We absolutely loved this cozy cabin in Anahola! The shower is wonderful, the full kitchen is super thoughtfully designed and appointed, and the bedroom and desk were perfect for our working vacation. Thanks to Diana for her hospitality and we are grateful that we could say hello to Waiwai and Coco on our walks to Anahola beach.
Great place!
Kind host, lovely outdoor shower, comfortable stay that was both off the beaten path and really well located to get to all the places we wanted to explore could not have asked for a better place to spend a few days on the island! The palm tree grove, blooming orchids everywhere, and beach within walking distance (20 min) were highlights
All of the above. Loved it!
This cabin is a hidden gem!! I would highly recommend staying here! It will not disappoint.
really cool cabin with a nice layout. Perfect for a couple's getaway. We really loved the private hot outdoor shower, and the kitchen nearby but not right in the bedroom. Location was also great. Easy drive to Kapaa or up north to Hanalei area.
The location was beautifully private. The kitchen had everything I needed and the whole cottage was well stocked for living, and the beach. The bed was comfortable, and the sheets were super soft. This place was ideal for my solo retreat, relaxing and warm. I enjoyed many slow mornings sipping coffee on the porch, and enjoying the sunshine in the afternoon. Driving to anywhere on the island is easy from this location, and beautiful spots are all around. I can't wait to visit again!
This was a peaceful accommodation surrounded by nature on a farm I enjoyed competing with the wild chickens for fallen mangoes and chilling on the front porch the host was also very friendly Excellent
Love our stay! The cabin was just perfect. Diana was so great, prompt to response and giving us clear directions. Iyt was definitely a slice of paradise. I love the beautiful huge yard/garden with clear view to the King Kong mountain, can never get tired of it. Love the sound of birds & chickens . I already miss the mango trees, they are so sweet! I wish I can stay longer, and hope to come back. Thank You Diana for sharing such a lovely place to your guests :)
I absolutely loved my stay! This is the only place I will stay for any future visits! This was the most peaceful and beautiful spot I’ve ever seen and my host was the best and sweetest human! With much love from Texas!!
The cabin was cozy, clean, and welcoming. Bedding was spotless. Beautiful property with great fruit trees. Kind and thoughtful hostess. It got very hot inside during the day, worth mentioning. Also shower water was very cool, so if it had been colder that may have been a little uncomfortable. Great relaxing location! And very private.
What beautiful land! Mahinani's farm was the perfect stay for our first time Kauai. The beauty of Anahola and having Kalalea Mountain at our doorstep left us grounded every morning. Diane set the space up perfectly and made our check-in and check-out process as smooth as possible. My partner and I would wake up with big smiles on our faces with the morning chorus of chickens and roosters. Can't recommend this stay enough
Excellent location & property. Loved our stay.
Awesome place to stay! Nice and quiet right in the middle of nature! Definitely would book again!
we very much enjoyed our stay - it was peaceful and beautiful and warm and welcoming.
Great place to stay. It was close by a lot of our activities we had planned. The close walk to the beach was a bonus to us.
We loved the peacefulness! The coconuts trees swaying, the mango trees, the geckos, outdoor shower and absolutely adorable kitchenette and porch! The porch by far was ourFavorite spot! The chickens were everywhere and we had our own standoff with the resident rooster who thought we lived being serenaded at 2 and 4…we agreed to his song as long as it wasn’t under the bedroom window and he complied! The goats from the neighbors goat yoga greeted us we came and went making us feel special. The art work in the cabin is amazing . The bed and linens were perfect! If you are looking for a true taste of Kauai without the tourist vibe this is your spot! We hated to leave!!!Kassie and Chris WaibelMahalo Diane! Appreciate you and your space!
We stayed for five nights and the accommodations were great. Directions to get there were fabulous with a map! Cabin was great for the 2 of us, plenty of room, bed was comfortable, kitchen had all we needed to cook breakfast everyday. The outdoor shower is a Hawaiian staple and very fun. They also included a washer and laundry line which was great for handling salty swimwear.I will definitely stay here again.
Amazing stay…magical cabin in paradise
Beautiful, cozy, clean, quiet. Exactly what I needed for my stay.
Most tranquil and relaxing stay. The host, Diana was wonderful and had every detail covered. We can't wait to be back.
Yep, there's a reason this little cabin has such good reviews. It's AWESOME! Beautiful property in a convenient location for exploring the island. It had everything we needed, and felt so private and secluded. We loved the outdoor shower. Definitely remember to bring earplugs for the roosters and bug spray for the mosquitos. We enjoyed watching the anoles and geckos. We would 100% stay here again. Thank you so much Diana!
We really enjoyed our stay at the cottage. It was cozy, comfortable, and clean. The location was peaceful and secluded, but not too far from town. The cottage had everything we needed, and Diana welcomed us upon check-in. We will definitely be back!
This is an amazing and relaxing location to explore all the island has to offer. Within 10-15min drive to restaurants and grocery stores. The unit even comes with a cooler, and beach chairs. Also if you enjoy yoga there is a place next door. Would book again if my travels lead me back to Kauai.
We were looking for a place off the beaten path and this cottage was perfect! Great for catching the sunrise on the east side of the island!
Stayed here while visiting family also on the island. It was perfect for my needs- only really here to sleep and shower. It's too far from amenities and too far from the beach to be a main jumping off point. Road was a little daunting driving rental car though.
It was a nice quiet property!
We had a wonderful stay on the beautiful property! The place was very thoughtfully designed for a studio and had everything we needed. The outdoor shower with orchids was a highlight of each day after coming home! The porch was perfect to sit on and drink our morning coffee and plan our day. The bed was very comfortable and we enjoyed sleeping with the windows open and the fans blowing, it was very airy and peaceful feeling. The roosters (wild all over the island) are insane and crow throughout the night so if you are a sensitive sleeper I would recommend ear plugs and/or some sort of sleep aid. I am so happy we stayed here and will definitely return when I can! Thank you!!
Weather was bad and the power was off and they were accommodating to make our trip comfortable
We absolutely loved Diana’s place! Quiet & simple. Very beautiful! Host was very pleasant and accommodating during our stay. Very memorable
We absolutely loved our stay, property was private, neat, clean and all we wanted. Diana was so informative, had everything easy to communicate with and so very helpful. I could not say enough about how wonderful this property is!
We enjoyed being at the farm after a week in Poipu. Did need earplugs to sleep as there was a rooster that like to sound off outside the window around 3 AM. You'll want some bug spray as there are mosquitos. They didn't bother me all that much but my wife sufffered a bit. The bed was comfortable and we made breakfast every morning in the kitchen. We also enjoyed the outdoor shower. I would stay again but not sure I could convince my wife.
It was exactly as advertised - quirky, quaint and quiet. We loved the outdoor shower and the bed was comfortable. It was a very central location. We might even miss the roosters.
Us nature folks loved this property -- it was clean, had a lovely outdoor shower, and Diana was great to work with. I would come back in an instant and stay for as long as possible.
My husband and I spent 7 nights at the Anahola Cabin the 3rd week of October. It was SO different from the other 2 places we stayed on this trip. You knew you were in Hawaii, for sure! It was a good location for the outings we did and a nice beach was not far from the cabin. We loved the front porch! Great for morning breakfast, reading, listening to the evening rain and enjoying cocktails. The kitchen set up was great. We really appreciated the "beach supplies". No need to set your alarm, the roosters took care of that! The bed was very comfy and the outside shower was awesome! We really enjoyed our stay!
Property was beautiful and just as described. Diana was helpful and friendly and so were her 2 dogs. Her property was nestled away on her farm in among trees and bushes, very private and quite.,except for the roosters, lol. This was our first time to Kauai and we couldn't be happier that we picked her place. The location was perfect for exploring the island. The cabin was clean and just as described. Can't wait to come back and visit again.
Beautiful venue! Only wish we had more time to relax in the cabin rather then driving around.
Such a charming cottage. It was the perfect base to explore the island during the day, come home and take a hot shower OUTSIDE, then relax on the front porch with a good book for the rest of the evening! Diana was a delight and made sure I had everything I needed.
Perfect Hawaiian experience
My wife and I really enjoyed our stay here. It was in a location that made us feel more like locals than tourists; it is a simple place but nice! If you are looking for a resort type vibe this is not your place, but if you want a quaint little cabin feel that is close to nature (geckos, bugs, and dropping coconuts included), you won’t regret staying here! Diana was a great host and replied to questions quickly. Highly recommended!
This property was amazing, just what we were looking for and more. Awesome sitting porch, outdoor shower, beach gear, and super comfy bed and linens. Owners provide that extra touch that make it so special. Thanks so much for having us Diana!
I wasn't interested in staying in the typical tourist area. This cabin gives you the peace one might seek on a trip to the island. It has everything you need! It’s next to a Goat Yoga business, which was a bonus. Diana is an excellent host. I wish I could buy this place from her!
I’m so glad we chose to stay here instead of a resort or an apartment. The cabin is in a private area, you will have your personal space at the same time as being close to beaches, stores, and food. We had such a magical time here and will definitely stay again if we decide to take another trip to Kauai. This cabin will have a special place in my heart as we made so many memories here. Coffee and slow dancing on the porch each morning, showering outside surrounded by orchids and palm trees and cute colorful geckos eating the bugs for us, dinner on the porch, watching Jurassic park and cast away on our laptop on the porch, taking walks and lounging in privacy in the beautiful yard. It’s truly magical. Also, beach chairs, an umbrellas, snorkel gear, and a cooler was provided and available to use and saved us on our beach days! There was a washer and appliances to cook. It was perfect and one of my favorite parts about our vacation.
We had a wonderful stay at the Anahola Studio Cabin! We had just spent time in the frenetic city of Honolulu on the island of Oahu before arriving on Kauai and were so relieved to stay at a quiet and laid back VRBO. If we find ourselves ever traveling back to Kauai we would definitely book this lovely and peaceful cabin.
Wonderful and peaceful cabin with great amenities!
Property was as described! Everything we needed was included (including for beach trips) at the property. Diana was very kind and communicative, especially during an unexpected island-wide power outage. Overall would stay again during our next Kauai trip!
My fiancé and I absolutely adored this property. Perfectly outdoorsy, and incredibly peaceful. The house is beyond adorable and well equipped with everything you need to go to the beach (beach chairs, beach towels, chairs, umbrella, cooler, etc.). Could not recommend this place enough!
Cute little cabin, quiet and remote yet not too far from anywhere you want to go. Loved it 😍
We arrived at the property to see the property owner’s daughter picking Plumeria to make a lei. That’s my first vision of paradise. We drove up the hill and around to our little paradise. A beautiful cabin with a porch overlooking and surrounded by mango trees, palm trees, orchids, and yes many Plumeria (my favorite flower in the world) trees in beautiful colors of white, pink and yellow, pink, yellow and and and! I showered outside with orchids peeking over the wall. Looking at tho other side I could see many mangos in the trees surrounding it.
Very nice cozy cottage. Away from the hustle and bustle of the crowds. We loved the property and all it's beautiful scenery and flowers blooming. Very rustic! Would definitely recommend and if ever back in Kauai would stay here again.
Mahinani’s studio cabin nestled in nature is an absolute gem! Surrounded by lush greenery and serene landscapes, it's the perfect retreat for anyone seeking peace and tranquility. The studio's amenities are just what you need with an awesome outdoor shower, AC (didn’t need it), a beautiful lanai and a kitchenette. The hosts are incredibly welcoming and attentive, ensuring a seamless and memorable stay. I highly recommend this haven for anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle of city life and reconnect with the beauty of the great outdoors on Kaua’i. P.S. We absolutely loved our visit from WaiWai and Coco
Diana is a lovely host, and I have always received such a warm greeting, and this was my third visit. It's great to stay on an Hawaiian farm, and feel like a local, and not in a busy resort. Though my husband doesn't travel with me, I feel very safe by myself. Outdoor shower is a highlight with the Studio Cabin. The tall palm trees and green plants and flowering bushes are well established and lush. We are lucky that Diana shares her land. As a nature-loving Canadian, this is Paradise. I plan on booking next year for September. Mahalo Diana, Wendy (solo Senior) Vancouver Island, Canada April 2024
Perfect if you prefer a non-resort experience. I would come back here again and again. Great location with amazing views of Mt. Kalalea. Lovely walk from the cottage to beautiful empty beach. Good amount of space for 2 people. We loved being on Diana’s beautiful farm amongst the flora and fauna. Market down the street has everything you need, Kalalea Juice Hale is so good for breakfast. We really appreciated the beach gear. Host was readily available but we didn’t need a thing.
If you’re a nature lover who likes to have plenty of privacy in the jungle, this place is for you! Everything you need for the beach is provided too!
One must be able to appreciate nature. This is a unique, bit rustic, little cabin. We loved, loved, loved it. Would stay again with no questions.
A beautiful rustic cottage on a farm. With Its own outdoor lanai, bedroom, kitchenette, bathroom with an outdoor shower. There was a fridge, sink, microwave, toaster oven, & individual hot plate plus basic serving dishes. Also a charcoal bbq grill but, you have to go purchase briquettes (we left a bag of them for the next guests.) Had all we needed for a wonderful private stay.
The cabin was an ideal spot for a week on Kaua’i. Great location, tranquil, cozy. Thank you, Diana!
I had an amazing stay on this beautiful property. So glad I found this hidden gem. Very quiet and safe. I hope to return for many years to come whenever I visit Kaua’i. Diana was friendly and very responsive. The location is perfect for those who want to explore both sides of the island. The outdoor shower is divine, and the bed is very comfortable. Highly recommend for anyone who is looking to experience a slice of the real Kaua’i away from the resorts and more touristy areas.
We truly enjoyed our stay at this cute & quant cabin, and felt that it was easier to "live aloha" by experiencing a little taste of life on a farm surrounded by beautiful plants, tall coconut trees, plush green grass, colorful flowers, plentiful chickens, and even a kitty that would come check on us every day. The roosters encouraged us to get an early start every day, and it would've been nice to set their crowing clocks back a couple of hours...but nothing that some airpods can't help with. lol The bed was comfortable, and there was ample room in the bathroom to leave open two large suitcases. The luggage racks provided allowed us to slide shoes under them as well. Insturctions were simple and easy to follow. Communication was great. We would not hesitate to stay here again. Loved it!
Beautiful, peaceful, and quiet!
