Unquestionably one of Honua Kai's best values, Konea 708 is a rare 2BR/1BA suite that offers the space and privacy of an additional bedroom without the price tag of a standard 2BR/2BA. Enjoy beautiful ocean views, and awe-inspiring views of the West Maui Mountains from this luxurious suite's fantastic top-floor location.
Konea 708 affords a perfect opportunity to gather, reconnect, and celebrate. The suite can accommodate up to six guests in one king-size bed, one queen-size bed, and one queen-size convertible sofa. The second bedroom closes off completely from the living room with custom-installed French doors. A unique benefit of this second bedroom is that it offers ocean views and natural light, versus its fraternal twin in the neighboring "06" stack, which does not.
We encourage you to express your culinary creativity in the well-appointed kitchen. The space is fully equipped with stainless steel Bosch appliances and granite countertops, and we have provided every appliance and utensil to prepare the perfect meal or refreshment... just bring the ingredients.
Enjoy your meals on the spacious lanai or dine indoors in the climate-controlled air conditioning. In addition, our commercial-grade Vitamix blender lends itself well to preparing creative libations or smoothies with fresh local produce.
Take pleasure in spending your days at the resort’s three-acre aquatic playground. With four separate swimming pools, a waterslide, waterfalls, fountains, and four hot tubs, there will be no shortage of options for you and your loved ones to enjoy.
When it is time for a bite to eat, Honua Kai is home to the popular Duke’s Beach House, which serves breakfast, lunch, dinner, and cocktails. Duke’s specializes in serving up Hawaiian-inspired cuisine using locally sourced ingredients and freshly caught seafood. Should you wish to enjoy a refreshment by the water, poolside service is available. For coffee, sandwiches, and other grab-and-go items, including beach gear and souvenirs, visit the Whalers General Store conveniently located in the Konea Tower lobby.
A state-of-the-art fitness center is located in the Konea Tower, perfect for guests looking to maintain their workout routine during their stay.
Should you feel like pampering yourself with a refreshing massage or treatment, head to the Mana Ola Spa. This was such an amazing stay for us, truly I can't recommend this enough!!! Check in is a breeze, they are so communicative when we had questions or anything that we needed. The lanai was beautiful with views and we were so glad to have the mountain facing side instead of the inside facing rooms that would have had more noise from the pool! Takes seconds to get to an amazing selection of pools and hot tubs. The beach access is just a few steps further from the pools and it is perfect for the family. Soft sandy beaches with waves to play in, then about 10 feet from the surf it switches to rocks so you can go out and snorkel. We saw multiple turtles out there! Close to many restaurants and things to do!
Always a great property. The host left cookies and treats with a nice note of graduation congrats. Condo had everything we needed.
This was our third time staying at Hona Kai--- Beaches, shops, and restaurants' within easy walking and driving time is great. The 2-5 minute walk to the Gormet Food Truck park and the Slappy Cakes resturant are winners for kids and adults alike.
We took a family vacation here. The location is really convenient in Kannapali to be able to get around all the island. The resort is nice and very family friendly.

Wonderful location for our stay on Maui! Unit was as described. It was well stocked with bathroom and kitchen supplies (soaps, shampoo, detergent - both dish and laundry). It was great having beach chairs already available in the room and even some sand toys. Resort has towels for the pool and beach so no need to pack a bunch of extra towels for your stay. Agency was very responsive to any questions. Check-in was easy. Resort has multiple pools and hot tubs. Great boardwalk for going up and down the beach. A food truck park is right past the resort and we went there twice for some good food. Garage parking is on first come basis so when returning in evening, likely there are no spots. But there is additional outdoor parking around the resort. We did use the valet parking the first night we arrived because arriving in the dark, we had no idea where other parking could be found. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit and this area in Kaanapali. Great snorkeling area. But be aware that this is not a Florida beach. There are rocks and coral in many areas right off the water line (which is why the snorkeling is great!) Sunsets are beautiful! Loved watching the whales. Bring your binoculars if going during whale season! Awesome trip!

Sunsets on the ocean were great, I think best beach area of the island. Close to Lahaina for all shopping, dining. Condo was stocked well (chairs for beach, cooler, salt/pepper, coffee, paper products, laundry soap) which was great. Only restaurant on site is Dukes and could only get in for lunch, dinners booked all week so call way in advance of your trip. One downside was parking in garage limited, if coming back in the evening spots were often gone and we had to walk a bit to park somewhere else on the resort.
This two bedroom unit was clean and comfortable for our family of four. We loved spending time on the balcony in the morning and evening. The children enjoyed the on-site pool/slide accommodations and the sunset views from the beach were beautiful. Shade could be hard to come by near the pools in the afternoon. The resort rents out shade in the form of premium chairs/cabanas but they could certainly fit in more umbrellas. This was a minor issue for us, with so many beautiful beaches and activities, we spent most of our morning/afternoons exploring West Maui. The on-site restaurant was mediocre (and busy) but fortunately there are options nearby by walking and more by car. We made good use of the in-suite kitchen to prepare most meals. The unit delivers - it provides a comfortable home base from which to explore a beautiful part of the world while offering some comforts of a resort. Property managers were very responsive. Good value for a family visit! Tip: Kapalua Bay was fantastic for young snorkelers!
