Alii Kai I, Mountain View Condo on Spectacular Ocean Cliff

Great location with beaches, golf and restaurants near by.The condo had a fully stocked kitchen, all of the beach equipment needed and a fantastic view.

Wendy had wonderful customer service and responded in a timely manner. So much to do close to the area and great views! Had every thing we needed to cook and go to the beach! We would definitely recommend and stay again!

We have stayed here multiple times and always love it. The host is very welcoming and responsive, the place is very clean and well equipped and what a beautiful area!

We enjoyed our stay at Alii Kai I. I thought I had received the check-in information, but was mistaken. I called the host and she was very responsive and sent the instructions. The rest of the time was relaxing and was set up with everything we needed.

It's a wonderful condo, with luxurious details such as organic bamboo sheets and soft cotton towels, great cookware, and lovely views. The space was well-maintained, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing Hawaii getaway. The location was perfect, and we truly appreciated the peaceful atmosphere. Definitely in August, air conditioning would have been great! (It didn’t occur to me that AC was an option? Keep in mind that in Kauai it is!) but other than that, it was a gorgeous place! Gorgeous pool! Well stocked with amenities! Super clean! Stunning views! And if you are physically able and brave enough to traverse the Turtle Cave Trail, it is worth it! But be very careful! I did have to visit a local Chiropractor after due to a nasty fall!

Wonderful. I guess anywhere in the island of Kauai meets this description.Property as described; excellent. A rating of 4 (could be 3), unit was not ready until 4:00 PM in the afternoon, making for a boring and tiresome long wait.

Two big pluses. It is larger than it appears in pictures. It is across the parking lot from Turtle Cove which is one of my favorite places on the planet. Wendy probably doesn’t emphasize that feature because you are taking your life into your own hands when you visit the cove.

We had a great time in Princeville. Nice amenities and location and community. Easy check in, clean place. AC would’ve been nice but it cooled off at night

Location is excellent. Community is great; it has beautiful walking/running path, very close to Foodland. Check-in process was very easy. We were staying for 4 days. On day 3 we found notification about water issue on the door (the note said the issue should be for the evening only). On day 4, the water was completely off. Understandably it was unforeseen situation but there's no response from property management at all for any status updates whatsoever. The owner of the condo however, sent a thank you message for understanding several days after we left.

Host was the best we’ve had and the house was so amazing

We enjoyed our time at the condo. We arrived late and after so many hours of travel, fell into comfortable beds. It was our first time to Kauai and we thought the location was fantastic. We cooked all of our meals in and found the condo had everything we needed. My reason for four stars was because I wasn’t able to use the washer, but understand things happen. Would definitely stay again!

Condo is nice and well maintained. It is a few minutes from good shops and restaurants. Wendy is an excellent host with good communication to ensure we had all the information we needed.

This is a beautiful property in a beautiful place. The decoration and furniture are beautiful and it’s so convenient to have the full kitchen. We will definitely be coming back!

My sister and husband flew to see us on Oahu, and we took a mini vacation to Kauai. The condo was located in a very nice area. We enjoyed our stay!

This was the perfect property for us to stay at in Princeville, Kauai. We knew we would be spending limited time at the property due to all of the activities we had planned, so we didn't need to pay for all of the amenities at the pricey resorts. This property was perfect. Plenty of room, great location, clean and modern. We loved it.

Princeville was awesome. Easy check in, parking, and easy to get to Hanalei and Annini. Such a beautiful area. I love going to the pool at the end of a long hot day. It was nice having my own master and my sister got her own bathroom and bedroom. Everything was clean.

We loved our time at this location. The condo is spacious, well furnished, and clean. Our family of 4 made good use of the fold out sofa bed, and savoured our time on the lanai, taking in the view and the peaceful surroundings. Great stay!

It was in a great location and it was extremely quiet. The resort needed a hot tub.

The unit was in a secure condo association. The landscaping was beautiful and lush. The kitchen, living room, and the 2 bedrooms were beautifully designed and decorated. Not cramped at all. Also, had a new washer and dryer. We loved the cool breezes and the privacy. I can’t say enough about how lovely our stay was! The roosters were beautiful!!!

We stayed two weeks in this lovely condo. It is spacious, well decorated and has all that you would need. There were multiple ceiling fans and fans available. The host responded promptly to a question we had. We enjoyed the view of the mountains and the fabulous landscaping in the resort. The proximity to Hanalei was convenient. I would recommend this VRBO property.

This was our first stay in Princeville. It’s a bit of a drive from the airport but we stopped at Safeway for groceries along the way. The condo was in a nice neighborhood and getting in was easy. Parking was plentiful. There was just two of us so we had plenty of room in the two bedroom condo. The place came well stocked with everything you could need including beach towels, chairs and coolers. The beds, towels and linens were all great and we loved the storage space. The kitchen had everything we needed for making simple meals. There were a few minor things like a missing slink drain plug but overall we loved the place and would stay there again.

We stayed 10 days in Wendy’s condo, which looked exactly as pictured. The unit is not ocean front, but there is a beautiful garden/mountain view from the patio. There are many ceiling and floor/table fans throughout, keeping the temperature very comfortable in the absence of air conditioning. Pool is a short walk away, and there were rarely any other guests there. Beds are comfortable. Highly recommend!

We loved our stay at Alii Kai in Princeville. Check-in instructions were clear. The unit was as pictured and clean. We appreciated the beach supplies available to us. We loved waking up to the beautiful views of the mountains each morning. Such a peaceful oasis!Be aware, you will need to drive everywhere in Kauai. There is very little in walking distance of these units. There is only one road around the island, but it does not connect. Look up driving times to destinations you want to visit and be prepared for traffic. That being said, get out and explore the island, it is worth the drive!

Location in princeville. Easy access to everything on the North side of the island. Instructions for checking and check out were great. The unit was very clean and recently renovatedrenovated

We stayed 2 weeks in this beautiful condo and we would go back. The place is well kept and decorated. There is everything you need to make your stay as confortable as possible. Its location offers spectacular views of the mountains and the ocean.Mahalo Wendy!

Condo was spacious for our party of three. Clean and in a quiet neighborhood, minus the roosters. I don't believe there is any getting away from them. Newly remodeled. Plenty of parking. In December anyway. There is a lockbox & a key for the front door. I find it much more convenient to have a keyless entry. There is no air conditioning. There are plenty of fans but it gets warm in the afternoon. While super close to the ocean, the unit is not situated to catch a cross breeze. It was nice to be on the ground floor & not have to schlep luggage up stairs. We could hear the person above us but not too annoying. I would imagine, that's common in a ground floor condo. I would recommend if you are not heat sensitive.

We loved everything about this property. Very clean, lots of great amenities. The host really thought of everything. Great communication and very responsive. The master bedroom bed was very comfortable, I'm pretty picky with beds and my back didn't hurt at all the entire week we were there. The grounds were beautiful and nicely manicured. Location is perfect, 15 minutes from the bay. Loved being so close to the cliffs and being able to hear the waves crashing. This condo is perfect for a family. We look forward to visiting again. .

My family stayed there for 2 weeks and it was very clean and had all the essentials. Wendy was wonderdul to deal with and i highly recommend this place. I give it a 5 star.

Condo was perfect for the time we stayed although we spent more time away and outdoors enjoying all Kauai had to offer, it provided a cozy and comfortable feel like we were at home.

The condo is clean and had plenty of room for my wife, son, and I. Beds are comfortable, bathrooms appear to have been recently renovated, newer flooring, and well-equipped kitchen. No A/C, but open windows and fans helped at night. We took advantage of the kitchen and charcoal grill to eat in and save some money eating out. The location is close to a Foodland grocery store, restaurants, and shops on the north shore. Also close to several beaches. The trail to Turtle Cove is right across the parking lot. The trail is steep and muddy but not difficult. It is worth it in my opinion. My wife enjoyed the chickens that stopped by every morning to say hi. We didn’t necessarily enjoy the roosters crowing before sunrise, but when you’re in paradise you can’t complain. The lanai closet is stocked with a few boogie boards, chairs, umbrellas, snorkel sets, and other miscellaneous beach gear. The bedroom closets also had some snorkel gear, golf clubs (older set), and other miscellaneous recreational gear. I didn’t necessarily agree with the checkout cleaning requirements which I wasn’t aware of until about two weeks out from check-in. While the requirements are fairly reasonable and not the worst cleaning requirements I’ve experienced with a VRBO rental, when you pay a cleaning fee there should not be any cleaning required by the guests in my opinion. The checkout instructions state that there’s a garbage disposal, but there is not one. Would recommend it and would stay again.

My kids and I stayed at this beautiful peace of property. It was perfect and we seriously could not have asked for anything more . Came with board games, beach towels , boogie boards , Beach chairs, snorkeling, equipment, Sand toys, A yoga ball and a whole lot of chickens. 😂 The view is breathtaking and it’s a hop and a skip from watching the sunrise and the sunset over the water. Also a stones throw from turtle cave, which is an absolute must if you stay on the property. Can’t recommend this place anymore. We will absolutely be returning! Mahalo !

The condo didn’t have AC, but opening the windows and turning on the fans cooled it right down. It was roomy. The bathrooms and bedrooms were large and comfy mattresses. The only thing was we couldn’t get warm water on our last day there, so showers were cold and fast, but that may be a building thing. The view off the cliffs was spectacular and beautiful! If I ever get to go back to Kauai I will try this place again.

The condo was everything we wanted and more. We fell in love with the north side of the island years ago and was so happy to stay here. We spent 8 days on the north side and 2 day trips to the south. There’s so many hikes and dreamy snorkeling areas within walking distance! Loved how close it is to restaurants and shopping in Hanalei and Kiluea. We were so grateful for the beach towels. Pro tip: bring hiking sandals with grips on the bottom and also water shoes for snorkeling. Buy your snorkel mask and tube off Amazon. The only downfall which is no fault of this condo was the tenant above us. He seemed to be stomping around the entire night every night. Also the roosters crow as early as 3am so bring a white noise fan if you are a light sleeper! We can’t wait to come back and stay here again. It was amazing!!!

We stayed in Princeville for the second half of our trip to Kauai for our honeymoon. Checking in & o it were easy! The condo is very clean. Beds are comfy! Having a full kitchen was nice. Expect the roosters and birds to be loud most of the day (we didn't mind it!). There's a short (but dangerous) trail near the condo that I recommend visiting, it takes you right on the right near the water! :) the views from the bedrooms are beautiful and you hear the ocean from the room :) highly recommend staying here.

Condo updated and fully equipped. Lovely Mountain View on lanai. Great hikes, restaurants, food trucks in walking distance. Walk across street to ocean cliff. Wonderful home base to relax in after experiencing the wonders of Kauai

This property is well equipped and beautifully furnished. Very comfortable and in a beautiful location -- we saw whales right from the complex by walking about a hundred yards from our door! Close to grocery store and restaurants. This property is very convenient for north shore activities, but anything else means a trip back around the island.
