Property Overview
This is the best south shore Kauai location, it is in a mature tropical setting with a small stream winding through the property. Our pathways are lined with beautiful flowering plants and trees. Calm, quiet, peaceful is the walk through this little piece of paradise. The gorgeous blue tile swimming pool is landscaped with an incredible variety of orchids and species palm trees.
A walk out the back gate of the property turning left puts you at the Koloa Landing, the premiere diving and snorkeling spot on the south Shore. It is a short walk up the street heading east leads to the ocean and the sandy beaches of Waiohai. Leaving our back gate and turning right heading west takes you past “secret baby beach” and within ten minutes you are at the famous “Beach House” and Prince Kuhio beach.
Amazing sunsets, great snorkeling and world class surf spots all at the “Beach House” set back relax and take it all in!
Across the street from WaiKomo we have the Kukuiula shopping mall, it has everything. We have fine dining to casual restaurants, ice cream shops, art galleries, clothing stores, surf shops, organic grocery stores and more. On Wednesday they have a great farms market (don’t miss it, local fruits, vegetables and foods) a good time and it starts right at Happy Hour!
Just to make it easy for you to find all the great beaches, hiking, shopping etc. on Kauai we have a copy of the “Ultimate” Kauai guide book in our unit (coffee table drawer) enjoy it….and be sure to leave it.
Now we are the back building ground floor end unit #303. This means sunlight and trade winds all day long, no parking lot noise, no car alarms, no one dragging suitcases by the front door or stairs to climb. We have a private and quiet back patio, it's great place anytime, especially for breakfast.
Our condo is 1000 sq ft one bedroom with a spacious kitchen, separate living room and dining room. What we have done is completely remodeled it, everything is new from cabinets in the bath and kitchen to carpeting, counters, fixtures and furniture.
We have a walk in shower with travertine tile and stone counter tops. The unit has its own washer and dryer with dish a washer in the kitchen. We have ceiling fans in all the rooms with recessed can lighting, all with dimmer controls.
The furniture is from the CW WO gallery Honolulu. You will find that as this is our second home we designed and furnished it with quality and comfort in mind. The bedroom has a Sealy pillow top Cal king bed with “protect a bed system”.
We have two 50 inch ultra HD Samsung Smart TV’s and we have a Netflix account that is already setup on the TV’s. The entertainment is a VIZO sound bar bluetooth capable for you music. Cable TV and High speed internet with Wi-Fi ready to use (the password is on the router).
Our pantry is completely stocked as well as the kitchen is for everything you need. A Cuisinart Teflon complete set of pots and pans and every kitchen utensil you need. Check the large pantry everything from rice cookers to crock pots, coffee grinders it is all there.
To make it even more enjoyable boogie board, beach mats, chairs and coolers are in the pantry for you to use.
Now if golf is your game you have three courses all within ten minutes of your front door at Waikomo. Let me give you my ratings and you can pick (remember check twilight rates and online deals).

Here’s the local golf tip: drive 15 minutes up to Kalaheo and play the nine hole at Kukuiolono , it is set in a park with incredible views of the south and west shores,
We suggest when visiting Kauai slow down relax and you will find a lot of smiling faces and friendly people…it’s called “Island Style”.
So here are some do’s and don'ts about Waikomo Stream Villas and our home.
It is a NO SMOKING complex….out front by the pool area only!
Please wash off sand from feet and beach chairs before coming inside (hose on front patio)
Keep sliding doors closed (the geckos and their flying bug friends want to come inside)
Do not put 'HOT' pots or pans on stone counters(we have holders on stove) it discolors stone.
Please use the Hawaiian quilt as a cover on the couch (it keeps the sunscreen etc off the fabric)
Please remove your shoes before entering condo
Pool keys are hanging up in pantry, please put back when done.
Please use the recycling containers (trash and recycling is located in back of parking area)
Electricity is from fossil fuel on Kauai please help conserve energy by turn off lights etc.

Jon was a great host and communicative. His place worked out well for my wife and son and felt spacious for us. The sofa bed seemed a bit soft to me but was fine for my son. Like other reviewers have noted, the unit has everything you need to cook or go to the beach. And the location was convenient to everything on the south shore.
Very well maintained, clean, and very comfortable. I would highly recommend … Quiet location with a tropical setting…just minutes from the water. The Host has very good communication skills and replies very quickly. Definitely Top Notch
My daughter and I stayed at Jon’s condo. Location was great, easy access to all of the island. Plenty of parking. Jon was quick to respond with any question I had. Condo was clean, spacious for two people and had a nice lay out. Would stay at this condo again when next trip to Kauai is planned.
Beautiful area, we loved Kauai
The property is located in beautiful tropical rain forest. It is been kept up to date and everything is very organized.
We spent a week at Jon’s condo . Overall the location is excellent. Walkable around Poipu and Koala. Beach to swim in is a 25 minute walk. Shopping Mall with restaurants is 5 minute walk. Very quiet and super comfortable king Bed. Condo has all you need to do your own cooking.We will definitely stay again.
We truly enjoyed the accessibility of this space in the touristy southern part of Kauai. It was a large condo with all the amenities needed to cook and clean or just lounge inside or on the patio. The owner was very communicative and even offered to ship home a phone charger we left behind. Definitely recommend this place!

When we first arrived at our condo, it looked exactly like the picture. It has been remodeled and was very clean and well maintained. It has a very open floorplan and was decorated lovely. The pantry was fully loaded with any appliance you could ask for.. Everything was in good working order. I would definitely recommend this condo to friends and family. And I hope I have an opportunity to come thank you John.
I loved the accommodation. Even though there is no air conditioning, there are sufficient fans to keep the place a comfortable temperature. The grounds are beautifully kept and the pool is close by. I enjoyed the walk to see the sunset, walking to Baby Beach, and having the restaurants and shopping so close at hand.
I could not have been happier staying in this wonderful condo. The online description was spot-on. The owners did not embellish on the amenities, and I appreciated the little extras provided. I loved spending time on the lanai with my coffee every morning. The outdoor space and swimming pool were beautiful. Condo close to beaches and shopping.
Comfortable and spacious, situated in a lush landscaped area. Very conveniently located near Poipu beach. The kitchen was very well equipped. The living quarters were very spacious and pleasant. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Great South Kauai location. Minutes on foot to shopping, restaurants. Excellent beaches nearby .. these old folks chose to drive but distances walkable. Property is green, quiet, secluded. Loved the sunrise rooster wake-up call. Unit was spotless and well-equipped.
Jon has a great place with a lot of space. We really enjoyed the selection of cookware and dishes along with the grill and patio. It was clean and well cared for. The location is also within walking distance to the beach and shopping which was also a bonus. Jon communicates well which helps prepare you for your stay. Thank you for sharing your place with us!
Great location with easy access to beaches and restaurants. Unit was clean, well maintained, and had all the amenities we needed. Nice pool on the property. Would gladly stay here again.
Very nice, large condo with everything we needed for our two-week stay. Especially liked the comfortable king size bed. Only problem we had was not being able to sit out on the patio, read, enjoy a cup of coffee. Apparently, there was a remodeling project going on in the condo above us for 4-5 days which was loud (saws, pounding,etc) and dust accumulating daily on the patio. No warning from the contractor or owner that this was going to take place.
We’ve made many trips to Kauai and the Poipu, first time staying at this condo complex. Enjoyed the flexibility of the location.
