It is a large 2 bedroom, 2 bath unit with over 1440 square feet of living space with a huge 508 + square foot wrap-around-lanai. whaler unit 252 is absolutely the best location on ka'anapali beach, literally steps from the beach. many resorts have limited and distant access to the beach.so convenient...out the unit door down the stairs and you're on the beach. the unit is well appointed and the views are magnificent. from the lanai and beach we saw whales, spinner dolphins, turtles, and this year, monk seals. seals were right at the water's edge.sunsets are spectacular every evening. the owners are communicative and accomodating. the grounds are serene and lovely. we've once again already booked our trip to whaler 252 for 2026.
As always this condo never disappoints. We had a wonderful two weeks enjoying the unit, the grounds and watching the whales!
Views are spectacular for whale watching, people watching and sunsets. Comfortable and well appointed with very nice property amenities. You're right next door to Whaler's Village for shopping and many restaurants you can walk to. Very enjoyable stay!
We’ve stayed at many places in Aston Whaler. John and Trisha were great hosts, answered our questions quickly. All went smooth. The location has the best view from all three sides and closest to the beach. We enjoy the second floor for quick walkout. It was well maintained. this is a wonderfully equipped property with the most fabulous views. easy and extremely close beach access and a wrap around lanai that offers both sun and shade for whale watching and dining. the owners are communicative, accomodating and a pleasure to work with. we book this unit every year.
The location of this condo is hard to beat. You are steps from Kaanapali Beach and Whalers Village. If you want to stay somewhere that doesn't require a car, this is it. The condo is a corner unit, and the lanai wraps around both sides, giving a lot of extra space. Some beach chairs, snorkeling equipment and noodles were available at the unit. Watching the sunset every night was incredible. The condo was clean and tastefully decorated. It was very quiet and you have air conditioner thermostats in each room which was perfect for us. The kitchen had everything we needed, but the oven seemed to take a long time to heat. Very few kitchen pantry items were in the condo. Typically, I find that vacation rental homes have lots of spices and at least one bottle of oil. There was a sesame oil bottle with maybe 1/4 cup remaining, some salt, pepper, paprika and lemon pepper. Be prepared to bring your own spices, oil and coffee. There is coffee at the pool that you can get, but it wasn't very good. For the price of the stay ($29,000 after all the fees and taxes added), we were surprised that there wasn't coffee provided. Also, 4 rolls of toilet paper were provided for a 2-week stay for 3 people. I called the management company who informed me that they would not restock toilet paper. These are such simple things that made me scratch my head and wonder why these basics were not provided or restocked.
This unit is a diamond in the rough. Like undiscovered gold, I’m always hesitant to share a review, we will be back often.
