Ground-Floor, Ocean-View Haven with Lanai, Tennis, Resort Pool, and Beach Access

Electronic front door lock unlocked to get us in the first night but didn’t work the next seven nights. Called the emergency service no one answered and the voicemail was full. We had to leave the back screen door unlocked so we could get in and out of our condo. Gate code didn’t work the last night we were there so we had to park on the street luckily the car didn’t get towed. Vacasa never emailed us back with any kind of compensation or explanation

We were very fortunate to have found this beautiful comfortable condo with exceptional view of the ocean and palm trees. Comfortable lanai furniture and table made it a pleasure to sit outside and watch the ocean, whales, boats and birds. The King size bed was very comfortable, and the large oversized shower was a great feature. Beautiful ocean views from the kitchen, dining room and living room. Very private and secure condo.

The unit was impeccably clean, had stunning views and was beautifully decorated. Would have given it 5 stars, however the response time of local folks was very slow. For example, only one beach towel was provided and for a party of two, we asked on day 1 for second beach towel. We were told by very responsive Portland-based customer service agent that they have contacted local team. Six days later, we never did get that second beach towel. The beach accessories were in mediocre shape and one beach umbrella was broken. No swimming pool gate code was provided and again had to wait for Portland-based customer service to find out. The guidelines said to put a parking pass in dash of car - turns out that is not needed. The entry to villas has a coded gate. No gate code was provided and luckily that day the front reception office person was there and she made a code for us (she is not always there so in case it happened on a day when she was not there, you would have no way of getting in). Overall, I would say - excellent place, but they need to get some tips on hosting better (for example, provide a little guest booklet with all relevant information (Gate code for pool, gate code for entry to complex, enough beach towel for all guests and updated beach paraphernalia). With better local attention to these details, this is a 5-star potential place.

We had an excellent stay at Kapalua Bay Villas. The condo is well-appointed, with a beautiful kitchen and wonderful large bathroom—I already miss the room-sized shower! The view from the Lanai is superb, with a magnificent view of the ocean and sunsets. The condo's location, near beaches, parks, stores, and restaurants, is also excellent. There's also a lovely beach at the base of the Villas that we didn't discover until our last day! My only minor issue was that the condo is in a gated community and we were not given the code to the electronic gate. We were very lucky that a worker was staying late in the office the night we arrived, otherwise we wouldn't have been able to get to our condo. Once inside, I called Vrbo and eventually got a call back with the code. I'd advise everyone to make sure you get the gate code BEFORE you arrive! The Kapalua Villas are superb. I definitely would return here in the future, and I highly recommend the Villas to anyone looking for a beautiful place to stay with an ocean view in a great location.

Excellent location and views. Extremely clean and beautiful room. Had issues with gate codes getting into entrance gate of condo. Numbers given weren’t helpful since nobody answered. But despite the poor management the condo was amazing and I would still recommend and will come back for my next trip.

Loved our stay here. Very modern and comfortable. We were a bit surprised that someone entered the property whilst we were out. We did not know anyone would be entering without telling us. The ocean view was spectacular and the proximity to the beach was nice and convenient. Would definitely go back.

Cleanest and best stocked condo in our frequent trips to Maui. Great location and view was even better than in the pictures.

Loved that this place was clean. Loved the gated community. All the amenities including fast wifi, pool access, beach access and ocean front view was amazing. Kitchen was also nice and spacious. Would definitely come here again and recommend.

We loved the property. Good location: short walk to the beach, but little bit far away from shops and restaurants in Lahaina. Since the property is so far north there is always a bit of wind, but the patio is well shielded from the wind. The inside of the property was well equipped, and very clean. However, the shower was little bit disappointing - i don't know how to describe it; but it wasn't as enjoyable. At one point we wished we had a bathtub instead. the internet is good, but the wifi access point is in the back in the bedroom, so the signal get very weak in the kitchen and patio. It would be better if the wifi AP was in the living room. Right outside of the bedroom are the AC units for this and other spaces, so at night you will hear a lot of AC noise. The space has two TVs - which we didn't use at all. But has no speakers, which was very disappointing to me. It would be nice to have few small bluetooth speakers. They don't need to be large. The space feels soo much more enjoyable with some nice and mellow music. Dealing with Vacasa was very disappointing. I'd rather rent from a person than a rental company. Vacasa has their own app, which you have to use to get the check in code. The app worked fine before the trip, but on the day of arrival it logged me out two times, and got all dorked up just as i was trying to open the door. Besides the checkin code, the app does not offer anything more or better then VRBO app does. So, Vacasa: kill the app it is waste of time! Additionally, the app had only the code for the front door. The code for the vehicle gate was not provided to us. We had to have someone let us in. There is no way to reach Vacasa, and I had to call them to ask for the code, I didn't get the code for 2 full days. Additionally, I never got the code for the pool gate. The only other way to communicate with Vacasa is to send them an email. Which i did. I sent them an e-mail 2 weeks prior to my trip to ask for extra flowers to be placed in the rental - they never responded. So there you go, if you want to rent from unresponsive agency go ahead; But I will not.
