Hotel Moloka’i 1 Bedroom Condo

Moloka’i is an amazing place to rest and unwind. The hosts were easy to work with and the apartment was clean enough except for the two large cockroaches we killed during our stay. There was a musty smell to the place when we first walked in, I’m guessing that’s from the humid climate. The screen door was off its track and didn’t work so we weren’t able to leave the sliding door to the lanai open to enjoy the beautiful weather or air out the space. We picked up some plumerias from the local plumeria farm and placed them in a bowl with some water, which made the room more pleasant. There were also some holes in the screens on the windows which allowed the mosquitos in, so we came home with half a dozen mosquito bites each!! Also, we found out when we arrived that the restaurant at the hotel was closed. This was troubling since we arrived on Christmas Day and everything was closed. I believe the restaurant will be reopening in the near future, but there wasn’t an exact date for that. Luckily, the next day we were able to go to the store and pick up some provisions. The cookware and dishes were very nice and well maintained and there is a coffee maker as well as a hot water kettle! Both great amenities! If you’re looking to go to the beach, you may want to consider a place closer to the west side or further east on the south side of the island. The beach around Kaunakakai has a lot of erosion so not the nicest for laying out or enjoying a swim. Pool is nice though!

Walter was fantastic - very communicative early on and gave me peace of mind heading into our trip that everything was in order. The hotel staff was also very nice. Currently the pool, restaurant and gift store are closed for renovations which was a bummer but not a huge deal. There were plenty of towels in the hotel which was very nice and the AC worked great (which is hard to find on the island). My only complaint is that the bathroom and overhead fans were not cleaned very well and had some dirt and dust on them, and the bathroom sink water consistently came out brown, so I bought bottled water to use instead. That being said given the lowkey laid back nature of the island, this was by far a great option to stay at and I would recommend!

The host provided so much helpful information. The unit was nicely located central on the island for easy convenience. It was comfortable enough, but after so much written about sanitary upkeep, I was surprised by the dirtiness. As a former professional str cleaner, I do have a keen eye. But that didn't stop us from having the best little weekend getaway. The unit could use a maintenance crew to replace the broken louvers, and the tv has a very blurry screen, but we barely watched since we were busy enjoying the island. The restaurant was closed and i guess has been for a while. All hotel staff were amazing. Molokai mo beta for sure

We really enjoy our place, the grounds were spotless and the hammocks were nice touch. We did pick this place because it said they have a Bar/Restaurant/Live music on the premises, which were closed. Not a big deal, we had a kitchenette. We would definitely stay there again..

Property was great, the only thing was that the water from the bathroom vanity was tinged brownish and the floors were a bit dusty. But other than that it was comfortable, quiet and relaxing and felt like home away from home!! Thank you very much!

We very much enjoyed our stay in the condo. Pre-visit communication with Walter and Martha was great; checkin went super-smoothly; the unit itself was wonderful; the whole Hotel Molokai campus is lovely; the location is perfect for access to the the North and the East and the West ends of the island. We look forward to our next stay.

Property exceptionally clean and comfortable. Great wifi as my cell reception was spotty there. Location is close to town, and quiet at night.

The property was located close to town, which was super convenient. There was a restaurant on property that had dinner and live music which was great. There is an activities desk that helped us book some excursions, very helpful.

Walter was a great host, getting us in early so we could get on with our day without lugging around all our gear. We were on island to do work in conservation, and having a quiet, comfy, and clean place to return to at the end of the day was wonderful. Highly recommended for work trips, or just a great spot to get away. Molokai is the best, and Walter's place is perfectly situated to enjoy the island.

Stayed at this A frame for 2 nights and it was the most peaceful, cozy, and comfortable stay in a warm climate that we ever had. The place was clean with everything that you might need for a vacation. It was so quiet and peaceful, except for the roosters. This is the place to get away from city life. The hosts were so prompt and informative. I will definetely stay there again when I am on island.

Everything went GREAT from checking in to checking out.Walter was VERY responsive to all our questions and concerns. We have family on island and it always a treat to come back to a room that was nice,clean and comfy. We will definitely rent this room again. Thank You

Everything was very fine except for the loft beds. At our age, the first floor bed was too small and getting to the loft beds was tricky (had to climb a ladder to a low ceiling bedroom. Other than that surprise, all was great.

This property had a traditional Polynesian look to it . We had plenty of room in our suite. The resort staff was super friendly. The grounds were nice. The outdoor activities company (Molokai outdoor activities) was top notch. This was a wonderful stay on a beautiful island

The residence was what we wanted. The owner was incredibly helpful and there was no problems or surprises with the unit. We would stay there again the next time we come to Molokai. Thank you Walter for a very comfortable place to stay and visit this beautiful island.

An overall excellent place to stay. While the accommodations could use an upgrade, everything we used was totally acceptable. The bed was comfortable and the Lanai was fantastic for late afternoon breezes. Walter was quick to respond when we had a small problem and very easy to work with.

the unit is within hotel molokai so you get the best of both worlds with hotel molokais amenities (pool, bar, restaurant, parking). the unit is well furnished and walter is really responsive and clear with communication. highly recommend!

We had a great relaxing stay. The rental was in a great location. The lanai was a wonderful place to sit, drink coffee, read, and soak in the sounds of the local birds. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen was stocked well. We had plenty of bath and beach towels. Having a cooler and lawn chairs was a huge plus. Visiting molokai was wonderful. We enjoyed the variety the island had to offer from private beaches to the forest with waterfalls. We were able to unplug and slow down! I highly recommend visiting and this VRBO is in a great place!

We had the most relaxing vacation in years staying at the Hotel Molokai. It served our needs perfectly from being able to prepare our own meals to having a wonderful bar and restaurant on property for when we wanted to be more pampered. The pool was wonderful and the nightly entertainment was great. The only reason I submitted a four star overall rating instead of five was because we felt it odd that there was no shampoo provided. We purchased our own at a local market. We don’t travel with our own shampoo because of the airlines restrictions of no liquids over 3.5 ounces. That being said, it certainly didn’t affect our amazing stay and wonderful time on this beautiful island. Mahalo.

It was a really convenient location. Close to town and close to the festivities we were attending.

Condo was clean and well-stocked with all necessities. Communication with owner was superior. Atmosphere could not be beat.

12th trip to the islands, but first to Molokai. Very nice property.

Exactly as described, super cute space that had everything we needed . Beach chairs , a cooler and beach towels included . The bed is a double which was tight for us but we made do . There are two other beds upstairs but we didn’t trust ourselves on the ladder in the night ! There is an amazing restaurant on sight as well as a bar and pool . A bonus was the little store onsite that we rented a beach umbrella for the day for 5 dollars . The grounds are gorgeous and well maintained. The info book left by the owner was full of helpful information. We rented a car for the week which allowed us to explore this beautiful island . Wonderful vacation!

From the moment we began our booking process, then shuttle from the airport to Hotel Molokai, to service at the hotel bar, restaurant, friendliness in town, to departure - was a truly superior experience! Did not understand it was on the second floor. Hard for old people with heavy luggage. Much smaller than anticipated. No body wash or shampoo. First vrbo without those items. No sheets on the bed.

Great stay, nice spacious condo on Molokai. Condo is set up very well (except soap and shampoo ;-) ). Onsite restaurant very good. Sketchy WiFi, but that’s ok, you’re on Molokai. I would stay at this location again.

We're so glad we found this accommodation on Moloka'i! Everything was as described and the location was perfect--near to town and easy to drive to all other parts of the island. The owner, Walter, provided complete info and extra tips. I recommend it!
