We provide a light, locally inspired continental breakfast often including homemade banana bread, fresh local fruit, and on select days yogurt or smoothie bowls with local granola. At times, we may also feature favorite nearby restaurants. Each room is also stocked with coffee and tea for you to prepare and enjoy at your own pace. Please note that we may not be able to accommodate all dietary restrictions.

All rooms have refrigerators, coffee makers, coffee, and private bathrooms stocked with quality hotel-style towels, hair dryer, toilet paper, tissues, beach towels, and premium tropical scented shampoo, conditioner, soap, and lotion (vegan • cruelty, paraben & sulfite free • made in the US).
The Maui Beach House Bed & Breakfast has an all new look. Come experience our home with vibrant pops of color, nods to Hawaiian history & culture, and artwork created by local artists. It is located in the Kahana/Napili area on Lower Honoapi’ilani Road between Kaanapali and Kapalua in West Maui

Security Deposit - A $500 security deposit hold will be placed on your credit card and will be released within three (3) days after checkout, as long as no damage occurs during your stay. Mahalo for helping us care for the home.

Beaches - Beach conditions in Hawaii change naturally throughout the year. Weather, ocean swells, currents, and tides can all affect the size and shape of the shoreline from month to month.
Critters - Maui’s tropical environment means you may hear the occasional rooster or see friendly geckos. Geckos are harmless, helpful insect-eaters, and in Hawaii are considered a sign of good luck and bad luck to hurt them so please don’t hurt them. This home receives regular professional pest control services, however, in tropical environments pests can be unavoidable. You may see pests such as ants, roaches, or rodents from time to time. If you encounter pests, please notify us promptly and we will do our best to reduce them whenever possible which may also include coordination with the resort AOAO. Encounters with these tropical critters, whether inside or outside the home, do not constitute a breach of our agreement and do not qualify for refunds or rental adjustments.
Neighbors - The surrounding areas may not always be quiet or free from activity such as construction, traffic, or other guests. Any noise or inconvenience does not constitute a breach of our agreement and does not qualify for refunds or rental adjustments. However, if you experience any disturbance, please notify us promptly and we will do our best to help mitigate or reduce the impact whenever possible. We appreciate your understanding.
Utilities - Island infrastructure can occasionally experience disruptions to services such as water, electricity, air conditioning, plumbing, cable, and internet. We will always do our best to assist, support, and help reduce the impact of any interruption you may experience during your stay. Please understand that interruptions caused by factors outside our control do not qualify for refunds or rental adjustments, and we are not responsible for any loss or damage to personal items resulting from weather or natural events. The property managers, Spencer and Sara, were quick on communication and super friendly! The breakfasts they provided were sweet and delicious! Beds were comfortable and there was enough space for our party of 6 adults. The property is right across from a lovely small cove for swimming and only 1000 ft away is a sandy stretch of secluded beach where we saw huge sea turtles! The nearby plaza (3-4 minute drive) has multiple restaurants and a well stocked grocery. We recommend a rental car. Parking is easy on premise. Drawbacks: the property is tightly monitored for energy use and we felt the owner who lives above the listing was closely watching our energy consumption and AC usage, which seemed excessive based on the price point. The lights in the lounge are set on a timer so if you are sitting to eat, play games or converse, they turn off frequently (same for fan settings). Owner was also wary of people using the main trash bin so we had to wait for the property managers to remove the trash daily which felt unnecessary. Only some of the rooms have a TV and there is no TV in the lounge/lobby which is the communal space.There is no drying rack for wet towels or bathing suits outside of the towel rack in the bathroom. There are only 2 patio chairs to enjoy the gorgeous view of the sea from the front yard. A huge plus would have been some beach chairs to utilize as well. We understand that this listing is fairly new for Surf Shack so kinks are still being ironed out. Mahalo!
