New split system a/c cooling living room and both bedrooms! This 5th story unit offers gorgeous views of the ocean, Haleakala and peaceful Maalaea Bay that you can enjoy on your large, shady, private lanai which is accessible from the living room and master bedroom. The master has a California King bed and ensuite bathroom with tub/shower, while the guest room has king bed and a private bathroom with walk-in shower. Both bedrooms are completely private and separated with doors for plenty of comfort space. This remodeled and beautifully decorated unit also features a in-unit washer/dryer, free wireless Internet, dvd, cable, a well equipped kitchen with a 'sub-zero refrigerator', beach chairs, umbrella & towels, binoculars for whale watching(when in season), cooler for your excursions, and upgraded towels and sheets.

ISLAND SANDS COMPLEX:
Island Sands is a proud, free-standing structure along the Hauoli St. Towering six stories tall, the tan building is hard to miss. Designated parking can be found directly out front or in the west parking lot just before the complex, both lots being shaded with the Hawaiian rainbow eucalyptus trees and dancing coconut palms. The two elevators can be found on the east side of the complex, just passed the resident managers office and next to a calming koi fish pond. Lush green lawns spread down along the oceanfront, leading to a gated pool and multiple public BBQ’s (2), where you can relax, swim, grill, and watch for sea turtles or whales depending on the season (whales visit our islands between the months of December- mid-April). Just outside the pool gate there is a public wash off station to be used any time at your convenience, for cleaning off before residing back to your Maui hale(home). Each floor of is outfitted with a trash shoot, but recyling must be brought down to the ground floor and placed in designated bins on the south side of the complex.
Island Sands is a brief 5 min walk (0.3 mi) via Hauoli St to the longest beach on Maui- approx. 6 miles of sugary sand to explore, swim, snorkel, boogie board and even surf at times.

My family really appreciated this condo. Great view. Plenty of space and amenities. Easy access to all of the west side of Maui. Overall great value!
We loved this condo. It is older but well maintained. Check in was easy. The view off the balcony is amazing. There is a beach within walking distance down the street and chairs, an umbrella and toys included so that was really convenient. Maalaea is a quiet place but also central to pretty much anywhere else you would want to go in Maui, which was great. Would definitely stay there again.
As a 9th time vacationer,with family,to the island, this was our first time staying on East Maui. You have a wonderful facility and we would definitely stay there again.
Condo was clean and in a great location with a great view.
I rented this condo for my sons and their wives. It was their first trip to Maui/Hawaii and this place couldn't have been more perfect. Beautiful decor, amazing views, and very quiet. Very well stocked form the kitchen to the bathrooms, to the ocean toys. Will definitely rent again.
The property was beautiful and the home clean and fully stocked with everything we needed. Would definitely stay here again when we return!
Very clean and comfortable! We could watch turtles swimming and coming to the beach from the balcony. Kitchen was well stocked and there was everything you needed for a day at the beach. Location was nice to walk to shops and restaurants at the harbor. Unit clearly was a little older but has been kept nice. Only gave a 4 overall rating due to 1) AC could not be set lower than 74 and it got stuffy and warm in the condo at times and 2) door to the patio stuck and was so difficult to open and close and took so much effort that I pulled a muscle in my back just trying to get it closed.
We loved the condo 512! Very clean and all the amenities we could ask for. Short walk to beach and shopping mall. The pool and area around it were very clean and comfortable. We liked barbeque steaks one night! We were extremely happy with our time at Island Sands!
Fantastic! We really loved everything about this trip. The unit was beautiful. Perfect location. Clean and well appointed. We hope to re book this same unit next year!
We throughly enjoyed our stay in Maalea. The condo is centrally located in Maui which made travel to the Northern Kaanapali Beach or Southern Makena Beach areas very accessible. The condo was very clean and well appointed. We particularly appreciated how well the kitchen was stocked and the inclusion of quality beach gear. Overall, you cannot beat the view of the sunrise coming over Haleakala and since we visited in winter we were able to view humpback whales daily from the balcony.
The condo was clean and well equipped. We enjoyed our stay in it. Great management company - they had thought of everything we might need to have a good stay in the condo. They had left beach equipment, towels, and starter supplies (bathroom, kitchen, and washer)! Our only suggestion would be to change the keylock box - it’s outdated and we had a hard time using it. Perhaps putting a modern electronic lock with codes will work better for a rental.
