Ocean View 2 bedroom, 2 Bath, single story condo at the Makahuena.

The condo was very clean and well equipped. The location was beautiful and very close to the ocean. The landscaping was well maintained. We would definitely stay there again!

Kitchen had everything we needed. We did not stop at the store first and I’m glad we didn’t! Some of the things we would have bought were already there like paper towels, hand soap, dish soap. We left coffee filters and tide pods for the next family as well. The view is very peaceful and exactly what the picture show. We enjoyed our time here in Kauai and this location was perfect to exploring the entire island! Mahalo!

AC made noise that made it difficult to sleep so we could only use one unit to cool the condo. Property is "tired" needs upgrades to furniture, doors. Bed was comfortable. The window sills and lanai area had bugs that could have been vacuumed and there was a big spider outside near AC unit. The view looks better in pictures than actually is. The beach equipment, cooler, etc. was nice to have. Property manager was responsive as the ice maker was not working and we had issues with tv that got fixed but we were inconvenienced on day one and had to schedule with them to come in to look at AC, tv, icemaker.

Very well stocked! Everything was clean and organized. The owner was very helpful and accommodating.

The condo was even better than in the pictures! Kitchen is well stocked with utensils, pots and pans. We were able to walk to the Grand Hyatt on the path by the ocean and to Poipu Beach. Both were about a 10 minute walk. The snorkeling at Poipu Beach was amazing and the turtles and monk seals on the beach were so much fun to see. Saw whales spouting from the property. There was an issue with water in the unit below us and they needed access to our condo for a short bit, but it was well communicated and handled without interrupting our day. We will definitely book here again!

Unit was clean and well equipped. Lots of kitchen items we used along with the washer and drier. We saw whales and loved the hot tub and pool. It was extremely rainy so we weren’t in the ocean but still loved our time together.

Host was very responsive prior to arrival. Excellent communication regarding check in/check out expectations. Was provided lists of local grocery stores, farmers markets, beaches, etc. Very helpful. Home was perfect for us. Full kitchen including all utensils and appliances (rice cooker, air fryer, toaster, etc.) Even had beach towels, tennis rackets/balls, cooler, beach chairs, boogie boards. Great location. Excellent overall.

This unit was wonderful, and the location was great! A public beach access was right next door that you could walk out on the rocks and watch the sunrise. It was just a short half mile walk to Poipu Beach to watch the sunset. The unit had everything you could need. Beach supplies were awesome, although flippers for the snorkel gear would have been a plus. We would definitely go back!

The kitchen set up was great and the condo was roomy. The master bedroom had one of the most comfortable beds I've slept on. We loved the location.

This was our 50th state to vist as a family. Location was key for us since we were exploring the whole island. We really enjoyed this . Its clean quiet place with a beautiful view while walking to your condo. Manager and Host easy to reach and reapond back in a timely manner. We accidentally thought we booked for our full time here but realized we missed a day. Host and manager worked worked with us and since no one was booked we were able to book another night.

The accommodations were clean, comfortable, and had all the amenities of home. The location was ideal. We really enjoyed our stay.

Wonderful stay!! The location was perfect. It had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. We loved using the pool in the evening and the pickle ball court!! Highly recommend this property to rent!

Exceeded our expectations. It hard to tell from the photos, but the property is like 100 yards from the ocean! We were able to watch whales, dolphins, and sea turtles from the lookout areas. There is also a trail that starts right to the left of the property that joins with the heritage trail/shipwreck beach nearby. Multiple boogie boards, umbrellas and chairs provided. Well stocked kitchen, comfortable beds.

Had A wonderful time. The place lived up to everything that was listed. Great view, great location, near the beach, shopping, restaurants and yet a quiet atmosphere. Every question we had when we arrived was answered promptly. Enuf supplies and cooking stuff, bed was comfort plus. Had some issues with ceiling fans but we survived. Saw whales, dolphins and sea turtles from the lanai. Thank you for a great stay!!

This was the perfect place for our family of 5! Plenty of space, great amenities, and perfect location. We definitely want to return!

While this complex is older, the condominiums themselves appear to be kept in good condition. Our condo was spacious (2 full large bedrooms and bathrooms a very nice kitchen/dining/family room open area. Communication with property management company was excellent ... they responded quickly and in a helpful manner. One side of our toaster wasn't working right and we had a new toaster in the box at our doorstep the next morning. The grounds were very well kept and we could walk downstairs to a grassy knoll area in two minutes and watch a wide-open beautiful view of sunsets.

This condo was the perfect location to most of what we planned on doing on Kauai for our 9 day stay. Loved it.

Location was perfect and the condo was comfy. Sofa bed was made up, just like we asked. Plenty of towels and the pool was nice as well.

Overall was great. Was a little disappointed with trying to get replacements for things like laundry detergent, dryer sheets and a few others. Was told the few items in the condo were all that will be provided. Had to get them on my own when they ran out which also left me with a bunch of supplies I had to leave there. Kinda of stinky under the kitchen sink. Lastly I would have the tracks on the screen doors, bifold doors and blinds get some maintenance so they work better.

Excellent location and facilities except AC/fan means NO AC and the fans are cheap so don’t work well, actually bought a $60 fan because we couldn’t sleep.

Very pleasant and accommodating host and their representative both for an early check-in and late checkout. Additionally a small issue we commanicated was immediately addressed. The apartment was super clean when we arrived. It was easy to figure out the lockbox to enter. We saw a well stocked kitchen from condiments to kitchenware and utensils. There's a newer spacious fridge, and washer dryer, all of which were very useful for our family of four. The apartment has a nice view to the beautiful ocean from the Lanai (balcony). Although there was no air conditioning as stated in the description, the cross airflow from the kitchen window, the bedrooms and if opened, the main door provided ample cooling to be comfortable. The night sky was beautiful to see from the Lanai and the grounds with clear view of the stars, and is ideal for astro photography buffs. If we were to come back again we would certainly choose this property and host again. Highly recommended.

Rodney was always quick to respond to my emails. He was always reassuring to my concerns. His manager Evelyn was my go -to person. The apartment was all one level and my family was very comfortable there from grandma to 4 year old.

Very nice condo. Complete kitchen, good wifi reception. Had umbrella, beach chairs that we used on the beach. Overall a great spot for a week's vacation.

We loved our stay in this beautiful condo. It was well equipped all around … kitchen, comfortable furniture and beds. Loved having beach items to use as well (chairs, ice chest, umbrellas) would recommend to anyone 🌺

This is a great rental property. The unit is clean and well stocked with everything you need to be comfortable…..the place just feels like home. The location can’t be beat and it is an easy drive to get anywhere on the island. The view is spectacular, we especially love seeing the whales and viewing the sunset is popular with many people staying at this property. The pool and hot tub are a nice option and fabulous beaches are within walking distance. Turtles and Monk Seals are often on the beaches. Even though there are good restaurants nearby the condo is still in a quiet neighborhood. Beat of both worlds! Can’t wait to go back!

My family of 6 (4 teens) stayed here from Jan2-9. Condo was a little tight for 6 adult sized people, but we're in Hawaii, we made it work. We ended up borrowing an air mattress from a friend and had that in the second bedroom, so only one person slept on the pull-out bed. Condo was great. We love this location in Kauai. We loved being able to watch the sun rise and set over the ocean each day. I loved sitting on the balcony each morning while I ate breakfast. One morning the whales were really putting on a show that i could just sit and enjoy watching. We loved being able to walk to the Grand Hyatt for coffee. We loved being able to walk to get a Puka dog. We loved that the turtles and monk seal beaches could be walked to, along with a snorkel beach and a boogie board beach. We loved walking and looking in the tide pools. We used the cooler a few times and enjoyed the boogie boards and chairs that came with the condo. I never cooked a dinner in the condo but the kitchen seemed well stocked. Plenty of pillows and towels. Having beach towels there was great. I would recommend this condo to anyone and would come back in a heartbeat.

1203 was very comfortable for my wife and two adult children. The unit was clean and appointed as described. The management group was ver communicative and accommodating.

Location was excellent. Nice ocean view, pool, decor, plenty of amenities from paper towels to beach chairs. Comfortable furniture and lots of fans for improved ventilation. Kitchen well-equipped. We would absolutely stay again.
