North shore Kauai w/AC & pool, near beaches

Everything about this stay was fantastic. The location, the property, the amenities, the hosts and the entire layout of this space was perfect for a couple who wanted to be able to cook some meals when they felt like it, kick back quietly and do some laundry if needed. Close to Hanalei and Kilauea. What a garden paradise!

This condo is perfect for a couple and is located in the best part of Kauai (Princeville / Hanalei). Has all you need and more for an amazing Hawaiian vacation. The owners thought of everything. Host is a very nice couple that live right downstairs and kindly greeted us when we arrived. Well stocked kitchen, all the beach gear you need, laundry and a huge TV to enjoy after a day out exploring. This was a great stay for us at a fair and affordable price. Highly recommended!

We had a fantastic stay; the condo was a great size, well-appointed, clean, and supplied with plenty of things to make our trip better. The location was very convenient, walking distance to a couple of beaches, good restaurants and a grocery store.

2nd time here. Im not much of a writer. We love this place and the hosts.

The most perfect location with everything you might need. Very cute condo, bonus points for the beautiful pool on the property. We only had a bit of trouble with parking on the first night but we got there late, so maybe plan to arrive before sunset if you want to have a spot. When renting, I prefer when the bed sheets and towels are white or a lighter color. Here they were all quite dark, but everything still looked super clean. The A/C at night was absolutely great. Being on the second floor gives you a nice little view on the ocean and makes it easier to avoid getting bugs or other little friends inside. Tony was also very helpful. Great spot, I highly recommend!

We swam there every day. There are many beautiful beaches nearby, one which can be accessed by walking from the condo down a steep trail. Tony and Judith are lovely, friendly and accommodating hosts who live downstairs so you have easy access if you have questions or needs. I highly recommend Hoku Lani.

The kitchen is well-appointed, the living room comfortable, the bedroom didn't require a.c during out time there in early june and ther whole house is filled with "goodies:" from a small cooler perfect to take fishing or to the beach to beach equipment to plush beach towels to ice packs.tony & judth themselves are incredibly generous hosts who do out of their way to make sure their guests have everything they need, even if the property itself occasionally conspires against them (e.g. the parking situation was kind of a mess when we were there, but tony gave us his spot when we needed one!). one note of caution (having NOTHING to do with tony & judith): the pool area is completely unlit at night so if you are using the grill late (i.e. past 8p), BE CAREFUL! the chairs & tables become invisible in the darkness and it is very easy to hurt yourself as you walk past. (fwiw, this was brought to the attention of the board, but was ignored.) otherwise, tony & judith's place is a little piece of heaven. my favorite location on the north shore and just an absolutely perfect place to spend a few fays or a few weeks in paradise.

If you’re on the fence, but have decided on Princeville area and want A/C in the bedroom so you can guarantee you’ll sleep comfortably without the roosters waking you up at the crack of dawn, book Tony’s place before someone else can snag it. Princeville is an absolute treasure and Tony’s place is a gem. So many amenities for the price without the hustle and bustle of a resort. Warm pool that was never crowded, spotless communal grill with a sink/clean up area, beautiful views from the lanai, washer and dryer with detergent and a ton of beach gear including a cooler that was better than anything we’ve rented, boogie boards, many chairs and an umbrella that held strong on windy days. Not to mention Tony and his wife are the sweetest most down to earth hosts we’ve met on our travels - they live in the unit below and are close by to assist with anything or suggest beaches that the best guidebooks ignore. The icing on the cake was stargazing with Tony multiple nights with his super fancy telescopes. He’s eager to share his knowledge and if you’re into space (or know very little like me) you’re in for a real treat. Location is amazing for the many secluded and harder to get to beaches up north as well as some good eating in Hanalei or Kilauea. If you’re in the right season, you may see albatrosses in a nearby neighborhood. We’ll definitely be back and will recommend to any family or friends heading to the amazing island of Kauai. Loved staying here for our week long stay in Kauai. The condo was spotless, bed was comfy and it stayed cool despite being warm outside. It's so serene and peaceful, plus having a kitchen at home was great to utilize for making meals when we didn't want to eat out. Tony was such a gracious host and made us feel right at home. He has a ton of beach things (towels, boogie boards, chairs, etc) that were super helpful.

Our condo was clean, comfortable and nicely furnished. We were able to get to all of our favorite spots easily and had a great vacation. We will definitely be coming back.

The condo was perfect. It had everything we needed for our stay. We loved having the chairs and snorkel equipment available for our use. The host Tony and the property manager were both excellent to deal with. We had a flat tire and they both worked hard tiet us on our way quickly.

Our stay was exceptional. The property was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. It had a nice deck where we could enjoy drinks in the evening or have a quick breakfast before our day began. The kitchen was fully equipped, the living room was very comfortable, as was the bed and pillows. They also have a nice sized washer and dryer which came in very handy! It was the perfect spot and felt like our home away from home. Thank you!!

Very pleasant location. Second floor location with Owner below. Well kept and clean. Nice pool area, pool and covered grilling patio at pool. Beaches, shopping and restaurants minutes away. Owner provided beach gear for guest use very handy.

My friend and I stayed here on our recent trip to the island and absolutely love the condo. Tony was super welcoming and so kind he checked in on us when we passed through and we loved chatting with him. He was very, very sweet offered to take us stargazing after we requested. It was a beautiful condo. The beds were comfortable, plenty of clean towels and linens and a lot of beach accessories. That were very nice for them to provide snorkeling gear beach chairs wakeboard Towels, lots of sunscreen, etc. they even provide us with a fresh water, pineapple and some local chips we really loved staying here. Thought the place was very clean. Very nice. The neighborhood is also very very cool. There’s a beach you can walk down to via a little jungle walk and then there’s also some mountains walking distance from a little park coffeeshops, and grocery store very very great neighborhood and area. Absolutely loved staying here and maybe I’ll come back with my parents.

We were very satisfied and delighted with our accommodations at Tony and Judith’s condo. The layout of the space was excellent. Tony has anticipated the needs of his guests extremely well. And he is readily available if you have questions. We prepared at least two meals a day in the kitchen and found it to be well stocked with cooking utensils. As with all rental units, if possible, do bring your own chef knife. Tony offered to show us the night sky with his powerful telescopes but the weather did not cooperate. We hope to return one day for a second visit.

We had an amazing stay! We spent the first 4 nights of our honeymoon in Princeville before heading to the south side of the island. This rental was spotless clean and so cozy. They have every beach amenity you could need (chairs, umbrella, snorkel sets, bougie boards..). The owner lives in the unit downstairs and even took us one evening to see the comet in the night sky! We were able to drive very easily to all of the nearby beaches. Hanalei was a very safe beach for swimming which we loved. Can’t wait to come back!

We recently stayed at this property and it was a fantastic experience! The attention to detail in the upkeep of the property was evident throughout my stay. The location of the property was great. It’s situated close to all the essential spots—restaurants, shops, and attractions—making it convenient for exploring the area. Whether you’re looking for a quiet retreat or easy access to local highlights, this place offers the perfect balance. The owner went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed and were available to answer questions. The only A/C in the unit is in the bedroom. It got warm in the living area in the afternoon and evening, but there are plenty of fans, and the bedroom gets nice and cold, so it wasn't a problem for us. Overall, I highly recommend this rental property to anyone looking for a top-notch experience. It combines cleanliness, a prime location, and exceptional service for a stay that’s truly worth five stars!

Tony and his lovely wife were such kind hosts. They made us feel very welcome and Tony loved sharing his knowledge about the island and things to do with us. We are sad that we missed out on a stargazing session, would have been very interesting. Maybe next time. The apartment was very spacious, clean and provided everything we needed and more. Tony's home was the perfect retreat to come back to after full days of exploring the island. The space was well stocked with everything we needed from kitchen supplies to beach towels and sunblock. Tony was a warm, friendly, and wonderful host.

Short walk down to a public beach from the condo but basically private as we were down there in the mornings by ourselves to take in the calm ocean view. Our host, Tony, and his wife live downstairs and we're so welcoming and accommodating while we were there. They even helped us celebrate my wife's birthday which ended up being his also! Just lovely people. This was a perfect spot for us to come home to after days of hiking, surfing, snorkeling and many other activities. Two minutes from the shops, store and restaurants at Princeville. Will stay there again!!

My husband and I vacationed in Kauai for the 3rd time in 6 years. We got married in Poipu in 2018 and fell in love with the island. This trip was our 2nd time staying on the North shore and it did not disappoint. Hoku Lani was perfect for us. The location and property were wonderful. There are so many beaches within a short drive of the property. There is a beautiful golf course within walking distance. There is also shopping with a grocery store, post office and restaurants within a mile. We walked there a couple times during our stay. We highly recommend Hideaway Pizza, Happy Talk lounge at Hanaoei Bay Resort and 1 Hotel Hanalei Bay. The Sugarcane Blaze cocktai at 1 Hotel Hanalei is a Must try. If you love Mexican food, try Pacos Tacos in Kapaa…muy delicioso. I had the chicken taco salad and my husband had the carnitas burrito. Both were excellent! There are so many places I could recommend but I’d run out of room to write :) The hosts, Tony and Judith were very hospitable and friendly. The condo provided all the amenities to enjoy while at the beach or pool. The pool is very close and water temperature perfect. We spent every morning relaxing on the balcony while drinking our coffee. Overall, Great condo, location and entire stay. Aloha

Without a doubt the hosts of this rental made our visit to the island the most memorable of our stay. We have been to Kaua’i numerous times, the first on our Honeymoon, November 1972. We’ve stayed in hotels, condos, and houses. It was the personality, attitude and graciousness of Tony and Judith that made us welcome and part of their Ohana. Tony and Judith invited us to their tiny apartment and prepared a scrumptious Hungarian dinner. After the dinner, master guitarist, Tony played rock and roll songs which we joyously sang together. Tony can play any genre of music as shown by his massive collection. The clincher was Gale and I rented EV without knowledge of how many miles it would convey us and how far it would travel on 15% power?! We made it back to Kilauea, found a charging station and hooked up the vehicle with Tony’s help with Judith and Gale patiently waiting. The next morning our host’s delivered us back to the EV charged up and raring to go! I jumped over from Kona, but wanted to extend my trip a few more days. The host was very pleasant extremely gracious in all his offerings! I was not there much, I was out enjoying Kaua’i as much as possible. But the place was excellent for my trip, I did not cook but they have a wonderful place to do so, and a cozy comfortable place to chill as well. The bed & pillows were like a soft cloud, perfect for me. They have a place to spray your feet before entering, which was nice & everything you truly would need. I didn’t go to the pool, but it did look like a great place to hang out as well. Never seen lots of people there, only a few. The parking was never an issue for me, I always found a spot to park. I would definitely recommend this place, excellent decor and a lovely vibe to end my trip!!! Thanks Tony and best wishes!!! Mahalo ps. We met our hosts upon arrival to the rental, they were inviting and absolutely wonderful! The property is exactly as advertised and is stocked with essentials and other little touches that put this host/property above and beyond others! The condo is very clean and comfortable, after long days of exploring the island, it was nice to come back to a place that felt like home. I highly recommend this location and specifically this rental to anyone who is looking for a place to stay. If the stars align, we will definitely be rebooking in the future!

The drive to our accommodations was easy and absolutely beautiful. While the condo area was well laid out, it was a little confusing in the dark, but there is a lighted map of the area by the mailboxes, so that was very helpful. Our hosts heard us outside and met us at the door, and we’re just delightful. Once we were in our rental, it was very clean, exactly like the photos and just lovely. Everything we expected and more. You can’t really go very far without a beach or an area of interest for a good photo op. Being on the northeast side, rain was plentiful but blew over quick during the day, and in the morning you can see amazing waterfalls on the way to Hanalai. It was our 25th wedding anniversary and our hosts gave us a very memorable time. It was our 3rd island, but it just might be our favorite!

We really enjoyed our time here! The owner and his wife are incredibly hospitable and thoughtful. The condo is well equipped with everything you need! We bought groceries at Safeway and made use of the BBQ by the pool. No one else was using it when we were there late January, early February. The decor is beautiful and the bed is comfortable. The added bonus of this condo is Tony the manager, we were unable to stargaze as there were cloudy skies every night. The last night there Tony played guitar and sang songs and shared his history with me, I will never forget this experience the rest of my life.

Wow, this place is awesome! It is clean, roomy, well located, well cared for and just a jewel. That would be plenty to rate 5 star but then they kicked it up many notches. The owners who live downstairs are spectacular people. They are kind and caring and they are there to serve. You won’t go wrong renting this unit!!!
