Newly Remodeled Ocean View Condo, 2 bedroom, 2 bath, No stairs!

Good location, clean, nice layout

This was fine, but I wouldn’t choose it again. It definitely looked better in photos to me. The windows, window coverings and carpet in the bedrooms need to be replaced. The cleaning could be better as well. There was lizard or bird poop all over the inside of the window sills in the dining room, as well as on the outside of the bedroom and bathroom windows. We’ve stayed in a lot of complexes in Princeville and this was one of the worst for management of the chickens. All the sidewalks and grasses had bird feces everywhere, it was like walking through a mine field. I know that’s not within the hosts realm of control but I think it should be mentioned so people are aware. And that they will be woken up at all hours by the roosters and since there isn’t air conditioning in warmer months keeping the windows open for sleeping might be challenging. Location is great, you can walk down the road for great views of the ocean. The pool and hot tub are nice and were rarely very busy. Patio is nice as well. We never used it though because of the chickens and the mess they were leaving. We also couldn’t find a broom there so it wasn’t even something we could clean. One other thing that management or the host should have mentioned was that the water was going to be turned off the first morning of our stay and there was bulldozers parked right in front of the bedroom windows for two days. We didn’t end up being without water but it was noisy and we just should have been given a heads up.

This place was so well stocked! From a fully stocked kitchen to beach chairs, umbrella, and boogie boards, the condo had everything we needed to feel at home and really enjoy ourselves. The pool and hot tub were nearly empty all week, so we had what felt like a private pool. Property was well maintained, great location in princeville with easy access to beaches and Halanalei Bay. As others have said, the birds are very friendly.

Location of room was good and pool snd jacuzzi access was great along with filtered water. Without AC we were required to purchase a larger fan to cool off the master bedroom and the sun facing room with twin beds was a hot humid box each night. I would love to return, but without air conditioning there’s no way that I could endure seven more days in the humidity of the apartment. But overall, it was a good vacation and loved the back porch .

Great location. Just like the pics. Kitchen well equipped and the pool just a short walk across the parking lot. Used the toys to go to the beach. Had a problem with the door lock (electronic so these things happen) but Kristin was there to work on it literally within 5 minutes. Lock was replaced. Would stay there again.

This condo is reasonably nice, though in need of some attention. The screen doors to the patio needed new screens and rollers and the master bathroom sInk drained a bit slowly. These things were minor but two others were not: 1. The unit is not air conditioned. We suffered for our mistake of booking it in August.2. Roosters are everywhete. They are territorial and NOISY. At all hours.One alpha enjoyed crowing throughout the night... at,say, 3,4,5,6 AM RIGHT UNDER OUR BEDROOM WINDOW. Difficult to enjoy a vacation on no sleep.For these reasons, I would not rent this unit again.

Found place to be a bit dated and noisy. Roosters crawling keeps you awake starting 4am and it was difficult to shut close windows due to broken handles. Although the place is at a convenient location won’t stay here in future trips.

Amazing place, I would come back in a heartbeat. The host never answered my questions prior to the stay.

We enjoyed the condo. It was clean and had everything we needed. It also had a pool with a hot tub that we enjoyed and there were 4 Weber gas grills that were clean and well maintained. Nearby beaches were great as well. We would go back again. We had a great stay on Kauai.

Our three-night stay as a family of 4 at this condo was fine, but not amazing. The condo had a couple of issues (one toilet not working properly and one light/fan glitching causing the light in our kids’ room to turn on repeatedly). The property manager was great - very responsive and happy to help get issues fixed. The fixtures were also dated and that combined with location, lack of a/c (which meant windows needed to be open at all times and kids were woken by roosters at night (not a unique issue)) left us feeling like it wasn’t worth what we paid for it. Next time we stay in Princeville, we’ll sacrifice the partial ocean view for closer proximity to Hanalei.

Great location. Perfect for 2 couples or small family. The pocket door essentially turns the 2 twins into a guest suite with bathroom. Would stay again

We have been to Kauai many time and stayed at many many places. Your condo at Ali'i Kai was the perfect little getaway location for us. The development was very nice but not too crowded. The unit was close to the pool and had a lovely patio overlooking a lush ravine and a little ocean view. We had all of the beach toys and kitchen gadgets we could ever need. We will definitely return!!!

This location had gorgeous views and a sense of serenity,. The condo had everything we needed to enjoy the surrounding amenities. We would definitely return.

All amenities on the cheaper side. Sheets were very poor and lowest quality. Pillows were uncomfortable and extra ones had no pillows covers. Toilet paper not stocked. Cheap toaster wouldn’t hold one slice of bread. Some window openers broken and didn’t work. Lighting horrible in bathrooms and bedrooms. Would not stay here again. Not enough laundry detergent to wash the towels they expected us to.

Condo was great. Clean, well equipped. Nice pool near by. No ac….which was no problem with beautiful ocean breezes but the roosters were loud starting at 3am. After our first night the fans provided nice white noise!

Loved our stay here! The pool is just out the front door which made using the grill easy for us. Pictures in the listing are accurate to the condo. Close by grocery store and restaurants, just a short drive to Hanalei town too! Perfect lodging for our group of 4.

This princeville condo is just as described with a perfect location in front of the pool area. The backyard has a semi view of the ocean. The condo was clean, comfortable and full of supplies to make our stay. Communication with the property manager/owner is easy with clear instructions. There’s a foodland right outside of Princeville for some groceries. Perfect vacation at a perfect location!!

Location was ideal, the beds were super comfortable after days with exploring (cushioning yet firm) and the unit's amenities made for a brief yet memorable stay. The benefit of a washer and dryer in the unit, clean clothing items while vacationing and returning home. The large patio doors allowed for the outside setting to come inside. 10 min drive - close to Hanalei for the beach, touring and food.

The condo was perfect for our needs and in a wonderful location. Nice home base from which to explore the island. Grocery store and beautiful walking path nearby. Lovely back garden from the patio to watch the sunset. The manager was very responsive and helpful.

This condo is well maintained, very comfortable, totally clean, and well located for visiting the gorgeous beaches and other sights of northern Kauai. I would wholeheartedly recommend it for anyone looking for a two-bedroom getaway stay.

We were happy with the condo and its location in Princeville. Basically, it was just as presented in VRBO. We had to use a car to do anything outside of swimming in the condo pool, but we were not surprised.

Perfect spot for exploring the North Shore of Kauai. Food and beaches just minutes away. My family also took advantage of the on-site pool and hot tub. Would stay here again.

The Pool was amazing, and the view from the Lanai was incredible. Beach supplies were helpful. Comfortable beds and nice bathroom and showers. Fun experience.

Overall we had no issues with the unit. Everything we needed was there. While not a new unit, it was in very nice shape. There were a couple issues which the property manager quickly took care of, so all in all it was good and we would certainly return. Unfortunately the resort hot tub was out of order for the week, but that was not a problem with the unit, just the resort. We just spent more time on the beach!.

Property was as advertised. Good location. Drama free (always welcome)! Beach equipment availabilty was hugely appreciated. Furniture is a little dated (didn’t really bother us frankly). The only ding is the lack of A/C which was clearly communicated. It could get a little warm at night but the bigger issue was nighttime noise from the parking lot and the roosters in the morning. Just kind of amplified it because all the windows had to be open. All in all would not hesitate to recommend.

Felt like home. Nicely stocked kitchen was very much appreciated.

Great property that we would definitely stay in again

My friend and I enjoyed a very peaceful and relaxing stay at this accommodation. It is very well equipped with all amenities needed, and then some. There is no air conditioning, but this isn’t much of an issue due to the island breezes. We were there during a particularly hot time, and it was manageable. The hosts even provided us with an extra fan. Some highlights were listening to the bird’s morning and evening, and heading to the nearby beaches, well equipped with beach chairs snorkels, and other items provided. Excellent experience!

We enjoyed our condo soooo much. We took advantage the beautiful pool and grill. We met so many lovely people at the pool. I miss my rooster George. If you stay he s the big one and he knows his name now. He likes popcorn and bread. Wish I could have taken him home.

We've been in Princeville multiple times now. The place is nice for a family stay, with multiple children. It is not a long walk towards the edge of Princeville where you get a great Ocean View of the northshore of Kauai. Also great kitchen, fully stocked spice cabinet and complementary coffee. This unit is phase II of Alii Kai, so a bit newer than the Ocean View units. Although real estate agent tells me the better locations correspond to older development. The only downside is chicken start cooing early in the morning, so that might wake you up.

This condo totally suited our family’s needs. It was clean, comfortable, and had all the amenities of home. We loved sitting outside in the mornings as well as in the evenings to look at the stars. It was also convenient to Hanalei, where we spent a lot of our time, and the beautiful beaches. We greatly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it. Mahalo!

This property exceeded our expectations! The condo was well appointed and very clean, it honestly did not lack anything we needed. The rooms were lovely, the living area was spacious, and the view was beautiful! It was so nice to have a corner unit on the ground floor, complete with a fully stocked outdoor activities locker. The condo is close to the beautiful pool and BBQ area, and there is lots of parking right out front. We also liked how close we were to Hanalei. We have stayed in several condos in Hawaii, and this is by far our best experience. Mahalo, Terry!

This is the perfect place to stay on your vacation to Kauai! The location is quiet, close to the best snorkeling on the island, the best hikes, the best sunsets, and anything else you could ask for.

Great neighborhood to stay in… this corner location of the building was perfect and really nice with having kids since it’s ground level. They had a good amount of pool and beach toys in the storage closet. Kitchen was nice and the space was overall spacious for 2 adults and 2 kids. Pool was nice and conveniently located.

We love Princeville and this place has a great wooded view with peek-a-boo views of the ocean. Plenty of birds and chickens came right up to our patio door. It was clean and comfortable, plenty of pillows. Nice kitchen. We really appreciated the well stocked closet of beach toys and supplies, including a cooler. The property pool is pretty basic and the grills are a little finicky, but that's not the host's fault and we preferred the beach anyhow. Only problem we had was that we couldn't figure out how to lower the blinds in one bedroom, but it faced to the back anyhow so it wasn't a big issue.

My husband and I stayed for 8 nights and were very happy with our accommodation. We didn’t do any cooking but the kitchen seemed to have all you would need. The master bed was very comfortable. We could see the ocean from the patio although it was a ways off. The property is in a beautiful location.

4 of us stayed at the property and it was perfect for us. Location is great, price was great and we didn't feel like spending an enormous amount to stay in a place we weren't going to be in. The property was clean, easily accessible, and great if you love watching birds. Kauai has chickens all over the property and the Nene's (Geese) are not shy in saying hi. Only complaints would be that the dryer isn't the best, and hot tub was broken during our stay but was being repaired as we left. Other than that the owners provide beach chairs, boogie boards, snorkeling equipment, and loads of other things which are perfect for Kauai. There is tons of golf courses, and food spots near by, so if you are looking for a Kauai adventure and want to spend most of your money on activities this place is amazing. The owners are very responsive, and it was an absolute pleasure staying here.

Ours was a return stay as we rented this condo unit for last year’s March vacation. That we wished to rent this particular unit again should speak volumes for how much we liked the location & amenities of this property. This unit was just as clean & comfortable as it was last year. We used the king sized bed which was very comfortable. Both of us had our own bathroom & each were very nice with walk in showers with rolling glass doors & attractive tiling. The living room furniture provided was comfortable & is in good condition. It was so nice to open up the sliding glass lanai doors in the mornings. We left the screen doors closed because we were visited by birds that may have walked in! Unlike many Kauai rentals, the lanai has an open garden view with the ocean in the distance. The kitchen is spacious & fully stocked with everything to prepare meals. We liked the condo being all ground floor with no stairs to deal with. There was always ample open parking & no through traffic as the property is located near the end of a street with the cliffs overlooking the ocean just beyond. We would love to stay here again if we return to Kauai in the future!

Condo was very clean and just like the pictures. Very relaxing on the north side of the island. We had the windows open night and day letting the nice ocean breeze come through. The kitchen didnt have a lot of spices but we left some for the next guest. 🙂🙂🙂 Kitchen was well equipped I really like that they had tubberware most places dont have tubberware. Lots of chickens! Had an amazing chill time here. Thank you

Condo is lovely. Lots of amenities for guests. Would definitely stay again. Very clean, exactly like photos in posting. Very short walk to pool and hot tub, which was a bonus. Very quiet location.

This rental was excellent. The location, the beautiful garden views, the closeness to the pool, etc. Wonderful. The rental had everything we needed. The beach closet with toys/etc was excellent. All in all, we had a wonderful time. Just a few insights that will help future renters. We had a young family staying above us (2nd floor) and it was noisy at times. Sound travels from top floor to bottom floor. Just for awareness. Additionally, the Master bedroom windows look out to the parking lot. Not the best blinds in the room, so lights from the parking area will light up the master bedroom a little a night (it is not a dark room). These are just insights, but does not influence our overall ranking and review. Excellent and we would return.

We were very happy with this property. It was in a very quiet location with easy parking and a heated pool and hot tub. The condo was very well outfitted with plenty of towels, plenty of kitchen supplies (including spices and condiments), and a closet full of beach accessories. The condo is a bit dated (didn’t bother us)but has everything you could possibly require. Being on the ground floor, we could hear the heavy walkers from above us. You will not need an alarm - the roosters will wake you up!

Good impression. Listing should state “distant” ocean view. But very nice to see. Can easily walk a couple of blocks and see the wide expanse of the ocean. That was excellent!! One has to put up with the chickens here. We could sit on the patio for only short periods of time..It’s much better to stay on the north shore. The south is busier with traffic and people. All in all, a great vacation on this beautiful island!!!

My husband and I stayed here with another couple and enjoyed the amenities. The pocket door was nice to create privacy with 2 ensuite bathrooms. The washer and dryer were utilized and worked well. The entire condo was very clean. We appreciated the fully stocked kitchen with anything we were in need of, utensil-wise! Towels were well-stocked and wi-fi worked well. We were comfortable with fans and blankets provided. Did not use any TVs (who watches TV in Hawaii?!), but did love the pool and hot tub in the evenings. Would stay again in a heartbeat!
