When you want to explore the incredible lush nature that makes Kauai so famous, you’re just a few minutes’ drive from state parks, forest reserves, and wilderness areas. Shops, restaurants, grocery stores, and other amenities are just down the street at the Coconut Marketplace.
At the condo itself, spend time relaxing on the balcony with coffee each morning, then slide the French doors open to let the trade winds come inside. Modern designer-style furnishings, an open layout, and abundant natural light make the space live large. The sleek, modern kitchen features a full suite of stainless steel appliance, and there’s plenty of room to grab a bite together at the breakfast bar or back outside on the balcony.
After a day on the sand, toss any laundry in the private washer/dryer for a quick refresh, then mix a sundowner at the wet bar before heading back outside. Entertainment options inside include two TVs, free cable, and WiFi, but the best show of the evening will be the stars rising over the water. Both serene bedrooms offer a restful night’s sleep, with lucky guests of the primary bedroom enjoying direct balcony access.

Amazing place to stay in a quiet complex. The view was just gorgeous and we loved listening to the waves every night. We made sure to keep the house closed up when we left for the day (shutters included) to keep it cool. The portable AC units worked great. The kitchen had everything we needed and the cooler and beach chairs came in handy! It’s walking distance to Coconut Marketplace and Lava Lava Beach Club as well as Passion Bakery (yummy malasadas).
I will start off by saying we have stayed in other units on this property for over 25 years. This unit was a last minute choice and the only unit available here during time period we needed. Photos are accurate in their description. We had lots of ants in the kitchen and living room. Kind of creepy when you are trying to read a book, and you feel something crawling on you in the living room. Same when trying to cook breakfast. We also had cockroaches in the dishwasher when we opened it. The unit still had the warning taped to the door about fumigation a week before we arrived. The fumigators may have done a poor job. We are familiar with living in the tropics, but we haven’t had the same issue in the other units here. That said, still a stunning view and quiet property. There was nothing the property manager or host could have done to remedy in short order, but the VRBO fees are excessive,
The AC did not work properly. Texted management and was told to try this and that. Did not work. 4 oscillating fans in closets was a bad sign. Upon arrival unit looked clean. However into our 2nd day we found bugs and roaches in the kitchen drawers. We left 2 days early and booked the rest of our stay in a hotel. Very disappointed. Never heard back from anyone about the issues after the second contact.
We’ve stayed in Hawaii often. This is by far the most well maintained property we’ve stayed at. Most of the buildings in this area were built in the 80s and the units often show it. The beach area is great, and the small 18 unit facility is intimate and easy to make friends without feeling like you’re at a large resort. The place has only recently been rented out. There are some minor places that shows, but not deal breakers. There aren’t any board games and limited toys. The unit hasnt had time to accumulate left behind purchases from others. All of the rooms have lockable doors from the inside. So if you’re traveling with children they can lock themselves in. The doors can be unlocked from the outside with a small flathead screwdriver but none are available at the unit. There is also only one pool key which means if you’re a family it’s nots possible to split into groups and go to the beach and pool separately. The manager refuses to provide a second key. The one thing making this a 4 star and not a 5 star listing is communication with the property manager. This unit is managed by Vacasa, a large corporation. When you call for support you’re talking with a call center in India. They open a ticket for you, but don’t know anything about the unit or locale other than what is in their database. They WILL NOT give you contact information for the local team. This was a $9k rental for us, and the lack of support and unwillingness to provide a second pool key was surprising.

We loved the location and the view from the condo! It was very clean and very well stocked. Our only disappointment was the A/C in the 2nd bedroom wasn't working and we didn't get any clear communication from the property manager. Final they offered to look at it on the last day of our stay and gave us a credit for the trouble. We would have give it a 5 star if this would have been disclosed originally and if the property management company would have been better to work with.
