This 2 BR 2 bath second floor luxury condominium is located in The Uplands of the Mauna Kea Resort and is accessed through the Westin Hapuna Beach Resort entrance drive, but is recessed from the bustle of the hotels. The condo’s Great Room, lanai, and master bedroom all overlook the 4th fairway of the Westin Hapuna Beach Golf Course and have amazing, expansive, unobstructed views of the Pacific Ocean.

- Rental includes the option to purchase an amenity package pass to the Mauna Kea and Westin Hapuna Beach resorts. This pass allows access for your group to the resort swimming pools and to their amazing white sand beaches, with complimentary towels, chairs, and umbrellas (rental of cabanas and some beach equipment is available for a fee). The pass includes the use of the resort fitness center including lockers and showers, and gated parking at the hotels and fitness centers. Amenity package holders are allowed special guest rates at the resort golf courses and at the Mauna Kea Tennis Club. A resort charging privilege account is set up for these pass holders that allows signing privileges throughout the resorts during the stay.
Please note that the resort amenity package purchase is optional and is separate from the VRBO condo rental. It must be arranged with the resort ahead of arrival at the condo and has a per day fee per condo for the length of the condo rental, regardless of the number of guests. Note all fees are plus tax and are subject to change at the resort's discretion. Guests without the amenity package can visit the shops and restaurants at the resorts and pay full price for the golf, etc. Note that all beaches on the island are public and free with limited public beach parking at the resorts.
The Mauna Kea Resort has undergone major renovation in 2025 and the golf course in 2024. The Hapuna course was renovated in 2025.

Great location, we had a lot of family staying at the Mauna Kea and this was the perfect spot with still a beautiful view
Great place. Our host was very helpful when we had a quick question. The porch view really was wonderful. The pictures do not do the place justice!
Disappointed no grill to use on property.Needs better pans for cooking. non stick pans are pretty worn out
Location, view and quality of property were fantastic. Could not have picked a better spot for quite restful location. Even that we were on a golf course, that still did not take away from solitude. West side of Island the driest side of island, but sunsets and moonsets , was more than an offset. Short drive to most anything we needed and good drives to mountains, ranches, volcano and dining. Absolutely would re-book.
We had a wonderful stay. It was conveniently located close to our favorite beach. The place was clean, comfortable and exactly like the pictures online. Bob was an excellent host.

Unit Needs updating and a deep clean. Grill really needs cleaning. Had a very amazing fire while using it. Spare bath toilet handle sticks. A tea pot would be useful. As always, Bob was super kind and helpful. T
Wow! The pictures do not do this unit justice. The ocean views over the beautiful golf course are spectacular. Bob was super responsive, and the kitchen was high end and well-stocked. The pool is quiet but nice-we paid for the amenity package and went to the Mauna Kea every day. Impressed to at how well stocked the condo was, felt more like a home than a rental. Can’t wait to return! Thank you for an amazing trip.

I have stayed at many of the units in Wai ula ula and kumulani. This has been my favorite. Bob is a great host and the condo is beautifully furnished and extremely well equipped. Would 1000% stay here again. Thanks Bob!
We had traveled for ten days on Oahu and Maui before our stay at this condo on the Big Island, and we were thrilled that this was our home base for our final week in Hawaii. The condo is in a gorgeous location with unforgettable views. It has everything you could want in a vacation home. The furnishings are clean and comfortable. We purchased the amenities package and truly enjoyed using the two resorts’ facilities. We also used the neighborhood pool, which we had to ourselves! One note - we struggled to figure out the TV but rarely used it so not a big deal.
Everything you would want in a vacation residence was here. Beautiful views, clean and fresh furniture / furnishings, and every need you can imagine was taken care of. We’ve done several vacation rentals and this was by far the best to make you feel at home and comfortable.
