Property Overview
We are very saddened by the devastation and loss of life in Lahaina.
Our condo is NOT IN Lahaina, we are 6 miles from it. Thankfully since we are not close to Lahaina, our condo, complex, and all surrounding areas are in the same pristine condition as it always has been.
Imagine staying within a few feet of the waters edge. Fall asleep and wake up to the sound of the ocean right below your lanai!
Relax as you enjoy the incredible ocean panorama in this spacious 1680 sf. large luxury two bedroom, two bath, beach front condominium. Almost double the size of most Maui condos. Spectacular sunsets, whale watching, and awesome views of Lanai and Molokai can be seen from the master bedroom, living room, kitchen, and outside lanai. This third floor location gives the feeling that you are literally on the beach yet high enough to enjoy the panoramic view. This location also provides a walkable 2 floors to the beach, pools, restaurant, and all the amenities. (just in case you want to get a little exercise) or take the elevator.
Our Sands of Kahana condo was renovated including AIR CONDITIONING throughout the entire unit with controls in each room.
BEWARE many condos do not have air-conditioning, Maui can be hot!!
The kitchen is complete with all cookware (even a bread maker) and dishes needed to prepare any meal. Sixteen outside BBQ's (cleaned daily) are also available to use. The stainless steel appliances are all new including dishwasher, stove, oven, microwave, refrigerator with filtered water and ice.. There also is a full size washer and dryer, free WiFi, cable TV in each bedroom.
A huge 50 inch screen in the living room and all these amenities are included to make this a comfortable and relaxing stay.
The condo can sleep up to seven guests. The master has a Cal King-size bed, second bedroom has two queen beds and the living room has a queen size sleeper sofa. The beds all have new luxury mattresses with plush comfort toppers, new down pillows with special protective covers over the mattresses and pillows for hygienic purposes. All the sheets and bedding are new high end fabrics.
A highchair and Pac-N-Play are provided for the little ones.
The master bedroom has a direct ocean vista with sliding glass doors that allow gentle breezes and soothing sounds of the waves lapping on the beach to lull you to sleep. The master bedroom also has sliding wood doors to the living room that can be closed for privacy or opened to give a very spacious and free flowing feel to the entire condominium.
Sit on your spacious lanai, have a refreshing drink and forget all your cares!
On site is a casual restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch, dinner and daily Happy Hour, also enjoy a drink at the companion full bar.
The new owner just renovated the restaurant to 'Captain Jacks' previously in Lahaina.
Your stay also includes all the features the Sands of Kahana has to offer; ocean front swimming pool, kids pool, hot tub, two well equipped fitness rooms, 16 beach level gas BBQ's, lighted tennis and pickleball courts (pickle balls and rackets available for your use), putting green, basketball, covered parking(included). The complex has 24 hour security and 24 hour front desk so that you may checkin very late if needed.

Enjoy paddle boarding, kayaking, and surfing which are available to rent at the activity shack on site. The calm waters of Kahana beach are great for for swimmers and children.
I provide beach toys, water wings, tubes, etc. for the kids. I also provide multiple fins, masks, snorkels, beach towels, umbrellas, cooler and Maui Jim beach chairs. I even provide a cart to haul your stuff to our beach or one of the many other beautiful beaches on Maui.
I provide everything to have a wonderful Maui vacation, all you need to bring is your toothbrush, tee shirts and shorts!
This quiet Sands of Kahana Resort is a perfect spot to relax and unwind.
Shops and restaurants are conveniently located across the street and you are within a short drive to many of Maui's top restaurants and attractions. Whalers Village is only a five minute drive, and has multiple excellent restaurants, shops and art galleries.
Play some golf? both Kaanapali and Kapalua golf courses are within a five minute drive from your location. Many more beautiful courses are within a forty minute drive.

Great location! Easy check in/out. We enjoyed our stay!
The location was convenient, but there were several issues during our stay. We noticed cockroaches in the room as well as insects in the pantry, where some food items were expired.The bathroom also had a problem with the toilet flush — it only worked in one direction, otherwise the water kept running.Overall, the cleanliness and upkeep need serious improvement.
Fabulous stay! Excellent location and great resort. The unit is beautifully appointed with all the amenities needed for a wonderful family vacation in west Maui. Highly recommend staying here and we will definitely be back!
The condo was extremely clean, fresh, updated and comfortable!! Check in was very easy and the staff are very welcoming. The view was incredible and only being on the 3rd floor was convenient for the stairs. We didn’t always want to wait for the elevator! We stepped outside and went for 4 mile walks in each direction in the mornings, explored the island and returned each day for beach and pool time. The kitchen is fully stocked. We shopped at the Times for groceries daily and had bbq for dinner every night. Bbqing with a cocktail and ocean view is dreamy!! We packed light so having a washing machine and dryer was so great! AC was amazing! We loved it and will return!

I can’t say enough about this beautiful condo, the pictures do not do it justice! It was so spacious, clean and beautifully decorated. The kitchen was well stocked and the beds were comfortable. It has everything a family could need. The view was awesome with many whales, spinner dolphins and turtles. The location was central and the beach was wonderful. The locker of beach chairs and toys was an added bonus. Thank you for the wonderful stay!!

Wonderful stay. Incredible views and large unit which live up to the photos. Perfect for our family. There were some minor plumbing issues when we arrived, but James was incredible responsive and addressed them immediately. Would stay again!
John was a fantastic host during our pre-Christmas trip to Maui. The condo was a stone's throw from the beach/ocean and the Kahana location made it easy to navigate the island. We will be staying at John's place again in the near future.
We had a really nice week at the sands. The condo was fully stocked and had everything we needed. We can’t wait to come back!
We enjoyed walking and the fun stores and shops nearby. The beach was nice, but not as good for snorkeling as we had hoped. We are used to Baby Beach which is currently closed and has no onshore break. The property was large and had a wonderful view. We were in the unit a lot because of the 1 year old. We loved the kiddie pool even though a couple of oldies staked out a desirable shady corner for themselves. The depth was perfect from 6” to 3’. The property was clean and nicely furnished. The kitchen had almost anything we needed for cooking. Some of the supplies like toilet paper, paper towels, laundry pods and dishwashing detergent ran out and we had to purchase more. I’m sure that this is because we stayed longer than most guests. The host was friendly and responsive. It’s really all that you can ask. Kahana Sands is a fairly old resort. I would say 1970’s. Maintenance could be better. The restaurant is being remodeled and was not open while we were there. There are, however an abundance of options for dining. The unit was the perfect size for our our party of 4 adults and a one year old.
We would definitely choose this condo again. It slept our family of 6 very well and it also lives very big during the day with the master bedroom wall open. The storage locker full of beach gear also made our beach days more fun without spending any more money on rentals or purchases.
This property far exceeded my expectations. The condo was clean and well stocked with everything needed. The host is very communicative and provided a lot of detail needed for our trip. I highly recommend booking this property!
We had a wonderful stay. The condo was equipped with everything you could need from laundry detergent to boogie boards. The sunset each night was unbelievable as you are right on the beach with an unobstructed view. The beach was calm and good for children; we even saw a sea turtle. Overall, we found the condo to be great and John was highly communicative and a wonderful host.
We really enjoyed our stay at this condo! It is beautiful decorated and updated, well stocked with all the necessities, as well as use of their beach toys/chairs/boogie boards. The view is breathtaking and having A/C was a huge plus since many of the condos do not. We can’t wait to go back!

Ocean views were stunning!. Giant turtles on our beach the first day and rainbows every morning. Truly on the beach! Great Beach House restaurant and on-site amenities. Our teenaged grand children truly enjoyed their stay. The water in front of the condo is calm this time of year for easy swimming. Aloha.
Amazing views from master bedroom and lanai! Perfect views of sunsets, sea turtles, rainbows and whales. Beds were comfortable and condo is outfitted with everything we needed. Enjoyed the ability to grab a bite to eat or drink at the Beach House. John was great and easy to communicate with. Highly recommend!
Kahana Sands was a very good choice for a Maui vacation with so many amenities such as a pool, restaurant and sandy beachfront. The unit (235) that we booked was open and airy with a good sized balcony for outdoor dining as it has a full kitchen for cooking if desired. The property maintains several outdoor grills for your use which was a big plus. The onsite restaurant overlooks the pool and has several flat screen TVs which was fun for viewing the football playoff games while enjoying cocktails and nachos! The frozen drinks were excellent. Napili Market is a good sized grocery store just 2 miles up the road. Shopping at Whalers Village and dining on Kaanapali Beach just a short ride away was convenient. The Ritz Carlton in Kapalua is 5 minutes away and offers more upscale dining as well as a luau. Kahana Sands is a good choice for families and groups if you don’t mind all of the kids. Honeymooners and couples might want some place quieter. Our owner was very responsive to any questions we had and I would not hesitate to return to this resort and book it again.
