Property Overview
Guest to pay onsite management Castle Resorts direct at check in/out for required checkout cleaning fee. Full check out cleaning for 1 bedroom units for 2026 is $277.00 plus 18.712% tax effective 1-1-26 for stays of 7 nights or longer. Any stays between 1-6 nights to pay a nightly fee of $49 night plus 18.7122% tax towards the check out cleaning fee. So the cleaning fee for a 3 nights stay would be $147 plus tax. Cleaning rates and taxes subject to change. Please consult with Castle Resorts for the most up to date cleaning rates. This is as of March 2026
Kiahuna plantation is a low density bungalow style resort located on 35 acres of tropical paradise. It is a lovely resort with one of the highest revisit rates on the island and is located right on one of the best swimming beaches in Poipu. Our unit is one of the only few in the development to be so close to the sand.
Our unit 10 is located on the ground level of a two story building, ocean front in building 3. The condo has been recently renovated by one of the islands premier interior decorators. From the kitchen and living room it looks directly out over the ocean where you can enjoy the gorgeous views. Our unit has a fully-equipped fully open kitchen, king-size bedroom, queen sofa pullout bed, allowing for up to 4 people total occupancy, as well as many owner-supplied extras. Children are certainly welcome at Kiahuna and our unit is one of the best for kids as it opens up right on to the expansive lawn where they can play. We take great pride in our unit and keep it constantly updated. Recent improvements include a newly upholstered sofa and chairs, plantation shutters, new appliances, new bath tile, and new lanai furniture. We also offer a stackable washer and dryer for your convenience, which is a feature you will not find in some of the other units as Kiahuna. Please note that there is no central air conditioning in the units at Kiahuna but our unit is situated to take full advantage of the trade winds to cool the air naturally. Ceiling fans are available in the unit.
Our guests have all the privileges available to any other Kiahuna guest, free wireless internet access, and support staff through the onsite management company Castle Resorts. They are there to serve you with any problem that might arise.
Swimming/Tennis/Fitness Enjoy complimentary use of the exclusive Poipu Beach Athletic Club directly across Poipu Road for swimming and tennis. Note-not all units at Kiahuna are members. Our unit will provide you complementary access during your stay.
There is also a beach hut onsite where you can rent snorkel equipment and boogie boards and other beach necessities. Surfing lessons are offered several mornings a week on the beach in front of the unit. Beach chairs and towels provided free-of-charge at the beach hut.
There are quite a few gas barbeques located throughout the grounds for your use. This is an excellent place to meet and talk with other guests staying at the Kiahuna Plantation Resort. Lots of restaurants are within an easy stroll of the property.
This unit has an in unit washer and dryer which is not common in most other units. It also has a top quality King Matress in the bedroom. Best location on the resort property. Recent additions to unit as of November 2015
1. We added a wide screen 4K HD smart TV in the living room. If you have an account with channels like Netflix, Amazon, Pandora, etc., you should be able to use it to see these channels. You need to be on HMDI 2 for that. HMDI 1 is for cable.
2. We moved the HD TV that was in the living room to the bedroom which had no TV. It has its own cable box so you can watch different channels in each room.
3. New washer and dryer that will be installed.
4. In the kitchen we put in a new toaster, new coffee maker, added a new set of sharp cutting knives. Also a rug that covers most of the walking area.
5. In the bedroom we added a light in the closet that works off of motion. We added new colorful bed spread and matching pillow coverings. Also rugs by each side of the bed.
6. Changed out the fan switches so that the speed could be controlled easier. Adding more light dimmers.
7. Castle phase 1 has upgraded the WIFI speed significantly.

What a beautiful place in a perfect setting!
Great location. Easy walk to the beach. Beautiful green lawn area through the center of the buildings. Quiet. We walked to Blue Fish Coffee for lunch several days. I took a long walk every morning past Shipwreck Beach. Very safe, even at dawn. Unit has a washer/dryer. Kitchen is well stocked. Plenty of beach ch airsand umbrellas for guest use.
Location was superb..walk out onto the lawn and see the ocean. Kitchen was stocked with all the essentials plus more.

The location was perfect, beautiful grounds, close to the water and a nice breeze through the space. The amenities were also great and make it easy for our family to enjoy being together.
We had a wonderful, relaxing vacation and the location is great. Only issue we had was using beach chairs checked out at the beach hut. This is on an honor system and chairs are to be returned. However, the time to return these chairs is 6pm well before the 7:45-8 pm sunset every night. There was no sign advising chairs needed to be returned by 6pm and we were made aware by a call by office and subsequent flyers left at our door. Chairs return needs to be posted and extended. We are seniors and cannot sit on sand or grass for evening sunsets which we look forward to.
Kiahuna Plantation is like coming home for us. Their location close to the ocean is key. Large rolling green lawns with outdoor barbecues for you to use. The condo has most everything you need to enjoy your stay. It would have been nice to have kitchen supplies like foil, seran wrap, etc. especially if you plan to do any cooking. Comfortable furniture, a restful bed, and nice linens. The washer/dryer was an excellent feature. Parking is easy and the reception was efficient. Thank you for another wonderful stay at the Kiahuna.
Absolutely loved being able to see and hear the ocean. Anything that we needed was provided. (We tried to be careful of the seat coverings.)

This was our first trip to Kauai and the property far surpassed our expectation. Being on the ground floor you are truly steps from the beach! The unit is well appointed and comfortable making it easy to relax and have an enjoyable stay.

The perfect location for those who want easy access to the beach, lawn and BBQ’s. The sunset views from the patio cannot be beat! The condo was cute, clean, well equipped and having the washer and dryer was a big plus.
Beautiful location and amenities. Can't go wrong with Kiahuna Plantation Resort, and this unit was perfect for our family of 4. With the in-unit washer dryer we could pack light, making travel with our 2 young kids much easier. Unit has amazing access to the lawn and the beach is just steps away. Close to the community grills, making it easy to cook at home, and a short walk to Poipu Athletic Club for the kids to swim and grab food if we didnt feel like cooking. Property Manager and Owner were great to deal with and very responsive to any questions. We will definitely be back!
Wonderful Kiahuna condo. The best location! Everything you need for a great vacation. We swam in the Ocean everyday and enjoyed tennis at the club across the street. We will be back!
The property was amazing and it was definitly the best beach on the island!
Our stay was relaxing. Our room had a curling iron, hair dryer, curling brush and magnifying mirror. All the things a woman wants. The kitchen was well equipped. Enjoyed watching the surfers and listening to the waves all day and night.
We love this place, very clean and comfortable with a great view of the ocean and access to the beach. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Beachfront unit with easy access to lawn, beach, and barbecue area. Perfect size for a couple. Well-equipped kitchen. Very clean at check-in.
We first stayed at Kiahuna Plantation 29 years ago. We have been back over a dozen times and i am always in search of the best unit to rent. Unit 10 might be it. Close to the ocean without being so close you hear everyone on the beach. A perfect sunset view and a washer/dryer. It’s a small thing, but makes life easier. The unit is well stocked and had beach umbrellas and chairs. We will be back next year.
Lovely sunsets on the lanai and a brief walk on the beach for the sunrise. Convenient location to everything!
The location of this property is amazing. You can walk to many restaurants and shops. You are literally steps from the beach. You can lounge on the grass or the sand. We had four people which was a little tight but definitely manageable and worth having a unit so close to the beach. The host was always very prompt with her responses. We will absolutely be back.
