Perfect stay and very communicative host.
We booked this unit for three technicians working on a month-long project. The host knew this was a business stay for three adults, but the experience was far from professional. Check-in instructions were vague and led to confusion upon arrival. Most concerning: one bedroom was infested with termites. We reported it on 06/01/25, and while a pest control tech came on 06/03, the termites returned within two weeks. The initial “solution” was a can of Raid. No follow-up visit was arranged, and our techs had to continue sleeping in those conditions. Additionally, a package shipped to the unit for our work were never retrievable. We were later told to “wait for the mail carrier,” which is not realistic during a business trip. The Kihei location was convenient, but the value simply wasn't there. Between pest problems, poor communication, and logistical issues, we would not recommend this unit for long-term or work-related stays until these issues are addressed.
We had a great stay at Kamaole Sands. The unit was very clean, with lots of amenities as described. The balcony view of the mountains and water were absolutely spectacular - the highlight of our morning cup of coffee. Both bathrooms could use updating (very low shower head in master bath) to match the rest of the unit but were perfectly usable and clean. The grounds and pool area were extremely well maintained, with lots of care and attention to cleanliness and safety. The pool was also easily accessible by a quick 2- minute walk. Overall, we would highly recommend and would return again. Thanks for a great stay and making our first trip to Hawaii so enjoyable!
Generally a great place to stay. Air conditioning was broken the entire time we were here, which made sleeping and spending time in the condo unpleasant. They tried everything they could to fix it, but it was a warm 6 days. They did give us a small refund and worked with us after the tsunami evac to let us check out late, which we appreciated. Very kind and responsive company to work with; we will rent from them again. Within walking distance to kamaole 3.
Great hosts, clear communication, and great unit!
This unit was affordable and clean. It felt like a home away from home. We loved staying here for 10 days with our family. Our kids loved the loft. The best part was that this unit provided beach towels beach chairs, cooler, beach umbrella, and wagon so we didn't have to rent any of that stuff. We spent a lot of time at the beach and this just made us so much better. Thanks so much! I would recommend this place to anyone coming here. Hopefully we'll be back!
Been in lots of VRBOs all through the islands, and this one is probably the best. Very nice management, and a seriously nice place!
