Amazing location and complex! We loved our stay at Kolea! The location is perfect for walking to restaurants, beach access, groceries, shopping, etc. The condo was VERY clean and had all the amenities you needed. The lanai was great for dinners on the grille. Very quiet. The pool was perfect and never super crowded. Amazing stay and we will 100% be back. The ONLY thing I would say is that it is a tiny bit dated, but all the other positives way out weighed that! See you again, Kolea!
Beautiful location. Spacious condo with large lanai area. Less than 5 minute walk to the pool and beach. Highly recommend this location.
Location was great. Easy walk to the beach. Overall clean place but some concerns. We arrived and there were multiple roach traps in the kitchen and saw quite a few roaches. The toaster was used once and started smoking. The freezer was very finicky and if the door wasnt pushed hard to shut the ice would melt. Lastly the hot water in the master bath shower didnt get above luke warm. Just a lot of little things I would have assumed at the price point wouldnt be happening.
Travel with confidence this unit is furnished with everything you need to enjoy your vacation. The unit was clean, nicely decorated, and featured every nice-to-have we could have asked for. Wonderful unit and I’ll recommend it to friends.
Clean and no roaches!
My family of 4 ended our Big Island trip with 2 nights at this condo. It was perfect! Very clean, nice kitchen, great patio, short walk to beach.
This development is perfect for those who want ready access to both a pool and A Bay with its beach (and turtles!). The twin beds in the unit's guest bedroom were perfect for our 2 young grandchildren. We also really appreciated the plastic dishes and cups that could be taken to the pool; and the beach towels and sand toys for the beach.
Everything you want here. A very short walk to the beach and located near all the best beaches on the island. A beautiful clean home with all the amenities, along with a pool and hot tub in the complex. I would come back and stay here!

This condo was absolutely perfect. We had everything we need and more. All the beach necessities we provided for us. The beach was less than a 5 minute walk and the surf was super calm the whole time. The Kings and Queens Marketplace are both a short walk away. I would highly recommend this condo to anyone who wants a relaxing vacation.
Everything was perfect. The home was beautifully appointed, spacious, comfortable and well equipped. We enjoyed the pool/club and beach, a short walk away. Well located near high end stores and restaurants and great beaches. Would absolutely stay at this complex and in this unit again and highly recommend.

We stayed at Kolea Kai 16D with our two granddaughters on their “Turning 10 Trip”. It was perfect for our purpose. They loved their bedroom suite and hanging out on the lanai. The place had everything we wanted and much more.
The setting is gorgeous and the condo has very high-end finishes. We would love to stay here again!
It's rare when an on-line listing matches the reality but this one hit the mark. 1st floor 2BR unit in the well located and well maintained Kolea Kai condo development Sandwiched between the Big Hilton and Big Marriott Kolea has direct beach access and is easily walkable to all shopping and many restaurants (go to Lava Lava Beach Club many times!). We had a rental car for off premises trips (Volcanoes Nat'l Park, Hilo Botanical Gardens, Hawi, Waimea, etc., etc., but you could get by without one for sure if you're just looking for a beach vacation! The unit itself was immaculate and had a well appointed kitchen and personal outdoor grilling station. Very comfortable King size bed in the master BR and 2 small twins in secondary make it ideal for a couple or family with younger childeren. We were here in late Jan/early Feb and saw many whales spouting and breaching right from the beach (so cool)! Go and enjoy!
The condo was nicely equipped and very clean. We liked the layout and the location was fantastic!
