pool that also overlooks the ocean and we spent a few hours playing pickleball. If we go back to Maui this will be the property we stay in.

We had the VERY good fortune of booking this listing last minute and we were both blown away by the cleanliness, completeness and true hosting that we were met with. Many vacation rentals feel impersonal and have lost the "local touch". NOT THIS ONE! From the moment you book the communication and recommendations are what I would expect from a 5 star property, and this is exactly that!

This was the perfect condo for a perfect vacation! The floor to ceiling windows were incredible. We could hear the ocean waves every night as we slept. During the day, it’s like the whales were performing a show just for us. We saw them completely breach and come fully out of the water. Better than any whale watching tour we’ve ever been on. And, we saw several sea turtles! So many great conveniences were provided including coolers, a snorkel set with mask, beach umbrella, beach chairs, kitchen essentials such as sandwich bags, plastic wrap, containers of all types, spices, etc. All of those things came in VERY handy! We definitely want to book another vacation in this condo!

This property is an absolute gem ! Crystal and Jim have taken such care and attention to detail in their condo . The kitchen has everything you need, spices, ice maker, utensils, all spot on . They have included shampoo and conditioner to the bathroom. Washer and dryer with detergent and softener. The view! Oh the view! So perfect! All the furnishings were comfortable and we really did not want to leave ! Thank you for sharing your slice of paradise! Can’t wait to come back !

We looked online at this condo and fell in love right away with the 2 white leather chairs in front of the floor to ceiling windows for viewing the entire ocean and 2 islands. This unit is filled with Hawaiian decor, is pristine in cleanliness and has every comfort of home for your enjoyment. Even a beautiful work desk that moves up and down for comfort; who even thinks of those things! We stayed for 6 weeks and loved this unit so much that we booked 4 more weeks next year; this will always be our home away from home. The owners are available 24/7 with any problem or question you may have and absolutely get back to you within minutes. And did I mention the views from this condo? Spectacular. Mahalo Crystal and Jim for the supply of coffee and chocolates and allowing us to stay in your beautiful condo.

The complex is in a great location and the condo exceeded our expectations. It was clean, spacious, and had everything we needed. The view is absolutely amazing from any where in the condo (living room, kitchen, bedroom, and the balcony). My husband and I sat on the balcony every morning and whale watched while enjoying our morning coffee. What a bonus! Looking forward to staying here again on our next trip to Maui!

This is where you want to stay! The condo is perfect for a Maui getaway! Views from this condo had us watching whales, dolphins, sea turtles and surfers. In a great location close to restaurants (dinners at the food trucks was great! We recommend the Thai truck!), grocery store across the street and the sandy beach was right outside. This place is a gem! We will definitely be back if in Maui again!!
