Notice: Beginning August 10 through September 30, 2026 (subject to change), guests may experience construction noise, heavy equipment activity, and intermittent canal bridge closures due to the resort's Phase 1 Seawall Repair Project. Work is scheduled Monday through Friday, generally 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some ocean-side rock restoration occurring as early as 6:00 AM until 7:00 PM depending on tide conditions.

One of Maui's popular vacation spots, Papakea is a peaceful Hawaiian Style low rise resort situated on 13 acres right on the ocean just a short walk to north Kaanapali Beach. The lushly landscaped grounds are immaculately maintained and adorned with red ginger and red palms. At dusk, every evening, the magical twinkling tiki lights are lit and reflect on the Koi ponds through-out the property. Papakea's location is as good as it gets! Within minutes, an easy walk to Duke's, shopping center, Farmers Market, coffee shops, sandy beaches, snorkeling and surfing.
Canal Repair Project Notice:
Papakea Resort will undergo a canal repair project from December 17, 2025 through mid-September 2026. Work will take place Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Guests may experience significant construction noise during these hours. Equipment and materials will be staged along the canal, resulting in limited parking in some areas. Holiday work is not expected.

We loved the property,
I don't even know where to start!This condo is so beautiful and has everything you would need from cooking to games. The beds are so comfortable. The condo decor and attention to detail was outstanding. So peaceful an easy walk to the beaches, ABC store, food trucks, coffee. We went as a family of four which included two small children the ground level and pool and ponds were perfect! Everyone was very welcoming and was happy to have visitors back in west Maui!
Wonderfully upgraded unit in perfect location. Well stocked kitchen, linens, towels. Exceptionally clean. Comfortable beds, pillows, and air conditioning! 10/10 highly recommend!
Very beautiful condo that looks newly remodeled everything is new and comfortable Anything you need is available I loved all the unique decor touches And because we had our 2 kids I loved the washer and dryer new and super size Linens and towels also comfy soft and good quality Mattress in bedroom is Posturepedic and sofa pull out is new modern and extremely comfy We left it open to lay on to watch movies on the huge tv Papakea is also Gorgeous you can hear the ocean and see the ocean from the patio the pool is warm I have nothing but great things to say I hate to say how wonderful this condo is because I don't want The calendar to fill up!
Our original condo was canceled due to circumstances outside of the control of My Perfect Stays, however they were incredibly helpful when it came to rebooking last minute. Papakea J106 is clean, well stocked with everything you may need and not just beautifully decorated, but practical. We have two young boys and used the pullout couch nightly, it was very comfortable and easy to operate. Papakea's grounds are stunning and we absolutely loved being on ground level for our kiddos to be able to explore the ponds, get some extra energy out or for easy access to the pool or beach. My Perfect Stays had excellent customer service, we wouldn't hesitate to book this unit with them again. Thank you, again!

We were here for a week and everything about the property was amazing! The unit is updated with a very nice well-stocked kitchen and charming decorations throughout. It had everything needed for our vacation!
Normally I would not write a review unless it's good. I felt the need here only because of the lack of compassion for me and my family. The property was beautiful and the location was great. The room seamed super bougie at first. After just a few hours of being there we saw a few roaches running on the kitchen counters. Later there were tons. We had to relocate and there is nothing available on the island so we had to squeeze with family for 10 days. Also the couch bed was terrible. The Manager was very nice in trying to work through the issues. However, they tried to charge a cleaning fee. We were very displaced and I feel we should have been paid for all the inconvenience. I had to throw out several groceries and they didn't offer to pay for. I will not stay here again. It's sad because it looks like they just had bought this property and put alot of money in it to rent it out. I think if the roaches are eradicated it will be an amazing stay.
