Then, enter through the two teak and carved-glass doors to the first of our two lanais and breathtaking views of the mighty Pacific. From the atrium entry of PUU POA 406, the tropical decor of our newly decorated and furnished family room beckons to a larger second lanai with upscale gas grill and gorgeous sunset views from our famous Hideaways Beach to Bali Hai.
Open wide the sliding glass doors of the master bedroom and sleep to the lullaby of crashing waves. From the moment you arrive, to your final swim in our heated, bluff-edge pool, your unforgettable stay in our expansively equipped, air conditioned, penthouse condo will be one of luxury, peacefulness and romance. This luxurious two bedroom, two bath penthouse unit is one-of-a-kind. The main bedroom of this spacious, 1500 square foot condominium (2200 square foot including the two large lanais), is en-suite with large bathroom, with romantic 'his and her' twin showers, and a relaxing Oriental-style soaking tub. The second bedroom, which has a great view of the mountains and waterfalls, has a queen-size bed. Both the master and the guest bedroom beds have plush, custom-made Island Dreams pillow-top mattresses. Both bedrooms and the family/dining areas have air conditioning with separate controls. (Note though, because of our remote island location and shortage of trained labor it may take some time to have the system repaired in the event of a problem).
Located on the top floor of prestigious PU'U PO'A, this end unit has spectacular views of the reefs and surf from its two lanais (see pictures), from the main bedroom, and living room, and from the kitchen and dining room.
Elegantly refurnished and redecorated, all of the appliances are new and the kitchen is completely outfitted with microwave, stove, oven, blender, etc. There is also a new washer and dryer. The large family room has cathedral ceilings, smart TV, and high-speed fiber internet access for your devices. There is a second smart TV in the main bedroom.
In a quiet, end-of-the-road setting, PU'U PO'A is a solid concrete building, with magnificently maintained tropical gardens, and a beautiful bluff-edge, heated pool and a combined tennis court/pickleball court on the property. Because of its top-floor location and concrete construction, there is little noise from neighboring units. Our holiday home is a cliff-edge unit with magnificent close-up views of whales, surfers, and sunset views of Bali Hai.
The complex is right above and a short path from a secluded beach called 'Hide-Away's' which has exceptional snorkeling over shallow, bountiful reefs (see pictures). PU'U PO'A Beach is just a three minute walk from our condominium in front of the One Hanalei Bay hotel.
One Hanalei Bay has many amenities including a spa for pampering. Winter brings the whales into your panoramic views of the ocean and the high surf attracts world class surfer 'dudes' daily. Princeville is renowned for its beautiful golf courses and nearby rustic Hanalei has great dining and shopping.

Our property managers have instituted an enhanced cleaning protocol. The condo is deep cleaned; all bedding and towels are laundered in professional grade washers; all surfaces, appliances, and handles cleaned; and all surfaces, appliance controls, handles are sanitized with disinfecting spray. **
Relax to the sounds of the surf and enjoy a romantic sunset with panoramic views of Bali Hai from our two lanais.

All Pu'u Po'a units are accessed using stairs. Our condo is on the 4th floor up 1.5 flights of stairs from the parking lot and may not be suitable for guests requiring assistance while walking.

We had a fantastic time staying at Noel and Erica’s Pua Poa condo. It’s steps (a bit steep, but not too difficult to navigate) from a beautiful, private beach with a coral reef for snorkeling. Others surfed further out where the waves break. The condo and its location were perfect. We would love to stay again.
Close to one hotel, gorgeous views and beautiful stars at night. King bed was comfortable, lots of amenities. Very spacious. Could have been cleaner.

This is our third (or 4th??) time staying at this property. We absolutely love it.
We loved our stay. The condo had everything you could need or want with the most perfect views. This was our first trip to Kauai, perfect location to do all the things in the north shore / Hanalei area. Hideaway beach trail is a few steps away from the condo. Highly recommend and would definitely stay here again if we are so lucky to come back.
We were so glad we ended up selecting this location on the North Shore, the condo was just as described. The lanais were the best part. We had everything we needed for the the entirety of our trip (didn’t need to go buy more toilet paper, etc). The communications coming from both the owner and the rental company led to a little confusion. With all the VRBOs I’ve stayed in before, all the info I needed was within the VrBO app. I had to hunt through old emails to find checkout info for this stay. That was my only negative point.

We brought our granddaughters to Kauai for their first visit here. We have stayed in this lovely condo several times and this week was so wonderful…great weather and the girls loved the condo and nearby beaches. Noel was so helpful and he and Erica are great hosts.Great stay in a beautiful home in a lovely setting!
The condo overlooked Hideaways Beach with a sweeping view west to the Napoli Coast. Our group of 2 couples enjoyed the view and waves so much, we only went out for dinner once in 4 evenings. The condo was clean and the kitchen was well supplied. The large master bedroom shower was a real plus. A great visit!
We had a lovely week..very relaxing listening to ocean breezes and exploring beaches. We lost internet due to a storm for a day, but having a nice place to relax it was the upside.We loved the condo… look forward to coming back! Our hosts Noel and Erica were so helpful! Beautiful piece of paradise!
This was an amazing space. Condo was perfect and equipped nicely. We enjoyed the view from the lanai, saw whales and omg, the stars at night! Only thing we thought was a bit much was the constant landscaping noise in the daytime hours. Maybe management could limit to a few days instead of almost daily. Once you tuned it out, it sure was great! Princeville is an amazing area. We loved the scenery all around and enjoyed delicious meals. Our davorite was Happy Talk. Great food and service.
We had a fantastic stay in this unit. It’s so nice to be on the top floor and end of the building to have privacy. The views from our deck were incredible, including whale sightings. We enjoyed dining at the resort next door and playing golf at the Makai course in the neighborhood. We never needed to use the air conditioning given the moderate temperatures and breezes - so nice to hear the waves in bed! Thank you!
Just as fantastic as the first time
First time with VRBO and the stay went very well. The owner communicated exceptionally well. The property was amazing.
We stayed in this condo last year and loved it just as much this year! The views are spectacular and the setting so peaceful and lovely. The condo has everything you would need and is spacious. It was such a relaxing week watching sunsets from the lanai and going to the beaches. We will be back for sure and are sad to leave! The condo management have been great!🌈🏖️🐳☀️
We have stayed in many units in Pu’u Poa and this is our favorite. One of my first nights I was standing in the kitchen ( you almost get a 180 degree view of the ocean) and we saw whales breaching… From the kitchen! My favorite though, was drinking coffee on the lanai, watching the surfers every morning. Such a beautiful was to begin our day. The owners quickly responded to any questions, the unit was very clean, and the pictures did not do it justice. We will be booking again as soon as we can!
