Property was clean except for some minor carpet stains on the steps leading upstairs. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes, pots, pans and utensils. The air conditioning is not great. There is only one thermostat and it's located on the first floor. As a result, the upstairs gets much hotter than downstairs. There are ceiling fans in the loft and the bedroom upstairs to help cool things down but they aren't sufficient when it's warm outside. The HVAC system is also somewhat noisy. My 20 year old son said the single beds in the loft were not very comfortable. They are probably fine for kids but adults may not enjoy sleeping on them. The furniture in the living room is adequate but not really suited for hanging out and watching TV for an extended period of time. The lanai is definitely on the smaller side so don't expect a family of four to be able to hang out there. Having a dedicated garage space was nice and convenient but it is a tight fit if you're driving an SUV. The overall property in nice and well kept.

Loved this place! So clean and located just a couple minutes from the beach!! It was very quiet place and super clean! We absolutely loved staying here!

Based on other reviews, many guests appear to rate this property as exceptional and specifically mention the cleanliness. Unfortunately, I would disagree with that level of rating. While the condo itself has good bones and amenities, the overall cleanliness and upkeep fell short of expectations. The carpeting throughout the unit was stained. The stairs looked like they had not been vacuumed recently, and there was visible dust buildup on vents and decorative trees, all of which contributed to the unit feeling less clean overall.Additionally, much of the furniture and beach equipment provided was very worn. The dining chairs had visible stains and the living room furniture had noticeable wear that suggested they are in need of updating or replacement. The beach chairs and umbrella also had torn carrying straps and broken framing.Kauai itself was wonderful, and the overall Pili Mai property is conveniently located and well maintained. We enjoyed using the pool and hot tub, both of which were very nice. The unit itself has a lot of potential, but the level of care and maintenance did not match the reviews, and offering damaged or broken amenities felt misleading.We chose not to raise complaints with the property manager during our stay because we were concerned about potential retaliation or tension during our visit but as a vacationer who relies on other customers' reviews, I must be honest in my review.

Let me start with this was the 1st time staying in a hosted house. We didn’t know what to expect. Surprised at how nice, clean and spacious it was. The snack box was much appreciated. Overall stay was nice and relaxing. Thank you.

Beautiful property, very clean, the set up was perfect for our group. Check in process was very easy and the property management company was very responsive. The hot tub and kiddie pool were out of commission for maintenance which was our only disappointment as we were looking forward to those amenities. Location is great and excellent value for your money.

The unit overall is nice. We were unable to park in the small garage due to having an SUV, we were fortunate to find visitor parking right in front of our unit all but one day. The unit is on upper level, there is a flight of stairs up to it. Inside there is a queen sized bedroom on main level and the king bedroom and loft are both up a flight up stairs on upper level. We found the two twin beds in the den area to be very hard- wicker with a flat top, and a thin mattress on it, we ended up buying 2 air mattress on our own and putting them up in the living room instead. The other beds were fine. The upper level was very hot- cannot adjust the ac. There is a ceiling fan. There was salt, pepper and EVOO in the kitchen, otherwise no other spices. I know it’s not listed as included but just a heads up, as a lot of rentals have a supply in the kitchen that perhaps previous guests had left behind. We did a lot of cooking at the rental, and the kitchen supplies could be replaced, the knives were dull, even after sharpening, the pans were warped and wouldn’t sit flat on the stove and the baking sheet was full of rust. There was food on the bottom of the oven causing it to smoke quite a bit when turned on. We originally booked this unit due to the pool and hot tub looked very appealing. I received a message a few days after booking that the hot tub would be under construction, very unfortunate as it was nonrefundable. The main pool was open but it’s not heated so cold for evenings

It was the perfect spot for us to spread out and we were shocked at how much space the condo had. Our only concern was the cookware. It’s in very rough shape (extremely scratched, food sticks, light weight and wobbly while cooking, and unhealthy to continue being cooked in). We have loved our stays that have stainless steel pots and pans. They hold up and stay in the same shape time and time again. Thank you for the accommodation. We loved our stay overall!

We really enjoyed the large open kitchen and the spacious setup of the entire home. Once we figured out the correct way to contact the host, it was quick communication. I did have trouble locating the unit, that part could be clearer. Overall it was a great experience.

This condo was AMAZING!! Absolutely exceeded our expectations which I feel like is typically hard to do. The location was awesome and so close to everything, the view from the balcony was beautiful with the golf course and a partial ocean view, it was super clean inside and there was everything you could ever need! We took advantage of the snorkels, beach chairs, umbrellas, and boogie boards every day which was awesome!

This place was just what our family needed. Space to spread out in a great location near all of the attractions off Poipu. Having enough beds for 6 people was the main clincher for our booking. Management was great and quick to respond to any question. The property was clean and well maintained. The only reason we docked it a star was parking and AC. We were given access to a garage for parking but since we had a full size SUV we couldn’t fit the car into it which left us needing to park in a visitor spot which were often full and left us circling the neighborhood for awhile. The other is was the AC. This is a two story condo that has its bottom floor on the second level of the building. So the upstairs can get warm & the AC wasn’t cooling it the first night. However once we started closing a vent in the downstairs living room everything cooled off much better. Again, this was a great place to stay with the simplest check-out procedures I’ve ever had in a VRBO. (Just take out the trash). Would choose to stay here again.

We loved having a kitchen and laundry in the unit. It made things so much easier for our family of 5. The unit was clean and inviting and we would absolutely stay there again!

Clean apartment, nice neighborhood, easy parking for the rental. They have chairs and an umbrella you can bring to the beach. We loved our stay here and would recommend it to anyone. :)

The general property was well cared for, pool & gym were nice and 1/2 mi to shops, restaurants and beach. The condo had comfortable beds and basic kitchen supplies and setup. However, the living room furniture and bean bag style cushions were very weary, uncomfortable and not conducive for watching TV or relaxing. The dining room seat cushions were stained and looked dirty as did the bean bag covers. A frying pan had not been cleaned well, the kitchen faucet was loose and wobbly on arrival and the coasters had clearly not been cleaned for some time. We made it work because we were gone most days but would not rent that unit again.

This place was even better than the photos. So large and can sleep many people. The community was great and came with several amenities. Would stay there again in a heartbeat!

Quite and clean place, spacious for 5 people, had everything we needed. The only drawback is parking, we couldn't fit our mid size SUV into the garage, but were able to find guest street parking.

Went for a short golf trip, the condo was clean and mgmt company left clear instructions. We didn't spend a lot of time in the unit but it's conveniently located near shopping and restaurants. Had a nice welcome basket with snacks. Would definitely recommend if you're staying in Koloa.

Cons: more roaches than I was comfortable with. I would say borderline infested. I could see in the kitchen where they were staying. Saw no less than 5 adults a day and many babies. One in the bed at one point. The twin beds were super hard and had zero comfort. The breaker for the downstairs bedroom tv kept tripping even when nothing else was on. Had to turn breaker for oven off because it kept randomly turning on and would start beeping in the middle of the night. Garage parking only works if you have a smaller vehicle. Our minivan wouldn’t fit. I wouldn’t stay here again. I can handle bugs, I get the weather makes it common but this was absolutely disgusting.

We really enjoyed our stay here. There were a few issues but the management company was quick to respond. The AC can not go lower than 72 which is probably not an issue for most but I would have liked to have had that info before booking. The oven was not working and was beeping and the light kept coming on and off for days. There were also several bugs inside the unit. All small issues and did not ruin our stay. The location, the property, and amenities were great. The bed was comfy but the upstairs gets warm. This unit fit our family of four very well.

Pros: Like the title states, great location and plenty of space. The complex was very quiet as well. The beds were very comfortable and we had enough towels. The washer and dryer came in extremely handy. Beautiful unit. Cons: Apparently there had been a sizable leak from the pipes before we had arrived. Drywall had been cut away and patched in several places. While we were there, several workers had to come in and out for this situation. Also, the 3rd night there, our a/c stopped working. It was very hot with no breeze. They could not get it fixed right away so our a/c was out for 2 nights. So, we had even more people in and out of our unit when we were there or not there. I do realize maintenance needs to happen but it just seemed a bit invasive in this unit. I don't like my personal belongings being moved around especially when i am not present. Again, very lovely unit in a fabulous complex. I would probably prefer to stay in a different unit next time with different management.

Condo was a perfect location if you don't mind driving a few minutes to the beach....or you could walk. Well provisioned unit.....nothing was left to chance from cooking, to cleaning to using the beach chairs and boogie boards. We would rent the unit again.

Spacious and clean.

We had to do a little hunting in the dark as the letters on the units were not very visible. We didn’t find the garage until the next morning. The rental agency was very responsive to our requests.

This is a great 2 bedroom 2 bathroom with extra space in loft for 3rd bedroom area for stay in the south side of island. Close to Poipu beach area and easy driving to other island activities. Decent amount of kitchen supplies and had cooler, chairs, umbrella, caddy, boogie boards and beach towels so you don’t have to bring your own. Only dislike was not a lot of living room seating and the deck is small - Not large for gathering on but other than that great place to stay.

Well appointed place and grounds. Great proximity to the beach. We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it for others.
