Beautiful unit and wonderful view. Quiet and private. Very well equipped kitchen - one could cook anything, Important to us as we are health-conscious eaters. The abundance of containers was welcome, and the rice cooker worked perfectly. One really gets the sense that the owners are a nice family who put real care and attention into making the unit a great getaway for their family and others. Well done and thank you :-)If there's any (very modest) room for improvements, it would be a refresh of the beach equipment and perhaps a better bed downstairs. The beach gear worked but some pieces are near the end of their lifespan. This is a small quibble as they tend to get handled rough and tradewinds can crush the most well-prepared umbrella.The kids seemed to struggle a little to sleep in the downstairs bed as well. They found it a little uncomfortable in ways that were challenging to troubleshoot and eventually one kid preferred to sleep on the couch. The bed is not as high-end as the upstairs bed. The pillows are also quite high, making them good for side sleepers but requiring some fiddling to make them work for us. This said, these are things any seasoned traveller could live with, and on balance, the place was simply outstanding. I have been travelling to South Maui off-and-on since 1985 and this is hands-down the best bang-for-your-buck unit in town. One final note: This unit may is not for people with mobility issues. There's a fight of stairs and no elevator.
We had a wonderful stay! This unit was perfect – comfortable, well-equipped, and full of thoughtful details like the charming patio fountain. We can't wait to return!
