On top of the Ocean Hideaway - Oceanfront Views on Maui

Two things. During the week days, there were construction work being done on the complex. Second, my wife thought the bed sheets smelled like sweat. We had to change and clean them.

Everything about the Mermaids Palace was wonderful. The bed is super comfy with gorgeous view to wake up. The unit is perfectly appointed with everything you need to cook in or go to the beach. We really appreciated that. We loved sitting on the Lanai watching whales breach and flap their fins every morning and at sunset. It's super close to South and North Kaanapali beaches as well as Napili and Honolua Bay. We loved the snorkeling at north Kaanapali beach so many turtles, moray eels and Rays. Wonderful stay in a wonderful unit.

Host was quick with communication and responses

It was spectacular. I highly recommend this little piece of paradise. We saw whales blowing while you could also see surfers sitting in the setting sun as the waves were calming for the evening all right from our lanai. Very close driving distance to lots of beaches and malls. She said YES!

Everything we needed for the perfect stay! Boogie boards, a small cooler, beach chairs, towels, beach umbrella, and more! Incredible view, the apartment complex was very quiet and clean. We would stay here on our next trip.

Stayed here for 4 nights. Was a nice quiet community with amazing views at all times. Parking was great, check in and check out was a breeze. Everything was spotless clean.

Excellent location, easy communication with Melissa,private parking, BBQ, pools, tennis court. Large bedroom, fully equipped kitchen, newly renovated bathroom, AC, good Wi - Fi coverage. Beach supplies, tennis rackets, lunch cooler. Highly recommended, we will definitely come back!

Mermaids Palace was wonderful!! This place is a perfect location and beautiful view, we could hear the ocean every night we slept with the door open. This was a great location for everything we did. Foodshopping was about 20 min away and made breakfast some mornings, the condo was well stocked. We at breakfast one morning at the Gazebo down the road and that was amazing food and view!! We loved the road to Hana and the sunset on Haleakalā were perfect. The condo was also stocked with a small cooler for the beach, chairs and an unbrella. What a beautiful memorable place!!

This small condo in Kahala was perfect for the two of us. It’s in a quiet neighborhood, and away from the more densely populated areas of Maui. Anything you need is close by, including swimming/snorkeling beaches, groceries and plenty ono grindz. The condo is nicely furnished and the bed is very comfortable. The A/C cools the place quickly, and opening the windows allows for cooling breezes. Absolutely recommend for 2 people.

Great location with sunset and whale watching off balcony. Melissa provides beach chairs, umbrella and cooler which is most helpful. Huge bathroom and comfortable bed. Located north of Lahaina and between Kaanapali and Kapalua beaches. Would stay here again.

Melissa was great . Exterior seawall needed repairs and flooded some of the yard . Exterior was run down . Interior was fine. Mahalo

We had a wonderful week in paradise, and this condo helped make parts of it that much easier. We loved the location relative to all the things we did while on the island, and the cozy but comfortable accommodations. Thank you so much for sharing your place with us this week!

The place was great and clean, although it looked dated outside, Had everything we needed. The only negative was the ocean view. There were 3 palm trees in front of the unit, their leaves obstructed the view.

The view was amazing! Calm,quiet and tranquil. We fell asleep every night to the sound of the ocean. Just amazing!

melissa’s condo was very nice for us, she had extra items for us to use, beach towels, cooler @ many more, felt very safe on second floor to leave the slider doors open listening to crashing waves cashing @ amazing rainbows every morning

First time to Maui and this was definitely a great place to stay. The host was attentive and amazing, very communicative for any kind of questions. It was exactly as advertised (actually better, because the oceans at your door and you can see the sunset on the porch). Everything you need for your stay is there too. Thanks again!!

This condo had everything we could wish for. The location was perfect, the unit was lovely and very comfortable, and the beach chairs were definitely very useful! Plus, the view from the balcony was spectacular and made our morning coffee so enjoyable. Thank you Melissa for being such a great host!

Million dollar view on the balcony! Everything was provided to enjoy time at the beach - we rented snorkeling gear and swam with turtles. The location was perfect for a ride up the coast in our jeep. Very quiet location! We enjoyed grapes, cheese, crackers and wine on the balcony at sunset. The provided shampoo and conditioner were appreciated. Loved our stay!

The property was comfortable and well maintained. Fully equipped and had a great view of the ocean. The sunsets is truly breathtaking. Would not hesitate to come back. Host is great to communicate with.

We had a wonderful time in Maui staying here! The view off the balcony is absolutely beautiful! Parking was a breeze with an assigned parking spot. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked. The bathroom was also well stocked. The owners have thought of everything to make your stay amazing! Beach chairs, beach towels, small cooler, tennis gear, etc they have it all! There are 2 beautiful beaches with in just a 5-10 minute walk as well as many food options and stores just a short walk away. Our favorite by far was the gorgeous view. We loved sitting on the balcony listening to the ocean and taking in the beauty Maui has to offer. Communication was awesome and they get information to you right way! We loved it! 100% recommend this condo!

We loved our experience! The location can’t be beat and it’s perfect for a couple. The kitchen and bathroom finishes are beautiful & the view CANNOT be beat. Grateful to have kicked off our first Hawaii visit here!

Our stay here was truly amazing! Rainbows on the lanai almost evey day and the neighborhood was quiet with stunning and peaceful views. The condo was a close drive to many beaches and food and activities. The condo itself had everything we needed and more, including a binder of dining, information and suggestions that we used quite a bit. Waking up each morning to lush foliage, rainbows, birds singing, cool breezes and ocean sounds was a dream and washed all worries and cares away! We would definitely book this place again.

From the second we opened the door we were in awe What an incredible view. Incredibly clean. An entire home is a one and a half. Everything you need is there. Comfortable bed and pillows. Air Conditioner to keep cool and fans. Incredible breeze when keeping window shutters open on front door. I cannot say enough about this place. Towels and beach chairs with small cooler and ice pack in freezer. Powerful blow dryer and great smelling soaps. Parking is easy and there is a Ricky beach about two minute walk from condo. Incredible

Neat, tidy, well equipped!

We had a great time Melissa’s place! She was very responsive to text and the condo had everything we needed, including beach stuff. There are a few restaurants near by but I would recommend renting a car to get around. Great place and we would definitely rent again!

Nothing fancy, but can’t say we needed more—beach supplies and deck with view protected from trade winds were perfect!!

Our stay was amazing! Melissa’s place is immaculate and is set up for everything you need. The covered lanai is the perfect place to watch the whales. The one small drawback is no beach but within a short walk beautiful beaches to enjoy.

Melissa's condo was perfect for the 2 of us. We loved the location. Restaurants, stores and everything you might need are within a short distance. The condo itself was clean and modern. We spent a lot of time on the lanai whale watching and enjoying the sunset. We would definitely stay here again!!!

We loved everything about this condo. It was the perfect size for the two of us....sitting out on the lanai watching whales and surfers, listening to the waves. Very nicely updated kitchen and bath areas, comfy bed, and easy access to beaches, shops, coffee shops, dining, and the main road back into Lahaina.

We really enjoyed our stay. Loved sitting on the balcony to eat. The view was amazing. It is located in a quiet area. We saw whales while eating breakfast. Sleep great. I love the smell on the ocean. Enjoy going to see the sea turtles by the sea wall. It was a great experience, would stay again. Great host

I absolutely loved this property! I can hardly wait to come back. I plan to come back to Maui next November. However, I will have a friend with me and wonder whether or not you might possibly have a two bedroom at the same location on the water. Thank you for an absolutely wonderful stay. I wish I would’ve stayed here my whole trip.

We loved falling asleep every night to the sound of the ocean waves. The bed was comfortable, which is invaluable to me since I have fibromyalgia. The space was inviting and everything we needed it to be.
