This ground-level villa offers a prime location with convenient access to a spacious, open grassy area directly off the lanai—ideal for children and anyone looking to enjoy the scenic views in a private, relaxing setting.
As you step into the villa, you'll be welcomed by an open-concept great room that overlooks the expansive lanai and lush lawn. The living area is thoughtfully furnished with two comfortable sofas facing a 4K wall-mounted curved television equipped with extended cable and surround sound. Adjacent to the living area, a dining table seats six. The well-appointed kitchen features premium Viking and SubZero stainless steel appliances, an under-sink water filtration system for pure, fresh water and ice, and ample storage with upgraded cabinetry and modern granite countertops. A small desk and computer workstation are also provided for added convenience.
Guests can open six large lanai doors to enjoy the peaceful lawn area. The lanai includes a teak dining table with seating for six, two lounge chairs, and a stainless steel BBQ grill with a wet bar—perfect for memorable evenings watching the sunset.
Located on the opposite side of the villa, the spacious and private master bedroom features hardwood floors and large windows that fill the room with natural light. The master includes a king-size bed, bedside tables, and a 4K curved television mounted above a six-drawer dresser. The en-suite bath is generously sized, offering a deep soaking tub, a large walk-in shower, dual granite vanities, and an expansive walk-in closet.
The second guest bedroom is furnished with two twin beds, bedside tables, and a wall-mounted LCD television. The attached bathroom features a tub-shower combination and a granite vanity.
The third guest bedroom, located just off the kitchen, has a queen-size bed, nightstands, and a wall-mounted television. This room's en-suite bathroom includes a walk-in shower and a granite vanity.
Additional amenities at Kolea 1A include Wi-Fi, dual-zone air conditioning, and a full-size washer and dryer in the newly renovated laundry room.
Guests also have access to the garage, which is equipped with beach essentials like boogie boards, surfboards, snorkel gear, chairs, umbrellas, and other recreational items.

Kolea is one of our favorite spots on the big island. Very quiet but beach access is 5 minute walk to Abay. 10 minute walk to Hilton either by road or along the shore. Marriott is next door if you care to wander over for a meal. Drive to Kona is 40 minutes and other resorts like the Mauna Lani, Fairmont, Mauna Kea and their restaurants are within 10 to 15 minute drive. Nice little pool and hot tub here at Kolea that is a 5 minute walk or less.
This condo met all expectations that we had. Professional property manager made the stay seamless. Beautiful unit that is well equipped with a large lanai that is shaded and protected from any wind.
We had a wonderful stay at this property. Clean, comfortable, and equipped with everything you need for a great week at the beach and pool. The folks at Waikoloa Vacation Rentals were incredibly responsive and accessible. We keep coming back to Kolea and would happily stay in this unit again.
We absolutely loved our stay with you. Everything from booking, checking in, our stay and departure was easy and enjoyable. We loved the open living space, including the lovely splendid outdoor living space, where we enjoyed our morning coffee and dinners. Having the Hilton pass was a nice perk, as we did spend time at the resort, evening swims in the property pool and sunsets on the beach in front of the property were greatly enjoyed!. We slept well in the comfortable beds, enjoyed cooking in the open kitchen and had fun on the beautiful recommended beaches, with the water toys provided in the garage. Always Love staying here in Kolea. All the condos are very much the same but what puts this one above the rest is how beautifully decorated it is.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family stayed at the Kolea Resort for two weeks in January 2018. We were a family of six; 4 adults and two children. This resort came recommended by a family member who has been staying at the resort for the past twelve years. We choose a ground floor condo as we thought the children would enjoy the extra space. We really enjoyed the Resort and its amenities. The resort is very well maintained, pools very clean and public areas are all well kept. Our condo was clean, spacious with comfortable beds. The kitchen is well equipped, some items such as knives were not in good shape, broken handles but overall the kitchen was decently equipped. One thing that would improve the use of the furniture would be felts on all the chairs inside and out as they make a terrible noise when being moved on the tiles. One big disadvantage of this unit was the noise coming from the condo above. For 12 nights of our stay we were woken up at 5:00 in the morning to the non-stop moving of furniture, very noisy children running around which made it impossible to sleep past the hour of 5:00. We spoke to the Waikoloa Rental Agency and they reported the problem immediately. Unfortunately, as they are not the company renting the condo above, the problem was never resolved. We found out that the condo above (1B) allows 10 people as a maximum for the same size we rented which has a maximum of 6. So I would advise anyone renting a condo in this resort to be aware of the different rental situations. If we come back to Kolea or recommend this resort to anyone, we would suggest renting a top floor unit. We would highly recommend Waikoloa Vacation Rental Management, they provided excellent service.
