Modern, fully updated spotless condo with a great view of the beach. Everything is modern, from the stainless appliance package to the commercial sized washer and dryer, Egyptian cotton beach towels and super high quality linens. Two large bedrooms and two full baths. Over 1000 square feet of open, airy space.

-Completely Updated: Our unit is kept in excellent shape, all aspects are new or replaced on a regular basis. We don't have 10 year old mattresses or ancient pans, we keep it new and fresh.

-South Maui Gardens shares a property line with our building. It is a fantastic installation...nightly entertainment, beautiful grounds, 15 eating establishments.

Every time we enter our condo, we are struck by how beautiful the view is. One wall of the living room is entirely made of glass, and the light fills the whole space. The lanai is over 16 feet wide and provides a great space to hang out, watch the waves and surfers, and enjoy the tropical weather.
We recently installed a $15k sliding glass door unit even though the old unit functioned fine. The update is just part of our commitment to make sure our guests have a great experience. I am so happy with this change. The difference the insulated, double pane glass made was huge. Very energy efficient and so quiet. There are only 12 units in all of the building with these doors. I wouldn't stay in a unit without them.
We have furnished our condo to be modern and comfortable. You will find full sized couch and chairs, two king sized beds, tons of storage, large closets. The kitchen is outfitted with a new whirlpool appliance suite including microwave, dishwasher, self cleaning glass topped range and refrigerator with ice maker. We even have special outlets that have USB chargers built into them. The kitchen is outfitted with top quality pans, knives and small appliances.
Free WiFi. A large flat screen TV in the living room and another flat screen in one bedroom.
Island Surf is in a great central location. Immediately to the north is a area the locals call 'The Triangle'. It has a lot of shops and scores of restaurants and night spots. Across the street is Kalama Park, offering playgrounds, roller hockey, volleyball, surfing, stand up paddle boarding, kayaking and wide open spaces to play catch or just hang on the grass. You can watch your friends and family play in the surf right from the front room.
A short drive to the south puts you in the heart of Wailea with upscale dining, shopping and more wonderful beaches.
Island Surf houses many great businesses. Massage, small grocery store, sushi restaurant , Pacific Whale Foundation...many great businesses are directly downstairs.
There is a pool and BBQ area on the second floor, both with ocean views.

Island Surf Building is entirely NON SMOKING. Owners and guests are not allowed to smoke in units, on walkways, on Lanais or in common areas. There is one very small designated smoking area in a corner of the back parking lot. Quite honestly, if there is a smoker or vaper in your party, this is not a good fit for your vacation. My advice would be to seek other accommodations. Anyone found smoking in a restricted area is subject to a significant fine.

Also, this building is zoned business and resort use. You may have heard of some condos being rezoned and no longer available for tourist use...we are not impacted by that. We have always been zoned for resort use.
Beware of owners not providing their tax number, often they are scams or not licensed. If you are looking at a rental that does not provide their number, they are probably operating illegally. Please be careful, the state is enforcing these and you may find yourself without a place to stay when you arrive. The host is very welcoming. The apartment had all the amenities needed for a beach vacation. The views are beautiful and it's walking distance to anything needed.
Matt and Colleen have a truly wonderful place to come and relax. Very responsive to any questions and the condo was wonderful with amazing view of the ocean. It was also in a great area within walking distance to a lot of activities. Would most definitely stay again!
The stay from start to finish was amazing. Before we even arrived Matt, our host, was already looking for ways to make us more comfortable. Matt is far and beyond one of the best. The property itself is clean, modern, and close to a lot of amenities. I could not recommend this location more!
The unit was very nice and we really enjoyed our stay. We had one problem that was an inconvenience but was corrected as soon as the owner could get someone to fix it.
Great unit!! The whole wall glass window is just amazing. We love walking to the park for sunrise and sunset. Host Matt was great. Would highly recommend!!
The view was to die for. The hosts thought of everything you could possibly need from the chairs, the snorkels, the umbrellas, beach towels and chairs. The beds were extremely comfortable. Rent this unit and you won’t be disappointed! They have A/C but we didn’t need to use it. The ceiling fans kept us plenty cool.
Perfect Host, Perfect Location, Perfect Accommodations!
The unit is very nice. Matt was extremely helpful. I have stayed at this complex many times. This one by far had the best AC, Washer and dryer also extremely quiet. Everything you need for the stay is already there. We bought bottled water and nothing else. The food trucks behind the complex are amazing. I would highly recommended Kohola Brewing in Wailea. Charlie Young Beach is probably our favorite. We see turtles every time we go.
Highly recommend! Excellent condition, well maintained unit that’s conveniently located and it provided me with a safe feel. Couldn’t ask for a better stay. Easy access to the Highway, beaches and shopping. Matt is very responsive and gave clear instructions on parking, house rules and how to get around. Would definitely stay here again next time I’m in Maui!!

The place was fantastic for our quick stay in Kihei. It’s located within walking distance of the beach, tons of food trucks, and more. The place has a well appointed kitchen, lots of towels, and beach stuff. Matt gave great suggestions for us as first timers to Hawaii. I’m sorry we couldn’t stay longer.
We all loved this place- it was spacious for 3 adults and had everything we needed. Location is excellent- we enjoyed watching surf classes from our living room and balcony. South Maui Gardens right next door was our hangout for delicious meals and live music. Supermarket and other needs are easily walkable.The host is responsive and helpful. Overall a great place to stay!

This was our third stay in the building. All three were different VRBO units. This is the best one. This is a great Kihei location. The unit is large, clean, well maintained. No complaints.
Our family had a great time at the condo in Kihei. The rooms were spacious, the place had everything you need for cooking and the beach (minus life jackets but those were easy to rent). The location was perfect and within walking distance of tons of restaurants, shops, and the ocean. I would definitely recommend this place and if we're ever in the area again would happily stay there.

Matt and Colleen are awesome hosts. Great location! The description/pictures of the rental are all on point. I was wondering about the noise from the street, and there were no issues at all. We were able to walk to Foodland and we also tried some of the food trucks right next to the complex. Will definitely stay again! "A hui hou"!
I have to start off by saying WOW. Matt was an amazing host. He always replied back to me very quickly. He provided great recommendations. His unit was so nice and clean and had anything you would need while on vacation. We loved the view and location this unit provided. We will definitely be returning.
Matt & Colleen were on top of communications, very detailed and prompt. Came here a decade ago as two couples, came back here last week as a fam with a 6yo and 3yo. I gave this place 5 stars back then, and with the improvements, it's even better now. Place is clean, kid-friendly, came with everything including beach gear, coolers, etc. and everything you'd need in a kitchen. We used the AC / ceiling fan combo, alternately or as needed and found it to be more than adequate for April weather in Maui. We also used the dishwasher, washerdryer. Everything worked flawlessly. Balcony view faces a surf shop behind which is the ocean. And to the left you can see Haleakala! Last but not least, location!! Superclose to beaches, parks, restaurants. Easy parking in the back but also walking distance to places, esp helpful if you don't have a car.

Very nice condo and stocked well of kitchen supplies. Made it easy to go to Costco for food and eat home sometimes! Lots of food choices within walking distance too! Central to drive to different beaches and activities! Love looking out the window at the water and beginner surfers. Would stay here again!

This was a large, clean apartment with great facilities and in a nice area for easy access to the beach and local shops and restaurants. Easy access to other areas of the island and airport. Fantastic communication with host who was very patient with our questions!
The flat is in a very nice area of Kihei, with shops/ restaurants/ beaches only a short walk away. The flat is very spacious, very clean with lots of extra amenities that make our stay very comfortable. Highly recommend especially for family with young children. Matt is very responsive.
