Location is great. Very quiet and peaceful. Beverly was very helpful with arrival directions. No complaints about anything.

The host was so nice and communicative. The place is original, but clean and great location. Goood value and perfect if you’re just staying to be outside! Perfect for what we were looking for! So nice to have a washer/dryer too!

This is an excellent location on the North Shore. The residence was clean and quiet, and I appreciate quiet. For the 2 of us there was plenty of space. We really enjoyed the proximity to the Ritz resort. There was a lot to process when we arrived to get into the VRBO. Overall I would recommend.

The property was lovely and very clean and neat. There was attention to detail and the owner's mother greeted us upon our arrival. Everything was labeled and detailed as to what switches matched up with devices and appliances. I would recommend that they might think about purchasing a new toilet handle as it was difficult to utilize the one that was there. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Access to this condo was very easy. The condo was fully furnished and clean. The location was great. We were able to walk to the Turtle Bay resort which is beautiful. You should recommend the Lei Lei restaurant in your description also within walking distance. Other than the unit being a little outdated it was a perfect place to stay.

The place was perfect and clean! We were very comfortable as well and the Host was so very sweet and responsive and accommodating to everything we needed! I would love to stay here again when i come back and would recommend this place to anyone! Thanks for everything!

Amazing stay

My fiancé and I stayed here for a week. It was nice and clean and quiet. We didn’t mind it being “dated” at all. There were plenty of amenities and fun things around to do! It was safe and walkable everywhere.

We read reviews before staying and aren't mad about anything! It's no where near the ocean and definitely a walk to the beach, or a view for that matter. The golf course is the abandoned one. Again, no big deal. Just not how described.

The condo is located within a gated community adjacent to Turtle Bay resort/hotel. Simple but clean and well-stocked. Approximate 10 minute walk to the beach/cove adjacent to the hotel. The hotel has a coffee shop and restaurants and Lei Leis bar and grill is located on the gold course/5 minute walk away but there's not much else within walking distance. Good base for exploring the north shore with easy and frequent bus access from other parts of the island.

Dated condo, but still comfortable. Minimum amenities, but a good location for travel to other attractions, restaurants, grocery stores, and beaches

My husband and I had stayed in a condo next to what used to be called Turtle Bay Resort and is now called the Ritz Carlton, quite a few years ago. We talked to Deb, the property manager, to get the address to our condo and she told us the Condo's name had been changed to Kawela but the condos{ were still there with the same access to the beaches and the beautiful bay next to the Resort. Our condo was about a 10-15 minute walk on a nice walk way to get to all the beach accesses. The condo was very nice, not fancy but had everything we needed. A good bed, fully stocked kitchen, new couch and nice furniture and a very nice pool.. It was quiet and Deb helped up with the TV and all our questions. We would definitely stay there again.

This ground-level property was clean and well-maintained.The simple check-in process was so helpful. The host was wonderful and helpful. This property is in a quiet, safe neighborhood. Depending on how fast you walk you can get to the beach in 3-5 minutes. There are several beach areas within 15 minutes driving and 2 or 3 that you could walk to in 3-15 minutes. The kitchen was tidy, stocked with all of the essentials. I loved having laundry available in the apt. The pool was cute and very close, though i did not use it. The community is gated, adding to safety and the host was waiting for me when I arrived making it all very simple. I loved having a few beach items available for use! Those came in very handy! I would recommend and would stay again. This would be a good place to bring children as well, noting that there is 1 bedroom and a sofa bed. The sliding glass door opens to a backyard area next to the gorgeous golf course.

Relaxing and beautiful atmosphere

The property was fine. The listing indicated the place slept 3. Originally signed up for two adults, knowing my friend would be there a day or two. Another friend decided to go. When he found out he immediately called me wanting more money. He immediately put a charge for an extra person the entire stay. I had to explain to him it was only two days. He changed it but wanted to be paid 'tonight'. Really? He wanted an extra 35 or 40 dollars per night for one person. I / we felt watched the entire time. Not to mention mislead. I don't plan to stay there again.

We had an amazing time staying at this place. There’s such gorgeous beaches that we walked to multiple times a day. Highly recommend walking along the little trail by kaihalulu Beach all the way to Kahuku Point. We saw some monk seals! Ry’s Poke Shack is phenomenal! Do not miss this place! I think about it every day.

Our family flew in for our grandson’s first birthday party. It was the perfect location to the party. It was also the perfect location to Turtle Bay 🌈 and everything in the North Shore. We love the North Shore and would not stay anywhere else. This was the first time at a rental as our family lives in Hawaii, but there was so much family staying that they could not accommodate everyone. I would definitely rent from this renters again. It was a great price and location. Bev the manager is great and always available if you need anything.

Lovely setting. Unit quite dated. It could do with a little TLC. The bathroom needs a total renovation. Bed was comfortable but linen and pillows need throwing out and replaced with fresh new linen For the price I was suprised to see it did not supply bathroom lotion and also teabags were missing. Overall Id rate this particular unit 2 1/2 out of 5

There are two huge fraudulent claims in this listing - first this is NOT associated with Turtle Bay Resort. Clearly if you list that in the title of your VRBO listing you would think it would be, but this is NOT. When we book (may have changed since) there were two pictures of the Turtle Bay Resort pools (I kept screenshots) of which you CANNOT use. Now why would you post pictures of the amazing pools that you cannot use? Second false claim is the first line of the description of the property states it is a "2-minute walk to the beach" This again is false. It is about three quarters of a mile to the beach and around the actual Turtle Bay Resort. No way that is two minutes. There is a huge difference in feeling like you are on the beach or where this place actually is located. Lastly, the place is very rundown - again I have pics - the bathroom is peeling in the shower and tub, there is no exhaust fan in the bathroom, walls and trim are worn and dirty, there are roach traps and feels OLD. Very disappointing experience here.

Escape the Waikiki crowds and getaway to north shore. Condo does have some older features but it’s worth the price. Very pleasant in early June with the doors open to catch the trade winds, but light be hot later in summer. Loved the easy drive to countless beaches and roadside eateries. Hukilau Marketplace and the Polynesian Cultural center are close and worth the trip! Bev was very helpful and made everything easy.

Great location for all of our needs. House accommodations were great and the water sports/beach gear provided was a bonus. Amazing view from patio of golf course.

The property is out of date. The location is convenient. Had opportunity to visit other properties that were updated and much more inviting. Property owner indicated updates are planned - they should do so before further poor reviews.

This place is a great location on the North Shore, and has the essential kitchen amenities so that you don't need to eat out all the time. The bed was surprisingly comfortable, as that's usually an issue for me when I travel. There are a lot of walking trails nearby and my spouse and I enjoyed walking and exploring along the shore. The shore is a bit of a walk, but easily do-able.

Our stay was delightful. Turtle bay for swimming plus the pool by the condo. The unit was cared for and fully equipped. Ground floor unit in a very quiet building with assigned parking. Beverly was very nice and helpful. Would definitely consider a return to this unit.

We came for a family member’s wedding at Turtle Bay. The location was perfect, like 2 minutes away. The condo was so convenient. Check in was super easy and Beverly was very friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay again on our next trip to the island.

Well stocked condo with a nice pool area and near to a protected resort beach. Beach is walkable but you can also park closer (public beach access). Condo is a fourplex so there is neighbour noise, nothing too bad during our stay. Reserved parking space. AC in bedroom keeps the unit cool. Only thing I would suggest to the owner is a bathroom reno. And to the renter, bring your own toilet paper!

The pictures posted did not match where we stayed. The bathroom was in complete disarray. The shower walls peeling, mold on ceiling and old vanity gave the overall feel of dirty, rundown condo. The carpet through out was old and smelly. The couch and table chairs you didnt want to sit on as they too were old and moldy smelling. Other family members stayed in Turtle Bay condos that were remodled and extremely nice. You couldn't pay me to stay here. Check in took 30 minutes as Bev the manager had to walk you through everything... the coffee maker, washer, how many garbage bags to use. I prefer pick up a key and here is your place, it matches the pictures. This is not the place.

I would not recommend this property for anyone who is sensitive to smells or mold. The pictures of the property on the site do not match what it currently looks like. After traveling more than 13 hours, and just getting married, my husband and I were looking forward to resting and putting our feet up. Only to be greeted by one of the hosts who asked us if we were Mormons (not sure what that has to do with our stay) and going on a rant about politics and the LGBTQ community. Once the host finally left, my husband and I looked around and felt so defeated and uncomfortable with staying at the condo. We were stuck there for one night as it was night time and we didn’t know where to go. I am also pregnant, and could not stay at a place with so much mold and the smell. We went to get ready for bed and the toilet was dirty, shower outdated, the towels did not smell fresh or clean. We spent our first night on our honeymoon looking for other places to stay. At 4 am I woke up, and booked another place. By 6 am we were out of the condo and on our way to the next place. We were also told not to put on the ac for the first couple nights because of a storm passing by, but it was hard to sleep being on the first floor you can hear people coming and going with the windows open. The condo is also falsely advertised showing pictures of the resort pool, and being connected to the turtle bay name, however you can NOT use any of the resort amenities. Host is not giving money back.

The property was pleasant but not luxurious. Considering the very nice location (next to the golf course and within walking distance of the shoreline and beaches) and given the exorbidant costs associated with the adjacent hotel, this is a good value for this costly location. The accomodations are more than adequate, but not plush and this condo could be excellent with some refurbishing of the bathroom and a new mattress.

We didn’t spend that much time at the property but we really liked that outside of food it had everything we needed. Dislikes were a lot of repairs needed. Screen doors on both sliding doors didn’t work properly. Bathroom drywall needed sealed and painted on ceiling.

The place is a little outdated. The bathroom definitely needs to be renovated. It was a good amount of space and everything worked. We did find mold around the apartment, which my girlfriend was not too fond of, but given the humidity and heat in Hawaii we were not that surprised. The host was really kind and considerate. She showed us the ins and out and was very accommodating.

The condo was in excellent condition, the contact person was very polite & attentive to all of our needs which was none since everything was perfect.
