Beautiful and comfortable home that had all we needed to share good family times. Fully stocked kitchen, comfortable sleeping space for all. Pool was awesome fun for kids and I did laps most days. Hot thub felt wonderful. Plenty of beach and pool toys. We had a wonderful time and staying here made that happen. A few steps to the pool, a 5 min walk to beach and so much to see and do nearby

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The condo was absolutely beautiful and very clean. The grounds and pool were lovely. The condo was stocked with everything you need to cook and go to the beach. Easy walk to a great beach with turtles. Highly recommend.

The condo was beautiful! It was spacious and we were provided with everything we needed for a great vacation. We loved having beach chairs, coolers and beach towels provided.

This was a great place to stay while we spent 10 days in Kauai with our teenagers. The space is roomy and updated. Location is ideal! Super easy walk down to the beaches in either direction on the greenway path. We especially like the ground floor option for easy of just getting out to the beach. The large patio was filled with all the beach going gear. The pool and hot tub was used a lot at night when we were done with our adventures for the day. The kitchen was well appointed and have just about everything we needed to cook, plus the pool grill were great too.

Absolutely loved our stay! The property was clean, comfortable, and well equipped with everything we needed. The location was perfect, and the host responsive and friendly. We had a fantastic time and would definitely stay here again!

Great location and wonderful villa. Gym was closed for the duration of stay. Easy walk to the beach, really appreciated the wagon and beach gear (inc. toys, chairs, pool noodles, cooler, boogie board and more!) Well appointed kitchen although the non-stick pans are getting worn. Would absolutely stay again, highly recommend!

Everything was excellent from booking to checking out. Property owner really went all out on the amenities of this condo. We especially liked the well appointed kitchen with every thing we needed. We also really liked having a washer and dryer to use. The Lanai was great and had all the ocean gear to use. The master bath was amazing! I cannot say enough about our stay here. I cannot wait to come back and stay here again.

Check in was easy. Location to beaches and a few restaurants was excellent. We used the green belt for hikes/running. Lots of room for 6 adults (2 couples, 2 other adults) to sleep, eat, and relax. Unit supplied with everything we’d want plus lots of extras (like sandwich bags, beach equipment, lint roller, aloe, etc). Only downside was there isn’t assigned parking and there were a few times we took the last spot with someone trying to come in behind us. Would definitely stay here again!

We made this place our home for 16 nights! It was clean, comfortable, well equipped kitchen the location is fantastic as it is in the corner of building C which means your patio is not facing the pool. We loved being able to get up have breakfast and walk down to Poipu beach the accommodations, amenities and location made this place ideal. It is for families with kids we enjoyed the pool the green lawn where my boys kicked the soccer ball while we grilled. The BBQ’s were spotless they keep the grounds impeccably clean. I used their business center and gym I felt I was at a resort while having the comforts of home. We made several friends during our 2 plus weeks there. I appreciated how responsive Stephen was and the assistance received from Kat during our stay. This vacation for our family was one we will never forget. God willing we will be back soon. Thank you.

My family and I had a wonderful stay at this beautiful property. It exceeded our expectations and can't wait to come back again!

Upon arrival condo was clean. But quickly found all furniture and all beds were extremely uncomfortable and very old! The primary bedroom king bed literally sounded and felt as if it would collapse at any time, and the noise from just sitting on the mattress could be heard throughout condo. The beds are in need of new mattresses and entire condo in desperate need of new furniture. The dining table chairs smelled so bad and felt dirty when sitting on them. The dishwasher leaked, the washer and dryer would not start at times. The smoke detector did go off periodically during visit and in the middle of night but then would stop so when the maintenance guy came it wasn’t beeping then. Then of course started right after he left again after changing batteries. Overall the whole condo needs refurbished. I’m sure when it was built it was very nice, but you can tell the condo has not been kept up and maintenance only minimally done. The location is lovely, and the complex is very nice. Although the key fob for the pool is strange as you can’t get out of pool area without key fob to let yourself out and no bathroom facilities at pool so it was constant getting up to allow other guests in your party to get out or get in. Kauai always beautiful, but can not recommend this particular condo and would not stay here again.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed this lovely and comfortable home. This unit is on the end of the building on the ground level. This allows the visitors to experience the beautifully landscaped grounds when sitting on the lanai.We all enjoyed the beautiful pool which is perfect for young and old. You will not be disappointed in choosing this home at the Villas of Poipu Kai!

Little use of car. Walking distance to beach, tennis/pickleball courts and pool. Enjoyed every meal in w/family. Wonderful outdoor seating area. Would stay here again!

This villa has it all - perfect location, layout, and amenities. thoughtful support throughout our stay. Spectacular Beaches, pool: hot tub, pickleball/ tennis, high end dining, casual dining.. all within walking distance. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets every day. We’ve had the good fortune of staying many different places in Hawaii and this location and villa is by far our favorite. This home is magical place to unwind and make family memories.

We loved the villa- it was gorgeous. And we were so happy to be within walking distance to the beach. The host was super responsive and accommodating. We really appreciated that! We’ll definitely be back.

We loved our stay at Poipu Kai and would book again in a heartbeat! The grounds are stunning with lots of paths to explore. The house was airy, beautiful, and a great place to gather while exploring the island. The bathroom is Spa-Like and immaculate. We loved the living room windows that open completely so that the interior space merges with the outdoor patio if desired. Great central location for exploring South Kauai. We wish we could have stayed longer!

Three couples shared this wonderful condo. We loved the walkability to Poipu Beach and turtles, as well as the excellent food in Koloa Town, just a few minutes away by car. Condo and facilities were at least as good as, if not better than, the pics and description. Highly reccomend.

I splurged and brought my 2 adult children and my 11yo and 6yo granddaughters on their 1st Hawaiian vacation, and I'm so glad I picked this vacation rental to stay in! This place is beautiful and everything the listing said it was. Just a short walk to the beach, where we could see the sea turtles every night. 2 good restaurants within walking distance, and one of them has a great view of the ocean. The owner is super responsive to any questions and getting into the unit upon arrival is super easy. I will stay here every time I visit Kauai!

This condo was very nice. We found that the location of this place was very good and a very short walk to the beach. The kitchen was very well stocked with all kinds of spices. The only improvement to this place is that all the window shades need to be replaced. They are really in bad shape and do not do justice the the quality of the condo. This is the reason I gave this condo only 3 stars and not the 5. I would stay here again and I hope I get the chance to do so soon.

This was the second time that my husband & I stayed here. First was 2 years ago w/ 3 friends, & this time w/ my parents & grandmother. We obviously enjoyed it enough to come back. Location is perfect for quick AM walks to watch the sunrise at one beach, then quick evening walks down to another beach for the sunset. The host provides a great wagon that you can pack up w/ chairs & towels & a cooler to spend a few hours at the beach every day, which was exactly what we had wanted to do on this trip. I will say that I wish that there were more than 4 beach chairs for a house that says it can accommodate 8 people. The a/c seemed to be having some issues halfway through our stay (80° in the condo), but I contacted the host & they took care of it right away, which was greatly appreciated. (I think there must have been an issue w/ the a/c all over the property b/c it was a sweatbox in the fitness center that day too, but seemed to be working fine the next time we went back.) There are some updates & improvements that could be made: -instructions for how to use the vacuum system, which we were never able to figure out -knobs on bathroom sink came completely off -bathtub knobs are loose -the couch has seen better days -baking sheet would be nice, rather than the disposable one that I had to reuse a couple of times a day every day, as we cooked almost all of our meals -the cords on the shades in the bedroom were broken All in all, a great place. Just needs updates.

We had 3 couples and our 8 year old daughter stay for a week and had plenty of room. Lots of towels provided and tons of beach toys and items available to use was great. Stephen and Michael were very timely in responding and we really enjoyed the location. We would return!

The property was beautiful and the condo was immaculate and perfect for our short 2 day stay. A great location and although we didn’t have enough time to enjoy all of the amenities available our stay was very enjoyable. Thank you Stephen for hosting our stay here in Kauai.

The location of the villa was perfect. It was easy to walk to the beach and convenient to both Koala and Poipu. The house was stocked with everything you would need. The set up was ideal for our family of 6 with plenty of space for everyone. Our family really enjoyed our stay! Thank you so much.

Pros: all of the beds are so comfortable, better than our own, all six of us said this, the sunsets from the lanai are incredible, spacious refrigerator, plenty of dishware, great knives. Wonderful assortment of ocean play things, chairs and wagon. Cons: would have been nice to have more than one roll of toilet paper for our 13 day stay, patio chairs are rusting out and quite wobbly, maybe time to replace lanai furniture? Maybe consolidate the TV remotes down to one by programming differently? You know us 'white hairs' have trouble with technology, lol! Please note: check in process only got 4 stars, because we did not understand the locking mechanism, however, one of the other couples just installed that same door lock on their home and showed the rest of us how to open it, lol!

Lovely place, stocked with toys for all family members!

Had extended family plus family friend stay at this rental. Very fully furnished and loaded. Lots of kitchen utensils, just spread out over the many drawers. Included leftover spices from previous rentals, which was a big plus. Look over what they have before heading out to the grocery store. AC was pre-programmed and kept at a icy 70-73 degrees, which made some members of the trip very happy. Contact with owner prior to arriving made the check-in very easy. Easy walk to the beaches and nearby places to eat. Would stay her again.

Large 3 bedroom condo with pool, jacuzzi on sight which we used daily after our beach outings. Our grandsons loved the pool which has shallow end for 20 months old. It took us awhile to figure out that the speed control was backwards: 1 was high speed and 4 was low speed, also has central AC, walking distance to Poipu beach for easy beach access and watching sunset to end your day. Didn’t have a rice cooker which meant we had to resort to old fashioned way of cooking on the stove, overall a great Kauai experience.

This property is an ideal location. The entire family enjoyed the pool, lanai and short walk to the beach. We are hoping to be able to come back soon.

This property was unbelievable. So much space for 7 of us. The place was clean. Inside and out. The complex crews were very polite and busy cleaning the property and keeping up on the landscaping. The unit has everything you would need. The beach is litteraly right down the walking path. We saw sea turtles on the beach and in the water. Plus, a hawaiian monk seal on the beach. The area was in a perfect location. We would definitely stay there again. Thank you for such an amazing stay.

We found this to be a very central location to visit all the island has to offer

We had a dream stay at this house. My children said "Wow! This feels like a place we could live in forever". It is really well stocked, important for people like us who are dietarily-restricted and need to cook, and has ample bath and pool towels, also important for this active family. Other things to note: It is also immaculately clean, very spacious (we are from Texas so this is no small feat!), has lots of pool/beach related items so we didn't need to bring all of our stuff with us. Of utmost importance, Stephen was highly communicative, kind and receptive; we are so grateful. We will definitely DEFINITELY 100% stay here again. Thank you!

This is a very spacious and comfortable home. Love all The amenities they have to offer. In addition it’s a short walk to the beach. Anybody staying here would be pleasantly happy with their stay.

6 of us really enjoyed this property. Nice to have 3 full bathrooms for each couple. Location was a quick walk to the beach. I loved my morning coffee on the covered porch. The first level was great for a quick walk to the BBQ, pool and gym. The noise upstairs was noticed but not too bad. The kitchen was well stocked with spices and all you need. Couldn’t find a cookie sheet but everything else you could imagine. Beds were comfortable. Nice furniture for everyone to sit at. 6 tops inside and out. The sun shades one of the master bedrooms needed fixing/replacing. We would definitely come back. Loved this property

In short, I won’t rent here again, nor do I recommend it. The pros: Clean, some games & books, kitchen well stocked. Great beach supplies, location & pool. The cons: fob to pool didn’t work, this issue was never resolved. Lanai furniture is so rusted some chair legs have crumbled apart. Many windows would not lock - being a 1st floor unit & having small kids this was a major security issue. I brought this to Stephen; in summary he said, ‘the island is safe, most people leave windows open. I’m planning to replace them for aesthetic reasons not security concerns. If you’re concerned I’ll refund you to stay elsewhere.’ Finding a new place sounded massively inconvenient but having functional windows & a secure unit is of the utmost importance. I asked him to clarify what he would refund (assuming full refund minus cleaning fee since finding another place last minute would be expensive & the unit did not meet a basic/necessary requirement of being secured). He responded saying the on island reps would come by with window locks. Not until a plumbing issue upstairs (not his fault) did he make good on his offer to refund our remaining 4 nights. I asked for a 5-night refund since the leak kept us up late & kept my husband & I from plans to celebrate our 10th anniversary. The refund came through amounting to 4.7 nights. Overall, unit is fine (assuming windows & lanai furniture get replaced), I’m sure the many great reviews come from people who didn’t have to resolve any issues.

LOCATION and overall size of this condo made it a perfect spot for our family anniversary celebration. Having the pool close by and the beach within walking distance was just what we wanted. Easy access to the walking path to head to the Poipu/Brennecke beach area or in the other direction to watch the morning sunsets. The condo was clean but the furniture is definitely showing it's age and is not exactly the same as in the photos. There is no working screen on the patio door and we did have a bird fly in occasionally - fortunately no bugs or geckos. The windows do not lock and are difficult or impossible to open or close - we very rarely used the air conditioning. Just the small addition of a broom/dustpan would be beneficial (as well as a small rug outside the patio door) as the dust buster was broken. The kitchen is stocked OK but a plastic beverage pitcher would be a great addition. The beach wagon has had a lot of use but we used it, with some difficulty, to pack up for the day. The beach towels aren't true beach towels - just additional bath towels and hard to dry! Being on the lower level, we did experience some noise from the upstairs neighbors but that's an unpredictable point. All in all, we gave this condo a five star rating because of it's LOCATION - perfect walking distance to what we used the most and enough room for our family of 7.

Property very relaxing and livable. Master bedroom sheets could use an update, but couldn’t think of anything else that could have been better.
