The Space:

This unit has a private, direct, open-air entrance minimizing your contact with others. There is only ONE parking space allocated for this unit. During the day you may use the driveway for loading/offloading a car or a golf-cart. Extended parking during the day and all overnight parking for the ONE vehicle, per resort community rules, is only allowed in the designated complex parking lot across the way from the unit (about 30 feet away). Please fill out and hang the pink slip provided at the unit on the vehicle's mirror when parking. Blank pink slips and further instructions are in the unit next to the guest book. Please do not leave your golf-cart or car overnight in the driveway or for an extended period of time.

Mauna Lani Fairways #905 is a luxurious townhome featuring 3 bedrooms with a blend of modernity and tropical elegance, equipped with first-class appliance and beautifully designed tropical furniture. The property is within walking distance of the stunning Fairmont Orchid Resort and a private beach club, as well as a swimming pool, all set amidst world-class golf courses, spas, tennis courts, and a fitness center. Mauna Lani Fairway is a gated community with 126 town homes spread over 20 acres on the Kohala Coast of the Big island of Hawaii nestled within the beautiful Mauna Lani Resort on the m H. Brown North Golf Course.

The community amenities include a large pavilion, a swimming pool with a lava waterfall, a spa, and state of the art exercise room.

The Fairways at Mauna Lani is a conveniently situated between the Fairmont Orchid Hotel and the luxurios Mauna Lani Bay Hotel & Bungalows, offer the finest Hawaiian Living.

We had a ten day trip with our adult children and their partners. This place was amazing - just short of perfect. The property is clean, private, quiet and serene. We have no real complaints - our stay was easy, we were comfortable and all of the tools, equipment and toys included with the rental made things so convenient. The kitchen is stocked with many of the things you really dont want to buy on vacation, the BBQ and outdoor kitchen is fabulous, and the storage locker is full of goodies for your daytime adventures. The pool in the townhouse complex is convenient and was rarely busy. It is an easy walk to the nearby grocery store and there are restaurants and a coffee shop in the complex. The townhouse is much closer to the Fairmont hotel than the Auberge hotel at Mauna Lani - if you go for meals at Auberge you'll probably want to drive. The beach club is quite a long walk (or a run), so you need to drive if you are bringing gear. We preferred the black sand beach (which you will pass on the road to the beach club) - it is public but attendance is limited to the number of parking spots so it is like a private beach. We had a lot of fun snorkeling, swimming and hanging out there. The location is good for trips into Kona and across the island to Hilo for activities - highways are easy to access. You will not be disappointed with OluOlu!

Arlene and Jay were incredible from the moment we arrived. They checked in daily, sent restaurant recommendations, directed us to medical care when we had a minor injury and ever dropped off a bottle of bubbly to ease the recovery! Condo was comfortable, clean and roomy. Walking distance to grocery and shops and a quick drive to the beach club. Can’t wait to return. Thank you!

Outstanding location and space. Accurately described. Well-stocked to start your stay. Very clean. This is our 3rd time staying here on the Big Island (total of 6 party, with an additional 4 of my family staying in another unit) in Mauna Lani, with this trip being the 2nd time in Fairways. The Big Island is our favorite island and all of the amenities that this unit and the resort in general has were perfect. We did have one issue with the parking and charging of a golf cart that our family rented for the duration of our trip. The Fairways Homeowners Association site manager was quite animated in that we can only park one vehicle (either our rental car or the golf cart) in one of the parking spots. There were many open parking spots daily—we were not preventing anyone from parking. The golf cart rental company (Kohala Beach Buggies) was very surprised that this happened given the long record of them renting to guests at the Fairways. The site manager was rude and intrusive during our stay (at one point he drove his golf cart to the rear private patio of our unit during an early morning breakfast and approached my wife [dressed only in her nightgown], elderly mother in law, and myself, but, thankfully, our hosts that manage the unit quickly and effectively intervened and corrected the situation. They really knocked it out of the park with how they handled the situation—kudos to them. This situation could’ve derailed our trip a bit but thanks to them all was well.

Beautiful and well maintained property. Short walk to local shops and restaurants. We really enjoyed using the beach club access as well. Definitely would return in the future.

The house was well stocked and well kept. We had all the amenities we needed and more. The cupboards were full of items left behind by past renters and it helped alot. We added to the supplies as well. Great location. Beach club beach was beautiful! It was paradise!!

We split our stay between the Orchid and this 3br condo at the fairways. Easy walk to grocery and to the Orchid. We rented a car at the Orchid and drove to Kona, Hilo, etc. The condo was perfect for me, my wife and our 2 adult kids and their significant others. Easy walk to pool and pool was not crowded. Literally nothing to be improved upon. We had a great stay!

We’ve stayed in this complex before and knew we loved it! This unit was an awesome location, quick access to the pool and a fantastic view from the lanai. Love these townhouses for our rambunctious family-rooms are all separate and quiet, plenty of space for everyone. Just the perfect jumping off spot for all of our favorites on the Big Island. Mahalo Jay for another fantastic stay!

If I had to nitpick, for us, the two single beds in one of the bedrooms was not great and having only two showers took some juggling. The pool in the townhouse complex is convenient and was rarely busy. It is an easy walk to the nearby grocery store and there are restaurants and a coffee shop in the complex. The townhouse is much closer to the Fairmont hotel than the Auberge hotel at Mauna Lani - if you go for meals at Auberge you’ll probably want to drive. We loved this property and thought it was better than the listing depicts! They have TONS of beach toys, hats, gear and even bikes accessible to guests. Great for kids and families. They even brought in a baby gate and cribs to accommodate our small children. The location was ideal for families with the beach and pool so close. We thought this was the most beautiful part of the Island. Would definitely recommend and stay here again!

Very peaceful, private home in an upscale, gated community. Tremendous value for the location, space and amenities offered! We did take advantage of the beach access a couple of times, but primarily spent our vacation exploring the island and the delicious cuisine at the nearby restaurants. The home was clean and well maintained. The property manager was very responsive at every step of the way. We hope to book the Olu Olu home again in the future! Mahalo for your hospitality!

This rental was absolutely awesome. It was beautifully furnished and provided so many “extras” we couldn’t believe it. The kitchen cabinets were stocked with seasonings, cooking spray ect. Drawers had foil, baggies and Tupperware. Bathrooms had body wash, shampoo and a closet stacked with extra towels. The primary closet had tons of extra pillows and blankets. The laundry room was fully stocked with laundry soap and a basket full of beach towels. Our biggest surprise was a supply closet outside with bikes, beach chairs, a cooler even a surfboard! The pool area was beautiful and steps away from the unit. The best amenity by far was access to the private beach club. We spent 4 of our 7 days there. Highly recommend this exquisite property.

The unit is fantastic! It's like aToll House property - 12' ceilings on the first floor. All of the amenities are spot on. Please note: The unit is 2.5 bathrooms, not three, so you have two showers, 3 toilets. Jay is fantastic, responds to the phone when you call, and was willing to run a second parking pass right over to us (we had two cars!). You cannot beat that type of response. The pool is great (exceptional really). The location is as good as you can get without staying in the Fairmont Orchid, or the Mauna Lani. This unit comes with a Mauna Lani Club beach pass, and that is a must for convenience and getting to a sandy beach close by. I give this unit 5 stars!
