Everything was Soo goodLife is stressfulThank u for being the best ever place I’ve ever stayed outside a hotel
Rochelle was wonderful and quick to respond. The house was comfortable and equipped with everything that we needed. We enjoyed the wildlife and beautiful plants on and near the property.
The host was very responsive
Excellent communication with host. Beautiful home with amenities included as described. We had a wonderful stay. Thank you!
Always enjoy my stay at this location .Perfect home that takes care of all my needs.I look forward to my next return here .
Amazing area. Was able to walk to a beautiful small park on the ocean. Short ride to volcano National park. Washer and dryer came in handy. Clothesline and pins came in handy for my delicate items. Maku’u market on Sunday a short distance was a real find. You need to visit black sand beaches. Rochelle was quick to respond to any requests.
We enjoyed Kai Malie, walking the neighborhood was both relaxing and beautiful. Our uncle lives in Pahoa, so this was a perfect location for meeting up with him and having our own personal space. The house was comfortable and inviting, with adequate cooking facilities and plenty of room to relax. Rochelle & Ted were quick to respond to questions/issues. We enjoyed our stay and would return.
Always a great stay here .I’ve stayed a couple times here now and would love to come back .Home is perfect for my needs . If the surf is up you can hear the waves crashing at night .
We had a lovely stay at Rochelle and Ted's. We loved the avocados and night time frog serenades!! Thank you!! A special shout out to Patty!! You saved the day!! Aloha Anna, Dan, Cody and Delila
The house was very comfortable and was surrounded by lush vegetation.
Loved this sweet home within 5 minutes of the most beautiful sunrises on the island. It felt like a rustic cabin in the... jungle instead of the woods. Wish we could've stayed longer! Thank you for creating such a great place.
Nice and quiet. Beautiful yard. Comfortable bedrooms. The house has a weird smell but goes away after opening the windows.
Our mother passed away unexpectedly, it was a nice place to go back to after working all day to take care of business. Mahalo.
We stayed for two weeks while visiting family. The house and property were well maintained. The owner was very communicative and helpful during our stay. The neighborhood was nice and felt safe. We would definitely stay again.
Wonderful property & hosts. Would definitely stay again.
This is an amazing place and location! A quiet neighborhood. It seems like there is no one around you because of all the beautiful vegetation. Didn't want to leave. Actually stayed an extra day. Looking forward to return someday soon.
We loved the quietness of the location, and a walk to the ocean. Its cliffs so no water access but nice views. They have cameras for security which was a bit disconcerting, but the location was quiet and off the beaten path. It was an hour drive to Hilo and about 50 min to the Volcano National Park. The host and the local contact were responsive and great to connect with. All in all a great respite and vacation. Their added touches were a wonderful addition.
Wish I could but this app is not user-friendly on my samsung phone.
The house and everything in it needed a good cleaning. We had to wash dishes before we could use them. (Food still on them) Kitchen light would not stay on and the Dan in the smaller bedroom would not come on the light worked but not the fan. Would not stay here again
trees and flowers beautiful too many hidden or extra fees
My husband decided to take me to Hawaii this year for my birthday & I must say the home & island he picked out was perfect. The home was in a great quiet & beautiful neighborhood. There was so much to do on the big island that after being out all day, it was so nice being able to go back to a house that was clean, in a great location & was in a very quiet neighborhood. We spoke with the on island property manager twice regarding questions & she was so helpful. If you’re thinking of visiting the big island, definitely consider this home for your stay!
Very nice. Easy to find. Quiet well equipped home.
This property is a beautiful place to stay. There is a wonderful yard. You can walk to the ocean from the property and see the sea turtles every day. It is very relaxing and quiet here. The lanai is a wonderful place to sit and relax. Will come again to this property. This was already our second time staying here.
We really enjoyed our stay and had everything we needed. It was a very peaceful location and nice to be such a short walk to the beautiful coast. My only suggestion would be to not have to drop off garbage at the end of the stay. Thanks.
Close to the beach and easy access downtown to shopping. Great studio.
The property is exactly as described. I agree with other reviews in that the photos don't depict the interior as well as maybe they could. With the windows open, it's much brighter in the living room than shown. When we weren't by the ocean somewhere or at one of the local markets, we spent the majority of our time on the back porch having our meals and just hanging out. Very peaceful. Rochelle was extremely responsive to all our questions prior and during our stay.
Pro: The interior was much nicer in person. The pictures don’t do it justice. I think they were taken in bad lighting. Con: We we’re responsible for taking our own trash to the dump.
We slept amazing with the windows open and the sounds of the jungle around us. We stayed 3 nights while we explored the Hilo side of the Island and found the location of the home a good central point. Thank you!
We enjoyed the property and the neighborhood. The area is beautiful and tropical. It was a very comfortable place to stay. The only downfall was the washing machine. We did a load of clothes, and oil from the washing machine stained all of the clothing that was washed. Other than this problem, everything else was wonderful!
Perfect place with all the amenities needed for a peaceful, relaxing week away from home.
