Gated cottage, 3 blocks to beach, A/C Close to Tunnels. Lots of outdoor space

Never needed AC, 1 min drive to Tunnels- which we did every am. Good layout for 2 couples. Comfort with wildlife a must.

This was a very nice place to stay at for our 2nd week on Kauai, perfect for 4 people. Each bedroom has a separate AC unit, plus one in the living room, which kept the house very comfortable, although we didn’t use it that much since the temps were mild the week were there in April. The kitchen was well-appointed, even a coffee grinder. We loved having breakfast out on the lanai. Overall, highly recommended.

We had a wonderful time at your home. The house and deck were clean and enjoyable. Loved the birds, geckos, and roosters! The downstairs outside needs some attention though. Lots of ants on ground and on some furniture, tabletops dirty, snorkeling equipment dirty and jumbled, and removing dead branches is needed. Corner with chairs and umbrella was unusable. *See photos The recent storm probably didn’t help, hopefully you’ve been able to get over there and do some maintenance. Overall though we had a great time and enjoyed our visit.

It was very comfortable and well stocked. Great location to some beautiful beaches and Hanalei Bay.

Easy, hassle free experience. Home is just as advertised and in a great location on the north shore. We had a great experience and would love to rent again in the future.

House near Tunnel beach. Big house but not kept well. We arrived and the house was not cleaned. We found unmade beds, dirty restrooms, kitchen untidy, dishwasher with dirty plates and fridge with food left from the previous guest. We had to call the owner 4/5 times before she answered. And when she did she didn't even apologize for the mess. She sended a girl that did what she could, I had to take the kids to the beach because their were shocked by the experience and didn't want to stay!! My mother stayed below and waited. My mother checked the cleaning and pointed out it was still dirty (dead mosquitos, webbs and dirt on the patio floor). The owner decided to let her come the next day for a "deep cleaning". So the next day we had to leave the apartment so they could clean!! The space under the house was crowed with tables, sofas and chairs. Very untidy. The bine (waste) area in in full sight and was not emptied. We also found the washing machine full of dirty towels that we started and then also dry cleaned!! This is all unacceptable so I asked Vrbo of a refund of the cleaning fee. They accepted. Thank you Vrbo excellent client service!

Nice little house very close to beach with lots of outdoor space. It is quite at night as traffic stops. Easy to get to Na Pali coast and great north shore beaches. Host was responsive to any questions and concerns.

Good home base for exploring the area. Short walk to beaches, had no problem asking the shuttle to pick s up at the nearby resort. Overall a very good stay!

Yes the house is nice. Little things that annoyed me were the shower hear in the guest bath has to be held while you shower and there were lots of spider webs in the driveway and on porch but no in the house. The house had good cooking ammenities and and complimentary coffee

Donna always has everything set with the house and we enjoy the short walk to the beach and all the fantastic recreation opportunities

Donna was welcoming,I reached out with questions about a light in the dining room and the grill outside,and she came by within 2 hours to take care of things. Very attentive. Very well equipped kitchen with everything we needed to prepare lovely meals during our stay.

Beautiful place, wonderful amenities. Nice to have laundry access given how rainy this part of the island is! Beds were comfortable and the space was clean. Check in was easy and clear. Good signage for WiFi and TV was appreciated. Nice to have beach gear to use while there!It’s a 15 minute drive to Hanalei Bay and there are several one lane bridges and some construction so just be wary of the road conditions.A lovely stay!

The location felt like we were IN the jungle which was a cool experience! Very quiet and peaceful location as well. Very homey overall and comfortable kitchen with a lot of counter space.

This house had mostly pros (and some cons). Pros - great location, very tropical foliage, close to Hanalei area for shopping and groceries, coffee shop 3 minute walk away, incredibly close beach access, great showers beds (actually comfortable!), enough towels and dishes for spares, working TV with HDMI that we used to plug in our laptop / watch our own shows, nice washer and dryer, actually working AC in each bedroom in the living space, and great communication with the host!Cons - there were a lot of spiders outside, we’d wipe down the cobwebs each day and they’d be back the next day. There’s not much the host can really do about that, as the foliage is going to bring them in no matter what. It didn’t bother us but just a heads up! Luckily we had no bug issues indoors.

Host was very accommodating, we extended our stay 1 day! The location was perfect with a beautiful peaceful patio. We could not have asked for a better place to stay for our elopement/honeymoon. A/C was amazing and everything is updated! Such a beautiful home. We will definitely be back!!

Kitchen was stocked, air conditioning and fans cooled down the house quickly, and it was a short drive to Hā’ena state park, Hā’ena beach, and the Hanalei area. Donna was a helpful and responsive host!

We have been coming to Kauai for over 25 years and this was by far the best accommodations. The house was clean, updated and had everything you could need. We stayed for two weeks, and didn’t want to leave. The owner is so accommodating and responsive. She is the best we’ve ever dealt with. We definitely will be back to this property as we loved everything about it.

The house is exactly as described, and was perfect for our stay. The property is well-maintained, with many thoughtful amenities.Donna is a very helpful and proactive host who makes herself available should guests require assistance.The house is in a remote location, which we were aware of, and was why we chose to stay here. It is walkable to excellent beaches, and a 15-ish minute drive to Hanalei for restaurants and groceries.

This is a lovely house in a lovely spot. Close to the great beaches of the north shore while still just a short drive to Hanalei. The place was clean. The kitchen well equipped. Fans and a/c galore, absolutely ice cold when we walked in! (We kept it much higher after that.) There's plenty of sitting areas in the house, on the balcony, and down the bottom. And the beach gear and snorkelling gear was in good condition and was good quality. For a party looking for two bedrooms, this is the perfect choice.

Location is perfect if you are the type looking to be away from touristy areas yet not too far when you need to shop.We walked to Tunnels beach which is good because there is barely no parking at this amazing beach.There is so much beach chairs, boogie boards, masks and fins, coolers and our favorite, a boogie to carry everything!Thank you so much! Really nice location in Haena. Short walk to the beach and coffee. About a 20 minute walk to tunnels beach. Quiet neighborhood. The place was very clean, good AC, well stocked kitchen. Lots of private space to hang out. Loved our stay!

Our home away from home on the North Shore! Comfortable rooms, well-equipped kitchen, excellent a/c, tons of beach gear! 5 minute walk to Kepuhi Beach, 5 minute drive to Tunnels or Ke'e, 15 minutes to Hanalei. Donna is super responsive. Exceeded all our expectations!

Beautiful, spacious home with everything you need. Comfy beds. Gorgeous views. Short walk to the beach, which was quiet. Donna was a gracious host and helped us out when the Hanalei Bridge was shut down for the day due to unexpected flooding. We hated to leave and would definitely return.

We had a wonderful stay at the property on our sixth trip to the island. Having stayed in Poipu, Kapa'a, and Princeville, this was one of our favorite locations and properties. The cottage was as advertised. The outdoor spaces were plentiful, the living/dining room was very comfortable, and the proximity to the beach could was convenient. We would be happy to stay here again.

We have stayed in many places near here for 45 yrs. This place was great! The rest of our family were in a house nearby, we had grandkids over and there is so much room under house in the “outdoor living area”.

This property has everything you need for a fun day at the beach. We Went snorkeling at Tunnels Beach and it was great. The kitchen is well stocked and the beds very comfortable! The outdoor seating is GREAT. We truly enjoyed our 3 nights here

Although the house is close to the main road (some noise during the day) it is a good point to explore the beaches by foot. Swimming/snorkeling is only possible at Tunnels beach. Go early by car or take time and walk along the beach. walking the parallel roads is comfortable.

Walk to tunnels beach from your place, check. Walk to Napali Coast and hike, check. Stay away from the crowd with quiet, check. Great AC, great space and rooms, WiFi, and lounge area, check. There are very few places you can find this after visiting this island many times. I highly recommend, including Donna who was very reliable and a pleasure to work with. If you want a real local experience not a resort with thousands of people, I highly encourage you to stay here.

The home was clean and comfy - lots of seating options. Well appointed kitchen. Liked having the coolers available so we could take picnics on our adventures. The beach chairs and boogie boards were great to have too. Would stay here again!

Our family of 4 stayed here for 3 nights and it was perfect. Loved the location and the property itself. I felt so relaxed here, like it was home. It was a short walk to a beach where you could walk down to Tunnels if you wanted to. Traffic and construction made it a little tough to get to Hanalei and east shores, but we still did it and enjoyed our time there. Times flies while you’re on vacation and this was one I definitely didn’t want to end. The place was wonderful and when I make it back to Kauai, this is where I’ll stay.

We absolutely loved staying at Donna’s place. It’s such a cool area with the beach and coffee shop only a five minute walk. I can’t tell in words how much we loved staying there. Definitely would stay there again.

Close enough to Hanalei, but far enough away to be private and its own little oasis. It truly has everything you need. We will definitely be back. Thank you, Donna!

Everything exactly as advertised and as do many have reviewed. Great location and possibly the best vacation rental we’ve ever stayed at. North Shore Kauai is a special place and proximity to amazing beaches and Hanalei restaurants made this a great time. Make sure to stop by Hanalei Ouzza for a slice and The Dolphin for drinks, a great steak and lobster tail, and amazing syshi!

We loved our stay on the north shore. The house was perfect for our family. We really enjoyed the natural beauty and the close proximity to the beach. Lovely!!

We visit Kaua’i regularly to see family. We decided to stay up in Ha’ena this time. If you love quiet and being surrounded by rainforest and close to the beach this is the place. We love the beach but enjoyed our mornings listening to birds and taking in the oxygen levels of the rainforest. Close to Lahina and some of our favorite beaches this was a great stay.

We enjoyed our stay at the cottage. We loved being within walking distance to the beach for our morning walks. The cottage is well equiped with everything we needed. It has a great outdoor space. We would love to stay here again!

The cottage was perfect for our 4 night stay. The location is remote, but that is what we loved about it. The cottage was the perfect size, nicely updated kitchen, and clean beds/baths. Will definitely come back to this magical place and will stay here again.

We were completely enchanted by our stay here. It reminded me of the beach cottages I used to stay in as a child but with all the modern amenities! Plenty of beach gear provided and the perfect snorkeling beach a couple of blocks away. We loved it so much we had to extend our stay. Our host Donna, was readily available to answer all our questions and offered many helpful suggestions. All in all, an A+ adventure!

What a beautiful property. Perfectly equipped for me and my husband’s honeymoon. We even made friends with the neighborhood cat. Loved the whole vibe of the place and how it mirrors that of the north side of the island. Would definitely rent again! Also, I’m from a dry climate and was worried about warm, humid nights, but the ample air conditioning available in the home was wonderful and provided for very comfortable sleeps.
